If they take Yes E it's because they feel he's the better player and has the more complete game. I'd say 90 percent chance we take him. However I wouldn't be surprised if we didn't. Honestly... both Laine and Puljujarvi and Matthews for that matter played overseas where really you can't watch them on TV. These tournaments are neat and all but I hope these scouts aren't drafting on what a guy does or doesn't do at a tournament. They have seen these 3 play 15 20 or more times each. I've seen Laine maybe 5 times and Puljujarvi about the same and Matthews maybe twice. In my opinion I thought Puljujarvi was the most impressive one... the most consistent one and the one that stood out the most because he did everything very good. It would not surprise me if The Jets took Puljujarvi. It wouldn't surprise me if they took Laine either. Whoever they take... I'll be happy as long as it's one of Matthews Laine or Puljujarvi. If they go off the board... they won't but if they do... then I won't be happy. But to say I have a favorite of the 3 most obvious ones ... I really don't. I think they all will be very good players in the NHL sooner rather than later. I'm fine with Laine. I'm fine with Puljujarvi. Whoever we take will be a good player. You almost have to wonder if Puljujarvi wasn't injured in grand forks and played in this tourney..if maybe ppl would be talking more about him.

AHL for sure. I think the fact that the AHL club is Jets prospects helps. WHL would be cool but not sure it would be supported as much as the Moose are. BWK played some games here before and I don't think they drew very well.

Rubstov gonna fall. Don't think the Jets take him as there has been very little indication that he's even interested in a nhl career. His interview will be key for sure. If he tells the Jets and other teams he will leave Russia for the NHL... he will go b4 the Jets pick. If not ... he's gonna fall big time. Talented beyond belief but... I was gonna go easier on the refs this season but after reading this.... I can't help but think he's doing more harm than good once again. Fans gonna be all over the refs this year. Bottom line... do your job right and people will praise you. Do it wrong and they won't. Stupid refs seem to want to be stars like the players.

Yeah, I'm well aware of what he's said and all that stuff. I just don't think he comes across as a guy who would sign a new contract a month or 2 ago only to leave that team for an assitant role with the Jets 2 months later. I'd be happy if he did but... I'm just doubting that he will. Like i said, I fully expect Hawerchuk to one day be a coach of some kind with the JETS, i just don't think it will be now. 3 years from now? For sure. Now tho? Probably not. Don't get me wrong, I'd be happy if he did but i just don't see him being the type of guy to sign a new deal not long ago to stay in Barrie only to leave 2 months later.

Personally, i think people expecting them to be exactly like the old jerseys were kidding themselves. That wasn't gonna happen. It was always gonna be an updated version. I like them also. Think they look really nice actually. It's kind of like the Jets home and away, I own a blue jersey but recently i've started to prefer the white away jersey.

He just signed a 3 year deal like 2 months ago, He isn't gonna leave right now, In 3 years, he very well could be Head Coach of the Jets tho.

KW was saying they will probably go with just 1 CDN starter at receiver (Kohlert) so... I'd imagine Richards does make the roster in some way, Not sure he will have to play that much, but... honestly when he did play a little bit last year, he looked semi decent. Young guy, needs some time, think he could turn in to a good receiver for sure in a year or 2...

Hawerchuk isn't leaving Barrie yet... It isn't happening. I'd be shocked if it did considering he just signed a new 3 year deal with Barrie. Maybe in 3 years, but certainly not now.

In closer to home NHL/AHL news, Rumors have Pascal Vincent becoming the next head coach of the Moose. Interesting if true, cuz he was in charge of our PP and PK the last few years and hasn't really done a good job, The only positive i could think of would be we'd have a new guy in charge, Jets that is.

Niemi has a NMC so he's not going anywhere, Lehtonen maybe, but not sure who would take him for what he's being paid right now. Dallas needs to fix the D, Lehtonen was the only reason they made it to game 7. I hope San Jose or St Louis win the cup. Pittsburgh? Meh, been there done that, I've seen them win it before, Tampa? I vaguely remember them winning it before, San Jose? I'd love to see Thornton finally get to lift the Cup.
