Remember Gord Hinse can start practicing next week and come off the 6 game IR in a little over 2 weeks.

@PentonKirk: RT @Dave_CHED: Looks like OL Justin Sorensen has been recalled from 6-game injured list. He practiced today and listed on the 46. #Eskimos Hope he plays on Thursday! lol
-
@DarrinBauming: Mike O'Shea says Aaron Kelly needed to see a doctor. Missed practice today, but was on the field. Status for Thursday yet TBD. #Bombers @BobIrvingCJOB: Mike O'Shea says Aaron Kelley is having knee further examined--not sure of his status for Edmonton game. Romby Bryant would replace him

I could be wrong, but I don't actually think this could happen. Like ... I don't think the results could end up in a situation where this would even be a question. All 5 teams in the West finish with better records than teams 2, 3 and 4 in the East? I'm not sure either, just asking.

Can 2 teams crossover or just one?
-
Ticats will be lucky to win 3 games this year.

Looks good on arrogant Austin though.

A little better than Bauming's phrasing:"Aaron Kelly is MIA from #Bombers practice today. Romby Bryant taking first team reps at Kelly's boundary WR spot." Can we stop using "MIA" when someone isn't practicing? Makes it sound like the player has zero excuse and has left the team or something. MIA means "missing in action". I see nothing wrong with that. If he said Kelly is AWOL, that would be inappropriate. We know what MIA means, but he's not Missing. He's not on the practice field. I guess it comes down to how you interpret MIA. When I first saw Bauming's tweet, I figured Kelly was getting treatment. Others I guess assume he walked out on the team or was cut.

Wonder where on the depth chart Donavon Kemp is... He's on the practice roster.

@Dave_CHED: No J.C. Sherritt again at practice today. #Eskimos #CFL #yeg

Nate said that Nick Moore was out 8-10 weeks with his back injury. Moore never missed a game.

Comparative analysis - How bad is the Bombers OL?
gbill2004 replied to gbill2004's topic in Blue Bomber Discussion
The comparison of the 2013 league average of 2.8 as a baseline, and the Bombers 3.3 this season suggests we're still around league average, while considering that 3 games is a small sample size. -
@Ticats: The following players have been released: RB Tavoy Moore RB Isi Sofele DT Myles Wade OT D.J. Young
-
Can only carry 3 import RBs on the roster for so long. Not really surprising.
-
@PentonKirk: #CFL source says the #Bombers have just cut RB Will Ford.

Comparative analysis - How bad is the Bombers OL?
gbill2004 replied to gbill2004's topic in Blue Bomber Discussion
Yes obviously there's more to it than just sacks given up when evaluating an OL, but this gives a pretty good indication of a teams ability to protect the QB. And obviously a QB with a quick release and a mobile QB will make an OL look better too.The Bombers OL gets a lot of bad press, when in reality it's middle of the pack...other teams give up sacks too. Very true. One of our members, TBieber, has taken to timing the seconds from snap to QB release during some games this year. I wonder if he'd have the results saved to share here. Those would be very interesting numbers to see, if available. -

Comparative analysis - How bad is the Bombers OL?

I did a comparative analysis to see just how bad the Bomber OL is compared to other CFL OL's. Here is what I found: The Bombers have given up 10 sacks this year for an average of 3.3 per game. Last year in 2013, the league average of sacks given up per team, per game was 2.78, putting the Bombers slightly above average this year, with a small sample size of only 3 games played so far. The best team in 2013 was Calgary with only 36 sacks given up (average of 2 per game), and Hamilton was the worst with 67 sacks given up (3.7 per game). Bombers gave up 51 sacks (average of 2.8 per game). Winnipeg was exactly league average in 2013. Here's the full data per team, of sacks given up over the 2013 season: 1. Calgary: 36 2. Montreal: 41 3. BC: 47 3. Saskatchewan: 47 5. Winnipeg: 51 6. Toronto: 52 7. Edmonton: 60 8. Hamilton: 67 -

Looks like he deleted the tweet.

O'Shea said same lineup so that means no Aaron Woods. I'm disappointed by that decision too.
