Sterns earning a lot of disrespect already, he's starting over Mitchell for a reason as is Wheatfall, they've both earned the opportunity to prove their value, should probably give them a chance to demonstrate their ability.

I think he's recovered, they're giving Corcoran a chance to show he belongs, but I think they'll eventually switch places as Cobb has more versatility. -

It's a loonie idea, I'll be happy if they integrate Peterson and MCI into the offence. -

Milt admitted he wasn't the fastest player on the field at the start of the game, but by the end of the game everyone else had dropped off and he was still running the same speed. -
Missed quite a few games last season as well, he's not built to take a pounding. I guess Mathew Shiltz gets another shot with Tyrie Adams on the 1 game IR.

Think of Jake Thomas as the lead-hand at the factory with a great work ethic. He may not be the fastest or the most productive worker, but he shows up consistently everyday on time and works to the end of the day without excuse. He puts in 100% effort, does his job and doesn't goof around, he takes on overtime or any other assignment with out fuss. He's a throw-back, his work ethic is not commonly found among young people and he's a great example of hard work and perseverance. -
Anthony Coombs.

It's a joke, but what do you expect the guy to do when they bring in his replacement 3 days after he's concussed, nothing much has changed, the player says he's good to go and the HC says ok. Trainer can't see inside his head.

Goes along with the gunslinger mentality, some QB's are looking for the big play and interceptions don't bother them, BLM, Chad Kelly and Collaros just keep chucking regardless, some QB's like Matt Nichols and Trevor Harris, hate throwing interceptions and avoid taking chances.

Depends on the situation, given a full game, clawing from behind, possibly 3 interceptions thrown, 1 in garbage time.

I'd start Mitchell over Wheatfall for the first 3 or 4 games as an extension to TC so he can demonstrate he produces value for his contract, which is paying him a salary worthy of producing a 1k+ yard season. If he can't get his act together in that time, it's a quick exit out the door. In his limited time in the CFL he's shaping up to be a slow learner or an underachiever, Ed Hervey had no problem letting him walk. -
Ford was drafted in 2022, 4 games into his rookie season Chris Jones moved him ahead of Nik Arbuckle as the Elks starting QB, he's been up and down ever since, but 3 years later he still plays like a rookie.

Did he arrive on foot?

Short for pork chop.

Wasn't Rourke just coming off of a serious injury before that game? I think there was speculation he wouldn't play and Dane Evans would get the start. He couldn't do that last season, those days are over, he either sinks or swims with his vaunted arm.

I've heard this story before, **** off Elon! Keep your **** in your pants and stop impregnating strangers!

...and they still haven't brought Chungh back, it's got to be about more than just money.

Ford looks more like Tyrie Adams than a guy ready for the #1 job, he either doesn't fully understand the strategic purpose of the routes his receivers are running or can't commit to the play being called. Similar to his brother he seems to have a semi-focus on the play and over relies on his athleticism, which makes everything look like sandlot. 100% turnover in the secondary from last season might not be the way to go.

It's different, in most businesses the employee lives with their family, in professional sports the players often live far away from their family and support networks. Team full of young transient single dudes is going to behave much differently than a well established team loaded with married guys that already have kids. -

Like it or not Canadian players form the nucleus of most teams, they are the continuous thread that passes on knowledge of the game and team culture to new arrivals year after year. The good ones are hard to find, but once a team signs them they tend to hold onto them as long as possible, even if they only play ST. Americans players come and go as they're a more common commodity, most last 2-3 years before being replaced or moving on to other teams. There are exceptions like Willie, Stan and Biggie who recognize the benefit of staying in one place and take advantage of the opportunity to bond with the community, but most Imports don't ever achieve that status. O'Shea is a fan of stability, so he tends to hold onto all of his players longer than most and create a family atmosphere that actually includes families, it's difficult to view that practice as being a negative. -
