  1. If this does happen, I like it. It shows that Walters understands that you need some veterans in the mix during a rebuild. You can't put a bunch of 24 year olds out there and expect much of anything.
  2. I'm getting kind of tired of these Bomber greats retiring without a Cup. The phrase "Would have been nice if we could have won one for..." is something I'm entirely sick of hearing.
  3. where is Bryant Turner ? Fire Island for sensitivity training
  4. I sort of expected it. I didn't really see him as part of the rebuild, but I also didn't see him playing anywhere else. Good for Terence to retire before he was completely washed up and while he still has his health.
  5. I agree re: inside o-line. It's scary. Sadly, the only way it's going to get better in the forseeable future is a prospect stepping up. Guys who can anchor an o-line just don't make it to free agency frequently enough to bank on that route. They could go for a trade, but the price is going to be high. It'll be a great day when we can stop fretting over the o-line.
  6. Have to agree with this. However, there have been signs that this team has a different attitude under Maurice. You mentioned adversity and how they respond to it. If you look things at a game by game basis, they have been markedly better after giving up goals under Maurice than Noel. Little things like that give me hope. Plus, I like that it hasn't been 10-11 straight wins or something. They've had a couple of losses that they needed to rebound from already and they've do so succesfully. The olympic break will be huge. Will it kill momentum or be a much needed rest? It'll be nice to have Kane back 100% after the break (hopefully) and coming from the NCAA where they play a pretty short season, Jacob Trouba could probably use some time to rest and recharge.
  7. I get the feeling the the list of truly willing candidates was pretty weak.
  8. I thought the Jays were putting in natural grass and a permanent infield, making football impossible in SkyDome. Unless they want this sort of BS
  9. also, if this was those smelly creeps to the west increasing season ticket sales after an historically bad season, TSN would be kissing their fans' asses.
  10. not totally surprised. I personally know of at least 6 first time season ticket holders.
  11. Agreed. Sucks to lose the best ref, but if he can bring greater consitancy to CFL officiating, it's worth it.
  12. What was wrong with Dunn? For a rookie he seemed to play pretty well. Stewart is a guy that I wouldn't write off yet either, I'd say he gets a chance to rebound cause he is that guy with good size that everyone around here seems to be screaming to find. Mainor I wouldn't call a starter either, he's a depth guy and has been for pretty much his whole career here.Stewart really disappointed me last year, I wouldn't be upset if we bring back Stewart, but I certainly wouldn't be upset if we let him walk eitherI couldn't care less if mainor is brought back or not. The guy gets more production as a part timer than he does full time. I'd rather find some new ends Stewart I think you give an opportunity to bounce back. Yeah you bring in competition but I am a proponent of giving guys who had a disappointing year the chance to rebound. Especially after a year where 3/4 of the team checked out mentally after week 7. Let's see what those guys can do with a fresh perspective. If they continue to suck this year, it sounds like the new regime will be more than willing to show them the door.
  13. **** it, book the performing dogs.
