This sort of win is intoxicating, and not to take anything away from a very good effort by the Big Blue, but the whole Eskie team looked discombobulated. Anyways...onwards.

Williams looked to be in significant distress, and as many here have been predicting, the pounding Reilly has been taking for years looks to be catching up to him and he is not bouncing back up on his feet any more. He is not getting any younger but I think he will be back next week due to better living through chemistry.

Both Wolitarski and Petermann have not only caught passes when they had to, they have punished the d-backs who try to tackle them. Now, if we only had one dominant import receiver of Duke Williams or Roosevelt caliber...

This was the game the Bomber faithful have been waiting for and may be the spark needed to propel the team into the playoffs. The Bombers dominated from start to finish. Nichols was not spectacular, but got the job done. Peterman and Wolitarski were major contributors, LaPolice finally used Harris to grind out the clock, and surprise! we did not get out-coached at half-time. Santos-Knox, Roh, Sayles and Loffler were superb. The D-line harassed Reilly all games and when he came out after half-time, he was walking like an old man. The Bomber O-line tightened up when they had to despite giving up a couple of sacks. The Esks are going to be a long time recovering from this beating.

The Bombers need to find out which Stamp bird-dog has found all these people, kidnap and drug him. Then pose him in compromising positions with farm animals and use the photos to blackmail him into working for the Bombers.
-
Considering how long we suffered with Hurl, Kuale and screwed-up Willy, I would not expect O'Shea to start doing this sort of thing now.
-
Bombers cannot, repeat, cannot let the Esks build any sizeable (more than 10 points) lead or let the Esk ground game get untracked. If this happens, we will be boned no matter how much time is left on the clock. This team has not shown the ability to fight back from a deficit as in previous years when the games were often won in the last quarter.

So can we start talking about firing MOS yet?

Using your approach, then you could say that the Bombers are undefeated. Skids extend beyond one game and do not, in my view, end with just one (questionable) victory. -

And the Bombers are doing so well. -

One game is not a streak. We are 1 and 4 in our last 5 games (as if I had to tell you). That is a trend and our one win came against a pathetic Alouette team. -
Isn't it illegal to do that in public?

You may well be right, but if the current losing skid continues with lop-sided loss to the Esks and there are no consequences to the coaches, that would send a bad message to the players and fans alike. -
TEAM NOTES - WINNIPEG @ EDMONTON GAME #69
Tracker replied to Mr Dee's topic in Blue Bomber Discussion
Soooo...you're saying they're boned? -
That was an interesting revelation. June Jones said that he made the decision because he did not have confidence in his kicker, but in my read was that he also blamed himself for that decision.

Do you really think that the team could rebound emotionally from another blowout? There has to be a limit as to how many losses of game they ought to have won before the confidence of the players in themselves and the coaches is shattered. There were high expectations of the team at the beginning of the season that have not been met and that has to make things worse. -

Bombers win and O'Shea gets a stay of execution. Bombers lose, and the noose gets tighter. Bombers get blown out and O'Shea gets to take the long walk down the hallway. -
This game may be our last time to hope that the team will get its poop together. If the Bombers lose, we're into next year country.

Expecting candor from O'Shea is like expecting milk from a grape.

Green has little tread on his tires, Bethel-Thompson is a place holder, but Wilder is worth chasing, although he is an import.

Demski looks to be a no-go and and Washington sat out last game.

Kavanaugh was asked point-blank if he would support a full FBI investigation into the allegations against him, including the motivations of his accusers and he would not give a direct answer.
-
There are a lot of pieces at play here. Trump has fully invested himself in Kavanaugh's appointment and, given Trump's abysmal history of having his appointees spectacularly imploding, his ego cannot take yet another disaster wherein his judgement is proven faulty. Moreover, the GOP is still trying to do damage control over the Russia investigation and failing at that as well. Mueller is edging ever closer to proving that Trump has been laundering money for the Russian mob for nearly 20 years. Plus, if Kavanaugh fails at the appointment with three for certain and possibly a fourth woman alleging sexual misconduct on his part, he tenure are a judge will come under examination and trigger a full FBI investigation, so who knows what that will dredge up?

Wait. Did you just assume Frosty's gender? -
One of the most interesting things that was quickly skipped over was when the female attorney hired by the GOP to grill Ford touched on a note in Kavanaugh's calendar dated July 1st. That date and the notation appeared to line up with the events reported by Ford and named Judge as present. As soon as Mitchell pointed out that date and was apparently going to ask Kavanaugh about it, the Republican members of the committee called a halt and fired Mitchell. Hm.....
