  1. Sounds about as respectable as the Bronfman clan.
  2. Something is up with that, the only backup DE is Hansen, you would think Jeffcoat especially would require heavy rotation to get back into game shape. I can't see them using their 3 DT set specifically more against the Als unless they're experimenting with something.
  3. I doubt he's injured, he's backup depth and wants to be paid for it, he probably said "no thanks" to the PR, hopefully he can get some game action soon.
  4. Have to worry about Brady's health long-term, can't smash and bash like a wrecking ball and not expect a few pieces to fall off. A.H. does his best to slip or deflect direct contact, were Brady takes it head on, much like Jesse Lumsden his playing style may shorten his career.
  5. That "T.O. mentality" seems to be spreading across Canada, there are even signs of it in Sask. now.
  6. Mo Leggett, Ian Wild, Taylor Loffler, Chris Randle, there are a few guys that paid their dues in blue and gold that just missed the boat.
  7. He's Darren Flutie level, I'll be happy as hell if he stays in the CFL and doesn't bugger off to the NFL in 2 years.
  8. Yep, Wally liked to rotate his RB's, Harris had to share reps. with Stefan Logan for a few years. I think one part of the agreement in coming to Wpg. was A.H. got a say in how much he played, and he wanted to play every down.
  9. Yah, I wasn't disparaging Lofton, I was just pointing out his history. If they brought him in, maybe they liked what they saw or maybe he's just a convenient gap filler on the PR who has no future.
  10. It looks like Lofton has been kicking around the CFL since 2017 between the RB's and the Elks but he's only played in a handful of games and has never been a starter.
  11. I've always thought that was the answer to the Argos problems, move them to the suburbs where the 40-70 age group live, they're burned out on big city life and avoid going downtown if they can help it. Plus that's the group watching CFL games on TV.
  12. If you go to a game in T.O., you certainly shouldn't drag a car along with you, take public transit, it works great and is a lot cheaper and easier.
  13. I'm looking for a specific solution that can be cobbled together from players currently on the roster, because there's always the chance Bryant or any other player could go down hard tomorrow. Expecting to pick up a competent LT mid-season or pluck one off another CFL team is pie-in-the-sky-techno-colour-Rideresque dreaming. Offhand I would slide Grey to LT and move Kolankowski or Lofton in as his replacement. On the PR they 4 OL, plus Drew Richmond on the 6 game who may be the heir apparent as they keep trying to get a look at him at LT. Anyone know anything about these guys? Eric Lofton (A) Tomoya Machino (G) Ryan Nelson (A) Tyler Witt (A)
  14. Great plan!!!.....you're fired.
  15. Hypothetically, Bryant goes down for 6 games, how do they handle that assuming Couture is back in at Center?
  16. Lawler may not have been recruited by the Bombers but they did give him 2 years to develop and grow, I think that qualifies in the "it doesn't really matter" category.
  17. That was the 2007 Grey Cup, I expected they'd lose that one.
  18. In the end I think Mike just became disgruntled with his hat collection and decided he wanted to be a fireman instead.
  19. Re-watch the 2011 Grey Cup loss against the Lions, that games provides solid evidence that Buck as a QB couldn't think his way out of a wet paper bag. The most frustrating football game I have ever watched.
  20. In the last 2 big games Zach has played like someone put a bee in his bonnet, confirming why he is the CFL's highest paid player and the MOP. As opposed to Reilly who faded and fizzled his last 2 years in BC, Zach is turning up the heat.
  21. He's done far more than bounce back, I believe he's currently playing better than he has at anytime during his CFL career.
  22. Well Ouija is sometimes wrong, Franklin's quick demise was as surprising as Zach's immaculate resurgence.
  23. Good idea, they need to determine who Stanley's permanent replacement will be before the end of this year IMO. They can't wait for his retirement announcement in the off-season to take them off-guard.
