Leake is a bit bigger than most returners at 6-0" 205 lbs. he has a much longer stride but can fly, reminds me of James Wilder bodywise.

I don't know which thread to post this in, but here's a bit of bad news aimed at the folks that brought us the Freedum! Convoy. Convoy organizers try to quash $300 million lawsuit https://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/ottawa/convoy-organizers-try-to-quash-300-million-lawsuit-1.6921835 Warms the cockles of my heart to know Tamara Lich, Pat King and company, won't be able to profit off the party they threw that trashed the house.

Week Eight: BLM Returns to Battle the Crumback

Same thing happened to Ricky Ray when he lost his arm strength, no reason Bo can't continue his career for another 3-4 years but he has to accept he's no longer a gunslinger and has to use his intelligence to distribute the ball on a shorter radius like Ray and Matt Nichols did. -

First pre-season game with the starters in, 4 players running sideways and Zach shovelling the ball off to the one going in the right direction, hope we see more of that motion later on. -

Little known fact, there were originally 8 dwarfs, they turfed Surly after he went ballistic when Snow White couldn't stop tugging on his ears. -

I see they're bringing John Murphy back next season, I suspect he never really left and has been contracting all along, probably keeping a low profile working from a remote location. https://torontosun.com/sports/football/cfl/toronto-argonauts/argonauts-shake-up-the-cfl-by-bringing-back-john-murphy-according-to-sources -

Still trying to figure out the architect of this Argo team as they don't have much of a football ops. staff, do you think it was Pinball, John Murphy working under cover, or the best remnants of the Stamps coaching staff? I can't believe it was Larry Tanenbaum.... -

Crum is following a simple playbook, a smart DC will disguise coverage and try to confuse him, much like Bombers did to Rourke last season. I don't know if the Ti-Cats are capable enough to pull it off, but easy enough to spy him and shut down his running as Judge did last week. -
I think the last time I saw O'Connor on TV she had fully converted to islam, wore a full head scarf and had changed her name to Shuhada Sadaqat, rejecting the patriarchal slave name her Irish parents had burdened her with. She rejected her Catholic upbringing violently, yet didn't have the strength or the wisdom to find her way without fully embracing another religion. I don't care for her pop oriented work at all, but one of my favourite albums of all time is her interpretation of Irish folk songs on the album Sean-Nós Nua, and I ain't even Irish.

IMO Kelly is challenging Collaros as the best QB in the league this season, he has an advantage in that he can also use his legs to gain yards when needed, something Zach is no longer encouraged to do, for good reason. -

Best running game of the year so far was in Mtl., rain seems to force them to use all of their running weapons more effectively. Hopefully they start to rely on Bailey, McCrae, Demski and even Augustine a little bit more to diversify their running attack and take some focus off of Brady. -

Former Bombers in NFL (and spring leagues) news

That's not how it's trending right now, from all appearances they've already peaked and are on their way down. If we see a strong renewal of personnel next season that may change, but O'Shea has decided to ride players past their peak and this season it appears they've already been surpassed by 2 teams in terms of performance and have fallen off their high mark. If the Bombers want to remain on top another 2 years O'Shea needs to embrace the reset function as enthusiastically as Wally ever did. -

The Argos have certainly built an impressive roster over the last few years, who is the real architect, Pinball, Dinwiddie or John Murphy? -
I have zero hope any real action will be taken, take a story as serious as the one posted below, then go read the hundreds of disparaging comments left by idiots in denial. People who are willing to make the necessary changes for the betterment of the eco-system and life on earth are surrounded by selfish fucktards who aren't. https://www.cbc.ca/news/world/heat-round-up-1.6918191 Waters off the coast of Florida as hot as a hot tub.

I seem to recall the early transition to Kona at Center last season after Couture was injured did not go super smoothly and reflected badly on Neufeld in particular, there was an increase in O-line breakdowns and Zach paid the price in a number of games. Comparing this year to last may not give a clear picture of the worsening protection over time we suspect has happened. DT may have to go back to 2021 stats. to get a better comparison of deteriorating protection. -

Ti-Cats basically gave Davis to the Stamps, sixth-round pick in the 2024 CFL Draft. Vaughters may be out for the season so the Stamps had a big hole to fill. Semi-pleased Walters isn't interested in old has-beens. -
Rewatch the 2nd down play in OT against Ottawa, critical breakdown between Kona and Neufeld led to Zach getting sacked and put the game on the line.

People might not want to acknowledge the level of difficulty cutting a 3 in 1 Natl. kicker caused the team in roster management, there may be measurable benefits down the road, but the cost of replacing him and the lost ratio flexibility he allowed has become a real inconvenience. As much as I wasn't Leggs biggest fan, I don't think it's been worth the tradeoff. -

Yep, Zach leans towards gunslinger so he gets hit more often than Nichols, who was content to pick up first downs until they reached the 45. Even before 2019 Nichols was boasting of "not touched" games and they had a number of them. -
Judge spying Crum seemed to keep him contained in the second half, that's a good start.
