  1. When that happens, I've always heard in these type scenarios that management decided well before the game and the game outcome (W or L) had no bearing on the decision to let him go.
  2. I think Zach Collaros is going to have to have a tough discussion with himself and those close to him in whether he continues to play. He might want to have a chat with Matt Dunnigan and his family. Not an easy decision when you're competitor and enjoy playing the game.
  3. awwww, that's unfortunate. Too bad McJesus couldn't play football as well.
  4. The other side of the coin is if Maas sits his starters it's a big eff u to them and even a bigger eff u to his starters if he wins with the back ups. He actually would be taking less of a risk by starting his back ups because if he loses today to our predominately 2nd team there will be a bus ticket waiting for him at the end of the game.
  5. I like Sutton and the way he plays, he's a gamer but I'll take Harris everytime.
  6. Hmmm I'm not as positive but he did look good on Lowry's line so there's that.
  7. So do the Eskimos. Awwww.
  8. Hughson doesn't mention Jets played the night before in Detroit until the final two minutes of the game. If Toronto had be coming off a game the night before they would have mentioned it 7,367 times during the game including the pre game. Laine looks 1 step behind right now and we all know he is very hard on himself. This is where Wheeler is extremely important for him to help on the mental side. For the first two and half periods we looked really good. Still early in the season to put that all together.
  9. Actually I was not impressed with MP tonight. Lost ALOT of puck battles.
  10. Trouba plays well when he plays with an edge. When Khadri hit him from behind his play elevated. Someone needs to p*ss him off right before each game. Just saw his first period intermission interview where he says they are playing in a filthy game. Here's hoping more filthy games for him.
  11. Dinged up apparently.
  12. I personally don't think he's trash. I think he's very inconsistent which has to be very frustrating for Hamilton.
  13. Nope let's ensure TSN has a heading tomorrow 'Cancel the parade'
  14. I'm starting to warm to our new back up goaltender
  15. You're not going to get much sympathy on this board. We've been jobbed many of times before as well. It's just evening itself out now.
  16. And at the start of the game MOS throwing out the f bomb every second word. Cuthburt and Suitor seemed stunned. You could tell he was zoned in for the game. I think they turned his Mike down after that
  17. For the most part I can handle the fans, it's more certain media supporters that are very hard to stomach. One of the first headings I see after this game was something to the effect of how the Leafs have now proven they are Stanley Cup Contenders. Whether that's a backhanded compliment to our Jets because the Leafs beat another Stanley Cup contender in ourselves and/or whether in fact they are legitimately a cup contender, it's how they report on the Leafs that makes me frustrated and want them to go 0-82. To check my hypocrisies, I'm sure some Winnipeg Jet Media supporters do the same thing but doesn't make it anymore bearable considering they receive more national attention then the Jets.
  18. Knowing it's not answering your question but If Nichols wasn't available for what ever reason I'd take Masoli. Watching him for sometime now he's grown on me.
  19. Beauty pass by Connor on Trouba's OT winner.
  20. Raanta didn't play for the Rangers last season. He played for Coyotes.
  21. Yup not in our DNA regardless of situation.
  22. Too many people gave up on Lulay way too premature. Yes he has health issues but I've always respected his play. His football IQ is extremely high, too bad it was never used in a Blue and Gold uniform.
  23. I had this thought that it would be interesting to put two scores side by side after each game played. The actual score and the score if each team were successful on all their registered scoring chances.
  24. Why would you assume that?
  25. Unlike what's going on here :), this specific game was rare in there were no real skirmishes or big hits to be seen other than Ferland briefly pushing a jet from behind and a Morrisey hip check along the boards. Other than that a very clean game with little violence. Just a random observation of no value other than the game can be entertaining with only speed and skill.
