like this...and interesting.....he was available because essentially nobody wanted to have to deal with the 6 game suspension if signed so the way the NFL churns guys over wasnt worth the wait....could be a real good score for us tho
Real good in making tough catches...actual hand catcher, and as a big bodied guy actually eats up a lot of space quickly.....kind of guy ZC would thrive with in regards to some his ducks he tends to throw deep now

he actually runs a really good QB school....and is great with the x's and o's of things....He has got a lot of praise for his work with young QB's....so he would be a pretty good addition to the coaching staff as he rehabs....we gave Thomas a spot and he does pretty much zero in regards to coaching to this point

Yeah had some Lawler vibes for sure..but bigger more durable body
Looks to be able to have use in the short game as well
Definitely knows how to use frame to box out defenders..and like he is a hand catcher...mitigates being separated from ball in traffic

Reminds a bit of kenny lawler. Tremendous hands and ability to catch contested balls win 50/50 and pay the physical price to get big possession catches. He tested a bit better than lawler but i don’t see him running open much. Great body control, positional awareness, and the size to go with it. I love the football iq when his qb breaks the pocket and how he comes back to the ball. 

 How he adapts to our game and if he can get open vs pro dbs are the big questions. Very good prospect for us.

Jahmal Banks was signed today. Seems like an intriguing signing as he's 6-4 and was suspended by the NFL earlier this year for some reason.

going jones to sankey is a lateral move, certainly not one worth losing sleep over or spending money on. 
 We have a good group of bigger wils who can actually run/cover ground, and play inside gaps. The only LBers in free agency I would look at is allen, and mcmanis. Who are the top tier of value at wil/mac. 

Teams that lose them due to poor rostering...repeatedly....thats who....and good teams always look to add to roster...continually get better...and add pieces where they may already have guys...who aren't as good....again...that's who
 
we should be in his ear now....guy is a baller and will be 2 yrs removed now from his injury...so should be the in back to impact form...27...in his prime....versatile....a no bainer

I’ll just take these moves at face value.
Hogan, it seemed like everyone knew he sucked at his job and it grew to be a point of contention with several players (Zach, Brady, etc) so I really don’t get the desire to bring him back in any capacity.
Jake, as much as I’ve hated seeing him get trotted out there for the past … 5??? years, I’m really not too bothered by us hiring him. That being said, I think it’s fair to say this isn’t a move that gives me confidence as a fan. Also fair to say, it’s probably the first move we’ve made all offseason that has given me pause (and the fact that it’s an O’Shea decision shouldn’t be lost on any of us)

Jake was halfway serviceable maybe 5..6 yrs ago but even then he was bottom teir..we had a decade to upgrade the roster spot...chose not to....not how I roll that's fir sure

The only thing I'll say about Jake is he had one move. Bull rush. He held his head up with his left hand in his 3 point stance. .He just charged ahead & was pushed back. If he coaches technique like that... He would have been better served to coach at the U Sport level & learn his craft. Maybe come back in 4 or 5 years. Coaching is a lot different than playing. Hogan should have been shown the door but I guess they felt bad for him & felt they owed him a spot. 

I'm just really hoping the BB's find a few diamonds in the rough this coming season especially when it comes to our D and O lines and TC is heavily competitive earn your spot at all positions approach.

On the plus side, we don't have to argue/***** about Jake starting.
I'm more upset Hogan stays unless its a money thing.
