BC and Calgary battling for best of the rest is very fair. Bombers walloped BC, on the road and on a short week. Then they went on to win two exciting and heavily contested matches vs Calgary where the Stamps had a bye week in between. Can Calgary’s D contain the BC offense? Can Calgary’s O be aggressive and effective after a stagnant performance against Ottawa? Also looking forward to that game.

Al’s offence under Harris didn’t do anything last game. Davis may get a couple plays in but the turnovers and getting his receivers killed is the usual outcome.

The Bombers have found every which way to win as the reigning back to back champions and I’m enjoying the hell out of it. 2019 - lose your starting qb, blow some massive leads in the reg season, lose your back up qb - oh wait he came back wrapped in duct tape, pull ZC8 off the proverbial scrap heap and just f*cking win 2021 - blow away everyone and play one of the most stressful scary awesome championship games I’ve seen. 2022 - amidst major roster changes, bring on the doubters, the haters, every team gunning for the champs (again) We’ll take the standings, the opposition, the predictions, the power rankings and crush it all.

For added context I wrote off just about anything to do with the Elizondo-coaches Elks that year! Bang on how Biggie makes plenty of receivers look extra mortal. Ellingson obviously a huge signing and he can’t come back soon enough.

Last year the Elks first game at IGF, they were about to get out from under their own goal posts on a nice pass from Harris to Ellingson… until Biggee absolutely lowered the boom on him just as he was securing the ball. O’Shea will always publicly say they did enough to win. Honestly the different phases showing up to win in different ways is huge character building and valuable situational experience. Give me the team that knows how to roll when the going gets tough every time. If it was Madden football every week, I can see a team being psychologically weak at the first bump in the road.
