  1. Well of course, you're a purging agent, cast a damn spell.
  2. I thought both passes he threw into the E.Z. were catchable as they hit the receivers right in the hands, although with defenders in their face it's not hard to understand why they failed to squeeze them.
  3. This site has gone loony lately, it could use a good cleansing.
  4. Hard to say, this year should be the determining factor with the amount of playing time he's receiving, this is it, he either grabs the bull and rides it now or he doesn't. Even if he doesn't remain a starter I think he's shown enough that he should be able to hang around the league for 3 or 4 more years as a competent backup in various outposts.
  5. It would be good for the league if Hervey could sign him and reunite him with Reilly, they could certainly use his talent in BC.
  6. I don't think the CFLPA would ever go for that, from my understanding a lot of players are so beaten up after games they can barely move the next day.
  7. That last RB drive was a thing of beauty, if Davis ever gets a firm grip on the mental side of the QB position and is provided good protection look out, he is the most naturally athletic QB currently playing in the CFL IMO. Kind of funny, while the rest of the league was fighting over Franklin, the Bombers were busy kicking Davis out the back door of their shack.
  8. Good idea, they probably will do something like that. Wasn't it BC who gave a free ticket for every one purchased after wrongly predicting a Lion win a couple years ago?
  9. This probably indicates that the players do not like the scenario of delaying games or the CFL is focusing on the bottom line cost of these delays.
  10. You need to look at the strategy LaPo employs, Nichols throws the check down because it's a given gain, the objective is to avoid the 2nd and 10 situations which often lead to two and outs, stalling drives short of Medlock's range. They can't run Harris on every down, so better to pick up 5 yds. on 1st down than taking the greater risk of throwing an incomplete pass and facing 2nd and 10 with the D anticipating the 10 yd. pass. If the primary receiver is open great, but it's not always the case. Give credit where it's due, it may be a boring conservative strategy but it does move the ball effectively and consistently which produces a majority of wins, even if some fans don't like it. I don't think Nichols gives a rat's ass about his stats. and LaPo is not in the entertainment business, he prefers to count body blows which wear down the opponent rather than throwing hay-makers attempting to knock them out cold.
  11. None of us know the exact reasons the league made the rule but they probably had logical reasons for doing so. Once a rule is made, it has to be followed, end of story.
  12. Wow, JSK still sitting on the 6 game, I didn't realize his injury was that serious.
  13. Now that's funny!
  14. Have you conveniently forgotten what happened to Nichols the last time he misplayed his slide?
  15. Here is a complete stats. run down, which proves winning this game was not a fluke. Nichols 81.% pass completion - Arbuckle 62.9% Harris 100 yards rushing -Williams 21 yards Medlock 4 for 4 on field goals - Paredes 1 for 1 Winnipeg 7 for 222 yard on punt returns (two for TDs) - Calgary 4 for 22 yards Winnipeg 4 for 84 yards on kick returns - Calgary 3 for 68 yards Winnipeg 33.41 mins. possession time - Calgary 26.59 mins. Winnipeg 2 interceptions - Calgary 0 Winnipeg 103.79 QB efficiency - Calgary 62.9 Winnipeg 26 - Calgary 24
  16. H.H. to Desjarlais, replaced Spooner and did well handling a frustrated Cordarro Law.
  17. ...and when it works, like it did, it is a brilliant strategy to close out the game.
  18. I thought the league made the decision when they changed the rules that if the play was on the other side of the field and had no impact on the play they were not going to call it. Utter bullshit.
  19. Substitute Flanders a real R.B., for Demski and the play works brilliantly. There was a trade-off when they made that switch, but since they aren't making much use of Demski's receiving ability, the payoff has not been fully realized.
  20. T.O.P. Bombers 33:41, Stamps 26:19, despite two S.T. TD's that kept the Bomber offence off the field in the first half. If Nichols couldn't move the ball, how do you explain that differential?
  21. This game showed that the team has grit, glory hallelujah. They defeated Calgary and it wasn't won on luck.
  22. Classic Bomber team win, whether it's Medlock kicking 5 FG's, the D causing multiple turnovers, ST returns, or Harris carrying the O on his back, it's all good for the W.
  23. Your full explanation is welcome, if you have one.
