  1. Time to plan Stanley's farewell tour at the end of this season, so they can retain all the good bits for next. Neuf probably done as well, must pay Wallace enough to stay.
  2. Does Kyrie really have to play ST's? Give the old guy a break, he's fragile enough, he can perform very well in certain situations if they manage his work load.
  3. I think Lofton is going to sit when he comes back, Randolph did an excellent job at RT, he has excellent mobility for a big man.
  4. I think that boat just sailed, haven't seen an O-line that good in many years, just what they need to keep Zach safe and handle the CFL's top D-lines. Benefits the running game as well, which is the driver of the Bomber offence, with 3 strong RB's on tap they're going to march at will and be virtually unstoppable, should be well over 100 yds. every game.
  5. There's always plenty of excuses for not playing the backup QB in Wpg, they screwed up when they let Dru Brown play, he showed he was capable and became a starter elsewhere. That wasn't suppose to happen, he was scheduled to linger another year or two as a backup before being replaced by a more promising rookie.
  6. Scott Flagel??? Was good but does not stand out in my mind as one of the all time greats, is he even in the Bomber HOF?
  7. Someone on a podcast mentioned Betts had 6 DT's and 7 QB hurries in that game, so not too shabby. Good test for the OT's this game, they know he's going around the outside, see how fast can they retreat. Use MCI as a last defence guard dog.
  8. The Lions shocked the Bombers with an early season win last season and a butt kicking the year before, both games in Wpg.
  9. That just confirms they weren't well prepared. Same thing could happen this season if Strev goes down again and they don't bring in an experienced vet to replace him or prepare Wilson properly with sufficient game time. 3 times the Bombers have been in a playoff situation without a plan B QB, they dodged it once when they traded for Zach, the other 2 times they failed to respond.
  10. The biggest mistake was not having a reasonable backup QB prepared and ready to go behind Zach, still haven't heard a valid reason Dolegala was not used. No different than any other position, have to anticipate injuries will occur and be ready with next man up.
  11. Not necessarily, notice how a lot of receivers shine in pre-season playing against bewildered DB's new to the CFL, having success against experienced DB's is a whole different matter, that takes grit. We'll see if he continues to shine or fades to invisible, he has an advantage tonight as unlikely Strev ignores him as Zach might choose to do.
  12. I wouldn't panic, they have 4-6 games to sort out the roster, pending injuries. I'm sure all 4 receivers fighting for the two open spots will get a second look, who cares if they extend TC competition into the season if they can afford it, and decisions made are not written on stone tablets.
  13. It's an O'Shea team so ST count big, those extra LB's are on the roster to help Mike Miller win his running street brawl.
  14. They have the cap space to abuse the hell out of the 1 game IR this season, they can use it till real injuries crop up and the roster sorts it's self out as it usually does. Might need it later on to pay Randolph or Vanterpool and keep them off the PR once Lofton returns, if the O-line does not suffer any more injury setbacks.
  15. Sterns earning a lot of disrespect already, he's starting over Mitchell for a reason as is Wheatfall, they've both earned the opportunity to prove their value, should probably give them a chance to demonstrate their ability.
  16. I think he's recovered, they're giving Corcoran a chance to show he belongs, but I think they'll eventually switch places as Cobb has more versatility.
  17. It's a loonie idea, I'll be happy if they integrate Peterson and MCI into the offence.
  18. Milt admitted he wasn't the fastest player on the field at the start of the game, but by the end of the game everyone else had dropped off and he was still running the same speed.
  19. Missed quite a few games last season as well, he's not built to take a pounding. I guess Mathew Shiltz gets another shot with Tyrie Adams on the 1 game IR.
  20. Think of Jake Thomas as the lead-hand at the factory with a great work ethic. He may not be the fastest or the most productive worker, but he shows up consistently everyday on time and works to the end of the day without excuse. He puts in 100% effort, does his job and doesn't goof around, he takes on overtime or any other assignment with out fuss. He's a throw-back, his work ethic is not commonly found among young people and he's a great example of hard work and perseverance.
  21. It's a joke, but what do you expect the guy to do when they bring in his replacement 3 days after he's concussed, nothing much has changed, the player says he's good to go and the HC says ok. Trainer can't see inside his head.
  22. Goes along with the gunslinger mentality, some QB's are looking for the big play and interceptions don't bother them, BLM, Chad Kelly and Collaros just keep chucking regardless, some QB's like Matt Nichols and Trevor Harris, hate throwing interceptions and avoid taking chances.
  23. Depends on the situation, given a full game, clawing from behind, possibly 3 interceptions thrown, 1 in garbage time.
