  1. Comes right back to roster management and why they choose to make do waiting for players to regain health, instead of using temp. replacements. It could be a money issue with a tight bottom line.
  2. NFL PR money is not steady income, most PR players get cut a few times, jump to different teams and repeat the process, they rarely get promoted to a game day roster for even a few games. Brady has the option of having a spectacular CFL career or a footnote NFL career.
  3. If Brown gets an offer of $300k, he's gone. Zach is the face of the franchise, none of O'Shea, Miller or Walters is going to think it's time to move on, they may consider it after 2025, but not before.
  4. It seems half the rhetoric coming out of Edmonton is focused on stomping out any whiff of communism and the other half is changing the name back to the Eskimos, just because.
  5. It's one thing to talk about it, another to find an owner willing to step up and take on the risk. I doubt Katz the owner of the Oilers is interested.
  6. He'll probably end up playing in one of the new leagues down south, may come back up once he's done.
  7. Cody breaths fire! 😗
  8. Bighill could have subbed in for Gauthier, perfect scenario.
  9. The Bombers can no longer afford to pick off league best players as they did with Jefferson and Bighill, they are now on the other side of the ledger desperately trying to retain their own free agents.
  10. Dedrick Mills would be killer, at 5'-10" 228 lbs. he'd be much cheaper than Brady and fit in nicely. Stamps should keep him over often injured KaDeem Carey.
  11. I wouldn't be surprised if Holm gets some NFL looks, by the end of the season he was the most consistent DB and playing better than Nichols.
  12. I think his replacement will be Clements or Kyrie who should be considerably cheaper.
  13. No way especially if they want to retain Schoen, I don't think a RB has ever made $200k in the CFL.
  14. No, but O'Shea can still beat up anyone that chooses to disagree with him. "Darren, can you please shut off the camera and lock all the doors, it's donnybrook time."
  15. I wonder if that advantage is waning after striking out two years in a row, players careers are too short to accept discounts multiple times.
  16. Might not have been the wisest decision to cut Agudosi a month before the playoffs if they weren't confident his replacements were capable of stepping in when needed. The more I think about this "name on the cup issue" the more I believe O'Shea used it as a factor in determining his game time roster.
  17. Two under-the-radar players they must retain are Walker and Lawson, too much invested in their progress and no obvious replacements for their skill level currently on the roster to let them walk away.
  18. I hope the Bombers scrub their website clean of those smarmy bullshit videos with the soul stirring music and burn them in hell. If Ed Tait ever approves of **** like that again, I'm going to hunt him down like a Newfie in wild pursuit of a Harp seal!!!
  19. Might be worth going after Ante Milanovic-Litre, real FB who can run, block and catch.
  20. He chose the low percentage play, LaPo would not approve.
  21. Hopefully Zach isn't succumbing to mental deterioration from all the hits he's taken to his head over his career, like Mike Reilly who gave up a $500k job to become a fireman. Zach has looked more emotional this season and less detached than in previous years.
  22. Consider Zach's body position when releasing the ball, he's rarely firmly planted and in many cases he's off-kilter, on the run or airborne, relying on pure arm strength over good throwing technique.
  23. Who cares about Ambles, he had no time invested, BOLO is the guy who should be pissed.
  24. Yah, good enough reason for him to stay put in a secure role, young families do not travel well.
  25. They could sure use McCrae to diversify the running game if Bailey and Demski are unable to fulfill that role. Als D is going to key on Brady all game long, if Buck wants to maintain the running game, he's got to throw in a few wrinkles to offset their plan.
