The Winnipeg Blue Bombers landed a little more CFL experience today.
General manager Kyle Walters swung a deal with the Hamilton Tiger-Cats, acquiring linebacker Abraham Kromah for future considerations.
The Bombers were interested in Kromah in free agency this year, but he ended up leaving the Saskatchewan Roughriders for the Tabbies. He became expendable when Simoni Lawrence returned from the NFL.
Kromah, who can play both the weak-side and middle linebacker positions, is a 6-foot, 227-pound native of Staten Island, N.Y., and was leading the Saskatchewan Roughriders in tackles when he broke his right leg in an August 2012 game.
The Duke product returned for the season finale that year but didn’t play during the entire 2013 season after the Riders signed Rey Williams.
