  1. Sting in an interview with Slam Wrestling said he's there to put guys over.
  2. That person doesn't exist. Give me Steinhauer or Thorpe as coach
  3. Really. The rock from ballers. Lots of effort here. Good job.
  4. If Burris got hurt Ottawa would probably be as bad as we are.
  5. Dropped balls and over throws are not on the coaches. The lack of talent is not on the coaches. It's so easy to blame a coach.. scapegoat mentality really but what can a coach do when receivers drop passes and qbs over throw guys. The team didn't quit. They actually had more first downs time of possession and yards than Montreal did. The D didn't quit. The O didn't quit, they just weren't good. Special teams is an issue but O'sheas resume says he's a good special teams coach... played it and coached it. It tells me it's a lack of talent. Fire the coach? I wouldn't. I'd be looking at the GM right now. That lack of talent is on him and our scouts
  6. I didn't see any quit in the team so Nichols is right. What I saw was a lack of execution by our O. Poor play calling but they didn't quit. They just aren't good enough.
  7. Now, I'm not blaming the fans here at all but... part of the problem is the lack of patience around here, I'll be the first to admit i Want MB gone but i've wanted him gone for a long time now but.. after every loss, fans lose their minds and want everyone gone. I'm not saying the fans are the reason but... at the same time, we need to show patience, the BOD needs to show patience, you can't keep firing guys every 2 years or so and expecting someone else to come in and be a god immediately and if he's not, he's shown the door and the cycle keeps repeating itself. The other problem is QBs, we haven't had a legit QB in years, we got one now in Willy but the OC is getting him killed so really, it's like we don't even have a QB anymore. Nichols is ok, he's not great, he's not awful, he's just ok, good backup really but probably not a starter. The main reason tho in my opinion, at least this year and last... our OC, we are dead last in many categories, our D is pretty good, our special teams not so much but again that's lack of talent there, young canadians really learning on the fly... Jake Thomas is the only played Joe Mack drafted that is still on the roster for us, that's a problem.. Our drafting hasn't been good, some of the guys walters have taken have shown the ability to play but they are also rookie and or 2nd year players... really lack those vet canadians out there and the ones we do have just aren't good. Pontbriand, Cronk,Remple to name a few. There is no magic formula here, i think firing the OC would be a step in the right direction tho. I think for years we got a reputation around the league of an organization that lacks patience and fires people way too quickly at times, some justified, some maybe not.. it takes time to reverse that reputation, stability is important and for a long time we have had no stability at all.. front office on down really... You look around the league at the really good teams, Calgary..stability. Hamilton has stability now, didn't for years but finally do.. Montreal has stability, Popp has been the man for a long time, BC, not so good but stability there for sure with Buono. It's something we have lacked... I also think if you look back at our OC's the last several years you will see a whole lot of terrible coaches, Crowtown and MB come to mind right away... why do we have to settle for these guys tho? Probably because of our instability as an organization, do coaches want to come here and coach and be fired in 2 years if things don't go well? Probably not, they want the ability to build a team, it takes some time, our Canadian depth was so poor for so many years, this goes back to Taman trading away our picks for vets, it goes back to Mike Kelly gutting the team, it goes back to Joe mack having only 1 drafted player still on the team.. it takes time to repair that damage. In the CFL, you are only as good as your QB's and your Canadians... for years we have really had neither. You hear about players like Eric Norwood who was on our NEG list but didn't want to come here, why is that? he's not the only one either, he's just the guy that sticks out to me at the moment, why didn't he want to come here? Lack of stability i bet played a role cuz when you really think about it, i'll bet for lots of players in the CFL... cost of living is an important factor... outside of regina, i'll bet winnipeg is a lot cheaper of a place to live then say toronto montreal or vancouver yet players still don't want to come here.. why? once we figure out the why, i think you will find that the answer to the question of why have we been so bad for so long will be right in front of your face.
  8. Don't get the veltung love at all, guy might have had a good game or 2 but he's done nothing in a long time. Veltung won't make a difference back there... it's not one guy that makes the difference, it's the entire unit... You could have the greatest return man in the history of football but if he has to do it all by himself all the time, he will suck. Stoudemire,Veltung,Washington,Henry Gizmo Williams, It's irrelevant really. Look at how montreal sets up their blocking and then look at ours... We just lack the talent out there. It's really that simple and it's not 1 guy or 1 coach, it's a bunch of them. O'shea was good in Toronto as special teams coach, he's played special teams, he's coached it, the guy was very good with Toronto..his resume says he's a good special teams coach but when you don't have the talent on the field, what can you do. What could Veltung do? Nothing, he'd look the same as stoudemire back there really. Part of me hopes they put him back there next game so people can stop with this it's just stoudemire stuff, stoudemire has sucked but... he's not the only guy out there sucking on special teams.
  9. 11 first downs, 181 yards passing.... That's not very impressive at all. Those are cromptons numbers by the way. He wasn't very good.
  10. No but when it was 3 0 or 6 0 why not? we didn't tho. We never do. Irving and brown just going off on the play calling right now big time. The OC is putting players in positions to fail, Denmark asked to catch hitch passes and make guys miss, that's not what Denmark does.. Denmark beats guys with his speed, he's a speed guy.. he's not a make 5 guys miss guy.... What does MB have him do tho/ hitch passes that he has to make 5 guys miss to gain 1 yard.. It's the play calling, it's the fitting square pegs in to round holes thing. I've always been under the impression you don't design an O around what you think is best, you design it around the players you have... MB instead of using our players strengths, he's using their weakness and asking them to do things they are incapable of doing. Denmark is the perfect example, hitch pass, try to make 5 guys miss... he's not that guy tho, he's a speed guy who beats guys with his speed... MB says screw that tho and let's just throw hitch passes to these guys.. Let's not use their strengths at all. One good half vs the worst D in the league last week, does not change the fact that our O sucks and has sucked for going on 2 years now... bottom of the league in pretty much every category... yeah Brohm and Marve sucked but... the O wasn't exactly good with Willy either... Bottom of the league for 2 years now... yet the OC is still here running the same damn O that sucks so bad.
  11. Almost like a guy named Crompton who was 4th on the depth chart and went on to become a 7-1 starter for another team..... what team did he play for before he joined the Als?? Coincidentally because the Esks made a mistake thinking that Nichols was better than Crompton.Nichols is better than Crompton. Not a chance. Definitely. I don't know what you see in Crompton. IMO last season will end up being his greatest accomplishment as a pro. He'll be out of the league by 2017. Every team in the league except Toronto and Calgary would be better with him as their number two QB. Absolutely false. You are wildly overrating Crompton. I'd take him over DeMarco in Ottawa but that's about it. I'd take the chance on an unproven guy like Jeff Matthews in Hamilton before I would go with a mediocre QB like Crompton. He has no future in the CFL. I'm hoping he gets the start this week so we can see exactly what Nichols vs Crompton looks like. Lol what did you think? Crompton wasn't very good actually.. he was very very average, threw for less than 200 yards. He wasn't good. Not the best time to make that comparison. Crompton didn't win the game for the Als and rarely to never does.
  12. cuz Miller was the guy that brought in bellefeuille to begin with and would more than likely name him interim coach just because.
  13. Today wasn't MB's fault. Today was on the players. Sure the receivers didn't help but did you watch the play calling. MB doesn't get a mulligan just because the players played like their OC. Utter crap. I thought the play calling was fine today. Problem was the players. The players couldn't execute, made too many mistakes. I do think there's a leadership problem. Watch the game again... bombers biggest gains were on broken plays or second effort by Marshall. Teams are waiting for the Denmark fly and the hitch screen. They know that MB doesn't move the pocket. Keep building the pressure as the game progresses and the bombers will break. agreed. Hitch plays, runs up the middle.. 23 of 48 for Nichols, 48 fn passes. UNREAL. The play calling is so predictable and vanilla. One good half vs the worst D in the league does not save MB's ass.
  14. Oshea is a very good special teams coach, he was very good in Toronto, he's a good special teams coach... his resume says that... I think it's the lack of talent on the team that is hurting special teams the most. The lack of talent isn't on the coach, it's on the GM.
  15. I hope they wouldn't but nothing would surprise me with this group.. It's my biggest fear really in terms of the bombers, they fire O'shea and name MB as interim coach. Guess who brought MB here to begin with as a consultant? It was wade miller...
  16. The O left a lot of plays on the field, several drops, big drops.. stoudemire, adams to name a few obvious ones. Play calling was total garbage, and Nichols was definitely off but he didn't get much help at all.
  17. Welcome to ignore. Great feature really.
  18. Who the hell else would they name the interim coach... the DC? un bloody likely, it would be MB... it's obvious and i'm not sure why people don't see that.
  19. I just keep seeing Montreal when MB was OC there, just awful, gave up tons of sacks, didn't score much points, no run game, no real passing attack... fired and the year after, the gave up half as many sacks and scored way more points.
  20. Canadian content seems improved under walters, the american content is not tho.
  21. Once again tho, the O is stinking it up out there.. that's on MB once again... the O has not been good for a while, even last week, that was SASK, the worst D in the league.. once again the O fails to show up... I'D FIRE MB right now. The worst move they can make is firing OSHEA before firing MB, cuz if MB was interim coach, I'D never watch a game again until he was gone, i think lots of people would stop watching for real if MB was made interim coach.
  22. fire walters, the scouts, the coaches, half the players....
