  1. If you look into it, Mitchell had a sketchy history before he arrived in Edmonton, one of these players that matures quickly and dominates high school football with advanced physical skills, quite common in hockey too. Probably learned to get open without paying much attention to a playbook, he should have been Tre Ford's favourite receiver. "In his senior season, he was named Tennessee's Gatorade football player of the year after he caught 81 passes for 1,484 yards and 22 touchdowns, leading the Spartans to a 9–4 record and the Class 6A quarterfinals.[1] He also rushed for 951 yards and 20 more touchdowns on 64 carries."
  2. Speedy B agrees wit you. @speedybanks16 CFL want tre ford to be good so bad .. I just watch film n he not it .. good back up but not a franchise qb
  3. Top end for a DB is $140-150k, anything above is a huge waste of limited SMS.
  4. I've heard Mitchell doesn't play slot, dumb as a fence post if he doesn't seize whatever opportunity is given to him at this time, his job is on the line.
  5. Thought the Jets were named in reference to the RCAF base in St. James?
  6. My all-time favourite Rider, Tommy Stevens.
  7. How quickly you forget, Walters spent every penny he had to retain Lawler, Schoen and Brady in 2024, that's the main reason they lost 6 contributing veterans, including Grant and Jeffcoat. Losing clubs sign FA's to get to the top, winning clubs re-sign their own players to remain on top.
  8. I think it would have been around 48 yds. which was beyond White's longest FG of the season at 43 yds. He likely would have made it, so I don't know why Buck gambled on getting another play off. Playing with micro-seconds in football is so inexact, I hope teams don't start pushing that envelope.
  9. Early last season the Als were fighting to have him re-instated, so they might want him back.
  10. The worst thing about BLM's performance is it could tweak Zach's competitive nature, he might damn the torpedoes and attempt to bomb Berlin. Headline: "Collaros throws 7 TD's and 7 interceptions, Bombers lose by 23."
  11. Those bust were caused by communication breakdowns.
  12. BA is still hanging around, at least he kept them in line and on focus.
  13. They've had some good mid-season corrections that have paid off, BA to Safety, Travis Bond to OG, Nichols in for Willy.
  14. When Bryant came out was that Vanderpoo or Randolph in his spot?
  15. Maybe, I'd prefer to find out mid-season where they're lacking while there's still time to adjust, rather than late season and be shocked how poorly they play against competitive teams. It's easy to beat up on the weak teams, but if they can't beat the top teams during the regular season it's unlikely they'll beat them in the playoffs. When was the last time Zach mounted a comeback from 2 TD's down?
  16. 7 out of 8 games coming up will be challenging, Stamps (2) Argos (2) and Als (1) leading into back to back with the Riders and the LDC, good chance all starting QB's will be back for those games. How they perform in that stretch will define their season and whether they still have the ability to compete with the top teams, or if they've officially been dethroned as King of the Hill.
  17. Changing my pick to Wheatfall.
  18. Have you seen any promotion of the Stampede Bowl?
  19. Must be doing something right, surpassed Schmeck's 2 years of experience within a few weeks and now Jake's come down with a case of the nervous sweats.
  20. Depends what the viewer numbers are, if they can increase the viewers of broadcast and streaming services, they could potentially make more revenue through other venues. Somehow league revenues have gone up, when game attendance appears to have fallen off a cliff.
  21. Rigmaiden has been with BC since the start of 2021 in various roles, he's as responsible for player personnel as much as anyone in the Lions organization. Adding the GM role provides him the ability to choose his coaching staff.
  22. Ouelette won the game for them, Maier rode on his back.
  23. Maier's not much better, thought maybe there was some hope of him becoming a starter, but clearly not. Throws a decent ball when planted but goes into all out panic in scramble mode and loses track of his receivers.
  24. With Rigmaiden as GM I wouldn't expect the Lions to make a rash decision on Buck, pretty rare for a HC to exceed expectations in his first year. There wasn't much of a case for firing Campbell IMO, he had them performing at a high level, with only the Bombers being consistently better in the West the last few seasons.
