  1. Yup, it's a good news thing, I just really don't think he's in the JETS plans. But yup gaining an asset is always a good thing.
  2. Just a gut feeling butt don't see Burmistrov being back with the Jets at all, I have a strong feeling that they will trade him, perhaps for a pick (maybe 3rd rounder) or perhaps package him up with someone else for a larger deal.. I just don't see Burmi fitting in with the current group anymore.
  3. Helle goalie playing for the US
  4. What I've learned posting here is you think everything the bombers do is the wrong move so just saying, but since you seem to always think they are doing wrong, your shtick is getting/gotten old.
  5. Good news regardless of the amount. It's not easy to find a QB. US bomber fans should know this more than everyone else.
  6. Or the bombers want competition at every spot. They also have some holes. DE. LB. 1 receiver spot. RB probably. Also a new D scheme too.
  7. Not shocked lol. I'd be shocked if it hit plus 30 in April. 4 more degrees. Just gut feeling they go wr at 2 I'm not in to trading pick 2 for other picks, I mean what's the point really, It's the CFL DRAFT, not the NFL draft or NHL draft.. In my opinion, a guy taken at 2 is just as likely to succeed or fail as the guy taken at 22 or whatever really. It's not like there are sid crosbys or jameis winstons in the CFL draft, It's a bunch of guys that really, you don't know what you are gonna get. With an OL, you could get a flop like Scott Mitchell who was ranked like number 1 in his draft year.. Or you could get a pierre luc labbe, say what you want but the guy had a great career and was a very late, if not the latest pick in his draft year. In 2 years that OLINE you take at 2 might be off to the NFL cuz the NFL wants oline too.. say we take an oline at 2 and he leaves for the NFL in a couple seasons? Is it a good pick? He never comes back meanwhile one of the guys we passed on, let's just say Demski here, he's a 1000 yard guy. I'm under the impression here that the rankings are meaningless, if you want Demski, take him at 2. If that's the guy you actually want... where you pick him is irrelevant, If he's the guy you want... pick him at 2 and go OL at 11 really. It's all about who the bombers feel will be the best player in the draft, perhaps the best player not to go to the NFL even in the draft, Listen Henock was a great player but he's in the NFL now.. was it really a good pick when you think about it? Don't you want guys who will stick around their entire careers? If the bombers feel that Demski is the guy, get him, if they feel it's an OL, get him instead. It's all about who they feel is the best player available, in terms of needs i would assume. Looking at the roster, Geez that Canadian receiver depth looks pretty weak actually.
  8. Benton is gone. Interesting and Lyn too. Guess didn't impress as much in mini camp
  9. Just sign him and end this madness lol
  10. Hurl Newman Briggs. Makes one definitely assume Canadian starting LB. Not sure if Middle or WILL tho
  11. Also to be fair the mini camp is being held in Ottawa not Florida
  12. All I will say is replace Willy with "insert Jets player here" and I'm pretty sure I've read this article b4
  13. Shocked if they do go OL. Either way it's irrelevant but I think receiver has way less depth and there still will be OL at 11 and even 15. Draft being OL heavy makes me think going elsewhere at 2 makes way too much sense. Receiver being most likely
  14. Complaining about location after its built is pointless. It's a pretty great stadium. I live 2 minutes or so from the north perimeter and have had no issues getting to games on time.
  15. Demski makes more sense cuz the DL has turner Anderson and even Collins there who might be a beast. Looking at all American DL with a Canadian cb and lb.
  16. Many coaches b4 Eakins came in. Same roster too. It's an on ice problem. Too many small skilled forwards with no heart
  17. Kimmo timmonen and Dan Boyle are both under 6 feet. Those guys are pretty good. That's just 2 players tho. Some forwards under 6 feet include Marty st louis, sid the kid, Patrick kane, Claude Giroux, Pavel Datsyuk. Really the size thing means nothing. Toby is a very good defensive d man. He's a legit number 1 D at worst 2nd pair. Nonsense that's he's a bottom pair guy. Ridiculous to even suggest such a thing even. Has a rough couple of playoff games playing with a bad shoulder and he sucks? Funny cuz buff looked like crap and played much worse and he's a big guy. Size in nhl is irrelevant really. Minny ain't a huge team and they beat the bigger st louis. Size = irrelevant. If it mattered teams like Boston San Jose and LA all would have made the playoffs. They didn't tho. Smaller teams like minny Nyr tbay Montreal even all did. Chicago? Minny? They have a couple big guys like the jets but as a team they aren't that big on average really. The days of the broadstreet bullies are gone. Players are now smaller and more skilled. Guess cuz Toby plays well defensively and is "small" and doesn't do flashy things on the ice he sucks?
  18. Give it a rest already
  19. He's a top left handed D man on a good contract. He'd get lots
  20. Anderson,Turner,Collins and others makes me think we are going all american on the DLINE.. I think it's pretty obvious we will have 2 canadians on D, one LB, one DB... The rest will be on the O side of things.
  21. Lots of doubt, this Morley release was rumored to happen a long time ago. I think the more likely scenario is once Picard was signed, Morley was done as a bomber.
  22. But seriously, 3 picks in the top 15. Current National OL on the roster - Griffiths,Everett,Neufeld,Picard,Greaves,Goossen. 3 will start. 4 will be rostered Current National Receivers - Kohlert,JFG,Bastien,Reaves. 2 will start... wouldn't 2 others need to back up? Reaves is PR bound FOR SURE.. tells me they will go Demski at 2 as there will be OLINE available at 11 and 15 for sure, Maybe not the "top ranked guys" but really those rankings mean nothing. Some of those top guys will be looking to the NFL in a few years and the NFL will WILL give them a chance,, see ben heenan and Brett Jones. The only way i see them not going Demski at 2 is if in his interviews, Demski tells every other team he will only play for the Bombers.
  23. just a message to MIKE: make sure you wear those shorts for about 5 days straight, eat lots of burritos, tacos, east indian food too. Thanks.
  24. Myers,Trouba,Buff Toby,Stu,Chiarot Yeah pretty obvious which guy i would be moving out of that group.. It's the guy getting paid like he's a top pairing d man but is playing on the third pair. Maybe if Buff can be moved for a top 4 d, then maybe i think about moving Toby, cuz Toby also would get quite a bit back, he's so undervalued it's actually crazy... plenty of teams would give up tons to get him.. Let's bring recent history into this.. LA traded their first (protected tho, because they didn't make the playoffs so its' a 2016 1st to Carolina) plus a pretty good D prospect for Sekera. RENTAL NYR gave up a 1st (this year), a great prospect in Duclair and something else for Yandle. 1 year remaining on his deal Buff would get back atleast that..Sekera a pure rental for LA got back a 1st and a legit D prospect Toby? a legit number 1 LHD signed to a decent deal for what? 3 more years? man oh man, you'd get back a ton.
  25. Walters pretty much said these 2 releases were SMS related. I think it's that simple. 2 guys getting paid lots of money, 2 vets at that. There is always someone cheaper for sure. The way of the CFL really and football in general for that matter. Heck, Sports in general.
