  1. Well, he does portray a cop, so missing a shooting would be a no-no.
  2. Selleck has been stricken with a severe case of osteoarthritis and has very limited mobility as a result. If he is given a two year guaranteed contract, he's got financial security.
  3. Trump has always seen women as either decorations or receptacles. He doesn't know how to deal with intelligent, critical women. Or men for that matter.
  4. REALITY BITES: Trump Sabotages His Own Coronavirus ‘Mission Accomplished’ Moment The president had a banner proclaiming “AMERICA leads the world in testing” and a message of strength to deliver. But it all crumbled when he stormed out of his briefing. Kevin Lamarque/Reuters It had all the trappings of a “Mission Accomplished” moment: the banner, the presidential pomp, and a message that wasn’t true. But what President Donald Trump wanted Monday to be a show of strength over his administration’s coronavirus testing push, complete with a banner touting “AMERICA leads the world in testing,” ended under tough questioning by reporters, causing the president to storm off abruptly. https://www.thedailybeast.com/trump-sabotages-his-own-coronavirus-mission-accomplished-moment?ref=home
  5. Trump Refuses to Explain ‘Obamagate’: ‘You Know What the Crime Is!’ Justin Baragona Published May. 11, 2020 5:42PM ET Confronted on his Mother’s Day tweets in which he accused former President Barack Obama of committing the “biggest political crime in American history,” President Donald Trump refused to explain what the actual crime was. “Obamagate,” Trump exclaimed Monday afternoon when asked by Washington Post reporter Philip Rucker to provide an explanation. “It’s been going on for a long time!” After Trump offered no specifics, Rucker again asked him what is the exact crime he is accusing his predecessor of. “You know what the crime is. The crime is very obvious to everybody, all you have to do is read the newspapers, except yours.” https://www.thedailybeast.com/trump-refuses-to-explain-obamagate-tells-reporter-you-know-what-the-crime-is
  6. Federal prosecutor who resigned in protest pens a blistering denunciation of Bill Barr’s DOJ Written by Alex Henderson May 11, 2020 When Attorney General Bill Barr intervened in the criminal case against long-time Trump ally Roger Stone in February, Jonathan Kravis was so appalled that he resigned from the U.S. Department of Justice — where he had spent a decade as a federal prosecutor. And now, Kravis is appalled by developments in another criminal case involving a Trump ally: former National Security Adviser Michael Flynn. On Thursday, May 7, the DOJ moved to drop the case against Flynn — who had pled guilty to lying to the FBI about his communications with former Russian Ambassador Sergey Kislyak in December 2016. Kravis explains why he finds this development so troubling in an op-ed for the Washington Post. https://www.alternet.org/2020/05/ex-roger-stone-prosecutor-slams-doj-for-flynn-dismissal/
  7. I would prefer they use dry cleaning bags.
  8. I see it as precarious. If the Supreme Court, which is stacked with alt-right judges rules in favour of this proposition (and it just might), this essentially annuls the US constitution. Trump could order the imprisonment or even execution of any and all opposition and rule by fiat, free of all restraint. He could cancel elections, dismiss the Congress and Senate and become a tyrant.
  9. Trump to claim ‘absolute immunity’ from subpoenas in Supreme Court appeal: ‘It would literally put the president above the law’ Written by Alex Henderson May 11, 2020 1.3K From Democrat-led committees in the U.S. House of Representatives to New York State Attorney General Letitia James and Manhattan District Attorney Cyrus Vance, President Donald Trump has been the subject of countless investigations. But this week, ABC News’ Devin Dwyer reports, attorneys for the president are asking the U.S. Supreme Court to give him immunity from investigations by Congress or local prosecutors into his activities as a private citizen. This week, Dwyer notes, justices for the High Court will “explore Trump’s claim that he cannot be subjected to subpoenas or any criminal investigative process, by virtue of the demands of the presidency.” https://www.alternet.org/2020/05/president-trump-to-claim-absolute-immunity-from-subpoenas-in-supreme-court-appeal-it-would-literally-put-the-president-above-the-law/
  10. Just watch. Reports indicate that Trump is realizing that he is in big trouble on many fronts (and none of it his fault, of course). This means that he will swing from increasingly ugly attacks on Obama, the CDC, China and anyone else he might think of, and wallowing in self-pity as victim.
  11. With the US reporting 3000 new deaths from covid19 daily, they are poised to hit 80,000 deaths today. Wonder what the Cheeto-in-chief will find in that to brag about.
  12. Is Trump going virus-truther? Of course — keeping the numbers down is all he's ever cared about https://www.salon.com/2020/05/11/is-trump-going-virus-truther-of-course--keeping-the-numbers-down-is-all-hes-ever-cared-about/ On Sunday Trump spent the entire day tweeting and retweeting like a lunatic, much of the time about the leftovers of the Russia investigation, including the Michael Flynn case and numerous threats that Obama himself was in the crosshairs of the "investigation of the investigation," which Trump excitedly started calling "OBAMAGATE." Apparently he finally heard about that phone call.
  13. Ex-DOJ Official: Barr Twisted My Words to Help Dismiss Flynn Case SET THE RECORD STRAIGHT Jamie Ross Reporter Published May. 11, 2020 6:12AM ET Mary McCord, former acting assistant attorney general for national security, has accused Attorney General Bill Barr of twisting her words to help dismiss the case against former national security adviser Michael Flynn. In a skewering op-ed for The New York Times, McCord takes issue with her repeated namecheck in the Justice Department's motion to dismiss the criminal charges against Flynn, who pleaded guilty to lying to the FBI about his contacts with Russia’s ambassador to the United States. https://www.thedailybeast.com/mary-mccord-says-attorney-general-william-barr-twisted-her-words-to-help-dismiss-michael-flynn-case?ref=home

  15. You are setting the bar very low.
  16. Winston Churchill said "Democracy is the worst of all possible systems of government, except for all the other systems". There is no perfect system, but the US system is way less perfect than our parliamentary system.
  17. The electronic voting machines are also easily hacked, and there is evidence that they were, particularly in Florida when Bush Jr. won the state.
  18. That sentiment was chillingly expressed by William Barr on Friday. When asked how his actions would be viewed in retrospect, his answer was, "History is written by the victors:".
  19. Despite him not being a star player, he was earning at least the league minimum- what $660K per annum? If he was wise with his money, he ought to have a golden parachute and he screwed himself out of a job which was really playing a game which he loved, so no tears from me.
  20. And yet Sargent Sundae on Portage has been open and busy for two weeks.
  21.
