  1. Yeah i fully expect them to continue the rotation at least until the all star break.
  2. Hamilton in some cap trouble too i thought, getting rid of a veteran like stewart and replacing him with a rookie more than likely saves the cats some cash. Best of luck to BStew tho, always thought he was a pretty good player when he was here.
  3. Jets have sucked vs the WILD since coming back to Winnipeg. This is a big game for sure. As for Hutch's chance, i'm not sure about that, Pav hasn't played well vs Minny like the entire Jets team since being here and in his career for that matter so I think it's just as simple as that, be nice if they gave HUTCH about 4 or 5 6 7 games in a row and see what he does tho for sure.
  4. Nobody mentioned Chase DeLeo who had a strong game for the USA. All our prospects are looking good. Not sure how Kostalek looked, d man prospect for the Jets on the Czech squad but all Jets prospects so far from what i have seen look great. Petan might be small but he doesn't play like he is.
  5. We don't have a bighill or elomimian tho who apparently we're allowed to do what ever they wanted on the field if rumours are true. You take those 2 guys away from bc and the d probably aren't nearly as good.
  6. Another solid extension for sure. Bombers actually doing quite a bit this off-season so far.
  7. Baron Miles too no? he just didn't want to be the DC at this time last season.
  8. UFC fighters only fight once a month or so, maybe what 10 15 times a year? Wrestlers do that in 2 weeks. Wrestlers take way more punishment than UFC people do because wrestlers are out there getting thrown around every night of the week pretty much, what is their schedule? 5 on 2 off or something like that. maybe 4 on 3 off regardless tho it's more than once per month like UFC guys. Few nights ago, WWE was in town at MTS centre, another crew was in sioux city, the night later they were in Minneapolis for RAW, tonight they are elsewhere for Smackdown taping. Wrestlers go night to night, drive from one town to the next, to the next to the next... they ain't flying in to vegas once a month. Might not be the popular answer but wrestlers take way more punishment because they pretty much go out there and do it every night of the week.
  9. well maybe not this forum specifically but twitter after a loss is insanity, so is hfboards always. Guess i shouldn't have said this forum specifically but lots of people do tend to over exaggerate the losses at times. Getting points is good, that was my main point and that's what the Jets have been doing.
  10. Only thing i'll add is... some of you guys need to stop freaking out after every loss or every game where the team only gets 1 of 2 points. Jesus, reading some posts after a loss, you'd think they just blew a 5 goal lead in game 7 of the stanley cup finals. It's crazy actually. What's the teams record the last 11 or 12 games, something like 7-1-3 or so in the last 11. Only one game in the last 11 where they haven't got a point? Time to chill. Are they supposed to win every game or something? Reality is they are a bubble team that right now are only a few points out of 2nd in what some call the toughest division in hockey now. This team is playing well above expectations right now, they might slip up a bit, with the top 4 d men out, it wouldn't shock me but man oh man, all these crazy posts after a loss, it's insane. Just like bomber game day post game threads, people need to just chill and relax a bit b4 posting cuz it's pretty apparent that lots of posts after loss's are just nothing but emotions talking.
  11. Guess i'm not a fan of recycling coaches who were just fired. Doesn't matter who BC's DC is, that D is still good, is that because of benevides or is it the players? I would suggest it's the players cuz that D has been very good for a very long time.
  12. Claybrooks is very intriguing as is baron miles. Surprised Benevides is running away with this. Though more people would want some younger minds.
  13. The love of KJ as a coach comes from the love we had for him as a player, KJ was balls to the wall, like BUCK got killed by a crappy oline and maybe hanging on to the ball too long at times. That's my opinion at least. Plus having both Buck and KJ as coaches can only help The young qb's develop. Both were pretty smart guys, obviously very good with the x's and o's of the game.
  14. Great idea just no time around this time of year. Awesome idea tho.
  15. Punk is actually a huge jerk, he will tell you that he is also. He is a prick, a son of a *****, he beats to his own drum. It's what actually made him great, all the big wrestlers had attitude problems from stone cold steve austin to shawn michaels to bret hart to hulk hogan and the list goes on. Punk is a huge prick, he let's that be known. I won't watch him in UFC but i think people writing him off might be a bit surprised at what he is able to do. The guy has legit skills. I'm sure you will see them displayed when he gets in there and fights.
  16. Pav is 3-0-3 in his last 6 starts i believe. Not terrible exactly. Didn't receive any help at all, the harrison/kane giveaway was awful and the buff/chiarot miscue in OT was brutal too. Pav did make some big saves last night, IMO he was the reason the game actually made it to OT as Philly absolutely dominated the Jets in the third from start to finish really. But i do agree that Hutch does seem to make the big save and does seem to look like he has the ability to be better than average, which pavelec has been this year, better than average. Pav seems to play better on the road and i wonder if maybe playing Hutch at home and Pav on the road would be something they look at doing. Regarding trading pav, there were rumors floating around about Edmonton having interest in him. What can you get for him, who knows but.... I'd imagine maybe a Pav for Fasth trade might help both teams out. For some perspective tho, the Jets are without their top 4 D and have picked up points in basically 10 of their last 12 or so games. Not bad really. Yeah they probably let one get away by not really playing to win in the third last night but for a team down their top 4 D men, if they can keep getting points, which they have been doing, they should be ok. They do have a little bit of a cushion as it comes to a playoff spot right now and reality is only about 5 or 6 points out of 1st in the division, If they can even go .500 the next month or so until everyone is healthy, they will have a very good chance at making the playoffs.
  17. 2 shots in the third was the reason. 2 giveaways. Tying and winning goal both unassisted.
  18. Bogo for Eberle? I don't think so. Buff will move back to forward and Halischuk will drop to the 4th or one or both party and clitty on waivers or traded. Pardy
  19. When's the last time wally won consistently.
  20. Solid trade actually, Harrison is like a better version of adam pardy and grant clitsome really. What this might mean when everyone is healthy is pardy going down to st johns.
  21. I'm thinking it's because Brohm probably wants a chance to play more and probably won't get that here with Willy and even Marve showing more potential. Willy is the man here. Brohm will probably end up in BC or SASK or even Montreal.
  22. I'd honestly rather they go with the young guys and see what they got. Chirot has looked solid, without toby and bogo getting hurt, chiarot wouldn't have had a look. Bring up Kichton or one of the guys from St Johns, see what happens. If it doesn't work out, then you can look at the trade route but the team seems to be doing alright as is, is stuart a big loss? sure but he's not as big of a loss as toby trouba and bogo were and the team was doing just fine without them.
  23. Hall was the defensive coordinator in sask last year, sask like us were ranked in the bottom 3 in points given up. Not sure i like Hall, Benevides? on the fence really, if it's him cool, if not that's ok with me too. Really do want to see what some young minds can do, Claybrooks is definitely interesting. People talk about bringing in guys with no experience but really who was the last guy we gave a shot to that didn't have much experience? Creehan? And that was under tim burke so really... prior to that? I can't really think of the guy. We seem to have gone a bit of a veteran DC route before, more so rookie head coaches. Burke, Etch... both experience DC's. Regardless, Creehan was the only guy that wasn't. I don't care if the guy has experience or not, sometimes experience is a bad thing as seen with etch, sometimes it's a good thing. Sometimes being a rookie DC is a bad thing, sometimes in the case of guys like Thorpe,Steinhauer,Washington it's a good thing.
  24. Good god almighty this again.
  25. Don't think the players on D were the issue, the scheme i think was, We got a pretty solid DB group, Pretty damn good, Dline lost a guy who people seem to under rate but the minute he went down, the dline play did too, zach anderson. We lacked a middle linebacker too, a real one at least, Wild played the position well but he's best suited to the outside. The players are fine i think, It's the scheme that cost them more often than not, it's the lack of caring about the run game, it's the perceived lack of caring about tackling and instead of wrapping him up, try to strip the ball from him, these are all coaching things, Etch things. The players were only part of the problem. And really, A middle linebacker, a defensive end or 2, and some better depth and we should be fine.
