  1. Kind of what I expected actually. Get cancers like Walker and Wilder out of the line up and thing actually improved a bit for Edmonton.
  2. Larks lost to a Sask offence that barely got out of its own way… and even then watching the Montreal D was like watching a Roc Carmicheal and Jeff Hecht greatest whiffs compilation. Last home game of the season and almost all our starters fresh and motivated after a bye…. Alouettes about to experience boss level infinity kind of pain
  3. Jamie Nye on cfl.ca doing his best to rationalize how Montreal can run against the Bombers, conveniently forgetting Stove. He then goes about commending Trevor Harris for still losing to Sask… but that’s ok because no one wants to talk about how he sucked eggs the last time he was at IGF… - whoops saw this on the other thread, apologies for the redundant post -
  4. Exactly… sorry not sorry but fair catch is stone cold stupid for the CFL
  5. Agreed. Coming off a bye week I think all the starters play, especially at IGF. Ideally it would be hammer down and then the depth handles the 4th quarter. Gotta stay sharp, and keep feeding off all the momentum gained throughout the season.
  6. Nope. 2nd generation Chinese, lazily agnostic and damned proud of both
  7. Edmonton still had a chance at making the playoffs when they played the Bombers. First two games Harris was still officially the franchise qb and they had something to play for. Bombers broke them repeatedly and now the Ticats are basically playing RedBlacks ‘berta edition Don’t sweat it!
  8. That was Hardrick showing some good giddy-up. Seems to me he’ll be juuust fine after they bye week!
  9. I like to view myself as inhabiting the absolute outermost trailing edge of hardcore fandom… as such your statement has not offended me… 😏
  10. What a crummy fate. Poor guy will have to keep himself busy making super charismatic commercials and adding to his ridiculous fortune that way -sigh-
  11. @cgystampeders I’ll see your Tre Roberson and raise w/ a Winston Rose…
  12. He’s more than welcome to flex his way right out of the CFL
  13. If we’re gonna play what-if… what if BA makes his interception, what if one of our other db’s (can’t remember who it was) also makes what would have been a sure pick 6… some would then go on to say “if not for our interceptions… etc etc”
  14. Ah, in regards to being a “pure runner” as mentioned previously, what are the criteria? If we’re adding shiftiness, running through contact etc, then totally I would take Reid off that list (respectfully of course).
  15. Should the Bombers have a better pk? Absolutely. Did Mourtada earn one more shot (in front of a home crowd no less)… I’m ok with that. I also fully believe Walters is burning up the phone lines trying to secure a kicker.
  16. Looking back I’d have to say Fred Reid comes to mind as a phenomenal runner. So many times when he got to the second level he flat out made defences look terrible with his speed. I think Oliveira has improved a lot from his early games where it looked like often ran straight into the pile as fast and hard as possible. He showed patience and an element of craftiness that made his power running even harder to stop.
  17. Yes! The other Muamba was the most consistent safety I’ve ever seen. How he never ever failed to be three steps too late was f***ing mindblowing.
  18. Darvin had a real down game when it came to catching the ball. Easy to see he wasn’t happy with himself at all. Hopefully an off night and not a trend.
  19. Trevor Harris has always been Mr.June & July… Season starting in August was automatic write off for that guy
  20. Blue wave cresting high Elk flex is so, so stupid Biggie gets last laugh
  21. As Booch said, Elks putting in Sir Vincent Rogers could hurt them more. Guy hasn’t played in almost three years. Would skip the fry pan straight into the fire that is the Bomber’s d-line
  22. Suitor was especially insufferable, with it being a Bomber home game. Suitor: ”Cody Fajardo could have a great game today, because his neighbour’s dog only peed on his lawn twice last week etc etc etc” Neilsen: ”Richie Hall has had his defence dialled in all season!” Also Suitor: ”yeah they’re ok, I guess”
  23. Stuck in Jason Kenney land, but thank you
  24. Ugh TSN is 90% all talk about Sask 🤮
  25. Late to the party but I’ll also add just how much I enjoyed the game and resultant Bomber victory yesterday. Sure it’s irksome but we’re talking about a Rider home game on Labour Day weekend, so the (literal) mouth-frothing green mob always takes centre stage, and the broadcast follows suit(or). Dominant D, the effective O, and mainly-meh-but-not-ultimately-costly special teams play totally outmatched Sask. Pretenders got thrashed in their own barn and it was ******* glorious. Bombers players knew how much it cut deep. Outside of beating them in the playoffs, I can’t remember so thoroughly revelling in green tears and handwringing. I was screaming at the TV “ARE YOU NOT ENTERTAINED?!!” as rider fans poured out with a minute left. The looks my wife gave me you’d think I was a vampire rolling around in a tub of green blood. Anyways can’t wait for next Saturday. Carry on!
