Little is the number 1 center no ands ifs or buts really about it. He actually might be our best player overall. No chance he is third line center.

I think buff may sign a very reasonable extension this off season and they will flip him to the left side. Just a feeling I get now. Seems to like it here and is a leader. Might not like it elsewhere and wouldn't be one of the leaders. 5 x 5

2 of kings Canucks and flames getting in anyways so those games don't really hurt us. What a game tho. Super Pav again. Buff didn't look so good early in the d zone but played well all in all
-
Publicity grab? WTF really. Why. Obviously they liked what they saw when he worked out for them. For the record Dr, who was the last "publicity grab"

People went on this off season about thorburns deal. Slater paid more I think and doing less. Winning faceoffs I'd nice but you gotta do a wee bit more than that out there.
-
Copp is older so it does burn a year of his contract. Trouba was 19 so it didn't.

Bye bye slater
-
And the Jets signed Michigan captain Andrew Copp. Bye bye slater in the off season
-
Buff is back tonight.
-
All slater does is win face offs tho. Even then winning it and getting it out of your zone Is a different story. Yeah faceoff wins are a good thing but it's not really that big of a deal if you lose them too. It's kind of like the plus minus thing. Don't mean much at all

It's not easy to find a good quarterback with potential. We should know that. Willy is a good QB with potential. A deal will get done in due time

Stafford and Myers were traded b4 the deadline In the kane deal.

If you asked me 2 weeks ago if we would go 5-1 in our last 6 games, i would have told you NO WAY in hell. Who did we beat in the process/ Tbay? a very good team, st louis? a very good team, Edmonton? not so good, San Jose? that was a huge win against a team chasing us, and who was the other? was it LA? 4 Of our last 5 wins in this little 5-1 stretch have been against very good teams too. Montreal,NYR, Chicago.. who knows, could get 1, could get 2, could get 3 points, could get 6. Who really knows what team will show up. If it's the team that showed up against tbay,la,san jose,st louis, we should be fine, if its the team that showed up against edmonton starting in the third and against vancouver the last 35 40 minutes, then all bets are off. -
Teams are always looking to get younger, NHL is a young mans game, It's not just about this season either, it's about the past 4, if they miss it this year and they were "buyers" at the trade deadline, adding tlusty and stempniak really, that's what they "bought", might not have if Perreault was healthy, but if they miss it, it will be just like every other season since relocation, not quite good enough. Eventually if that keeps happening and it might happen again this year, you gotta look at the core of the team and make decisions there. Can this team win how they are set up right now or do changes need to happen? It's not my call really but... it's not about 1 season, it's about 3 or 4 now where they might not be good enough to make it. Being in contention only matters if you make it, if you finish 9th, It's basically a kick to your nuts really.

Hutch was the only reason the game stayed at 3-2 for as long as it did, he made several huge saves, several, Kept the team in it really, the team just sucked. Theres no other way to put it, The team sucked and if Pavelec started, we still would have lost cuz the goalie can only do so much, he's not out there getting shots on net, he's not out there taking penalties, he's not out there messing up 3 on 1 opportunities and not getting shots on goal in the process, That was a joke there, two 3 on 1's and we got zero shots out of it, My god, Slater, GOOD RIDDANCE next season really... The team didn't deserve to win and if PAV played, they still would have lost. People need to stop this crapping on the goalie stuff when the goalie was the only reason the game was so close for so long. The worst part about this game was the commentary and the canucks for kids stuff, it's a good cause, i get it but... it was basically a canucks regional broadcast and that's brutal. How does anyone get off blaming Hutch when the team had all of 5 shots in the third period.. I don't get it really. If PAV played and started and we lost? what would it be? should have started HUTCH? Gonna say it and go there but this crapping on the goalie stuff is eerily similar to bomber fans who for years crapped on every qb that came through this town, It's crazy actually.. Fun facts here, Pav has a 917 save percentage, Hutch has a 913 save percentage on the year.. That's good enough, that is league average goaltending really, Jets have got league average Goaltending. Before the season started, people were going on about if only the Jets could get average Goaltending, well they have gotten it, they are still in the 2nd wild card spot, Maybe just maybe, the team in front of the goalies just isn't good enough yet? I hope they are, i want them to make it but if they don't, I'll bet significant changes come this off-season.

Then again if this team doesn't make the playoffs, it's possible we see some bigger changes
-
Played like crap for 2 periods really. Can do that against Edmonton and win but not against a good team. Hutch kept the game close. Made several key saves. Jets had what? 5 shots in the third? Won't win any games like that. The score might have been 5 to 2 but really it's a 3-2 loss. Empty net goals are irrelevant really. Not sure why anyone would be bothered by it

Great. Canucks announcers.
-
Jets do need a 3rd line lw tho. Ehlers will be a jet next season
-
Still like Scheifs hit because it's not expected from him
