  2. It's a team game and a team win..or loss..in the 2 playoffs before last yr Nichols played great. Well over 300 yards passing....30+ points scored...2 straight losses..last year in WSF a similar statline to this year (minus the 3+ TD's) as we played ultra conservative and took a shot when it was there and leaned on the dominant run which you do in cold weather playoff games and we won...WF was just a flat crappy performance all around and air blame Lapo on that But anyway Nichols has performed in the playoffs for us well..more than well enough to win 3 games not just the 1 and who knows what the results would have been if they won those 2 other games. Also of note if Oshea didnt elect to try that impossible field goal and let his offence get a few more yards..which they showed they could of that game we win that too. This team was let down 3 times in playoffs before by the leaky defense...this year is looking to be not like that and if these guys get better and avoid injury as year goes on..this offence with the weapons..the quick strike ability and the beat u up run game just has to do what it's doing.. manage the game..dont cough up the ball and take the shots when they are there..i wouldn't change a thing other than not be so passive when up by a few scores
  3. If that's a game manager along with a 4-0 record un the process gimme a game manager evry day then..when u look ar vcd the big numbers some G of these guys have put up..andnthen see their teams record..makes you kinda glad we have a game manager...no?
  4. On the one in the north end zone the miscommunication/misread was on the corner being not in his zone..Jones was over top help and hustled to try and get there. Not sure if halfback or corner was on wrong page but someone was. Jones made first key stop on the 3 goaline attempts and also several other nice reads/tackles... No real glaring errors...is interesting to hear tho Benevudes liking Hechts play and saying he is an upgrade over Loffler whom he said made way too many errors/screw ups at safety
  5. Yeah on the 3rd attempt at the goaline he was pretty key..and also showed good nose for ball
  6. Harrick is fine..he was kept out solely cause game was well in hand and to give Desjarlais needed reps...all is good Same with Hecht..he'll be playing as well Briggs i doubt but we now have Dondre Wright to slide into the lineup so we will be fine..we dont need Briggs anyway for ratio requirements and Temple did fine filling in for him and with more reps would get better as well but I would assume Biggie is back next week anyway so a non issue
  7. Montreal has a lot of talent there..so not a shock they are putting it together now that they have a coaching staff that's capable. As much as a putz Kavis is he has actually assembled a decent squad..
  8. Briggs was in a sling..I sit right over looking bench..Hecht stayed in full uniform and was doing stuff to stay loose all game..
  9. Bell rung...not sure if he failed protocol but didnt look like it from what he was doing on sideline..I think they just being cautious
  10. Is he not signed to a standard 2 yr?
  11. Lapo has Nichols playing smart and utilizing the run game. He takes shots when they are there and the defense tends to cheat a bit and focus on Harris..and when not taking a shot plays safe..controls the game without giving the ball away and wait for the next shot...obviously until teams defend differently we will keep doing it...and last 2+ yrs show we can pretty much avg 30 points a game.. (as a team effort) playing this way. Also I bet we lead or are up at top of league in big explosion plays and Nichols has prob now thrown 3 or 4 deep shots to receivers in stride for scores to put to bed this notion he has no deep ball. Also the tangent some go off on with some big plays being result of receiver grabbing a short pass and doing rest himself is also wrong as those plays are a result of the other guys on offence doing their parts unselfishly for the play to succeed...its been plays executed to perfection...not some fluke
  12. yeah...several figured that...I had no concerns really with oline...thought there might be some bumps with learning curve a bit...but that seems to be very very minor Having the bookends we do helps a lot, and the fact the 3 new guys were all here from 1-3 yrs prior to this year was huge too with 2 of the 3 being first round talents....and we still have 2 other first round talents being groomed as well as Neufeld on the 6 game...we are in a good spot depth and talent wise to sustain O-line dominance for quite a few years right now Even though Bryant just turned 33 this year, and Hardrick 29 we are good there too..Bryant shows no sign of decline at all and I bet has a good 2 years after this year...same with Yoshi
  13. 250k actually...that line is something awful
  14. I try not to remember the Tim Burke era...dark dark times
  15. Andrew Harris
  16. Yeah those penalties by him are fine by me as long as its not happening over and over...Hardrick rarely takes penalties of any kind never mind the stupid selfish type...he was just letting Ottawa know that there would be no more of the cheap crap they are prone to attempt
  17. Two best tackles in the league if you ask me and not just saying that cause their Bombers
  18. Yeah the look on Reilly's face said it all too on the second one..was the look of not going to him again and please get him outta my offence
  19. Yeah I think that may become a trend...our dline takes up so much attention and makes plays that it allows our linebackers easy access to cleaning up...teams may try to establish the run...but ifbit appears to be a no go..they will abandon it Another thing which is helping is Wilson is ultra quick in getting to the play and recognizing things.. so even if he isnt making the primary or initial tackle he is influencing where play ends up going much like Jeffersons presence on the dline....Wilson is much faster reacting and getting to the ball carrier than JSK was
  20. Bailey seems/looks pretty polished..and nice size..i think in the actual real offence now he would be a nice dependable guy with big play ability
  21. I'd actually like to se what Walker brings..or Bailey..we know Lawlwr basically so let's see the others in a real game
  22. Maybe casual/fair weather fans dont want to watch the disaster that is unfolding?
  23. Yeah perfect game to heal up bumps and bruises and get healthy.. no being cocky here but I'd sit Biggie another game to make sure he good for long haul. We di fine without him and Ottawa has a better offence at moment than T.O
  24. SMS perhaps..has a good skillset..
  25. That was a random out of the norm injury/reason not to finish..other than the TC injury last yr Nichols has not been an injury concern..his minor Knicks he got before.. calf..hand/finger he eventually dealt with and played through
