  1. I'm okay with Young going..was afraid we were gonna lose Younger which would be a bigger hit...I honestly think he is being groomed to eventually be the DC
  2. Hall should stay..he has evolved his defense and is a perfect guy to mentor Younger Constanza as well is a great hire..and will he heavily involved in game day management for the offence..I can see a more vertical game and using the run to augment the pass more so than the other way around this yr
  3. In preseason McGuire showed a lot of poise and confidence in the pocket..has that instinctive ability to sit in there..find his reads and make all the throws. He's also athletic and can run effectively if need be..
  4. plus the fact there is a 25% chance Matt's surgery has as a failure rate and he won't even be ready for TC is a huge factor involved...
  5. Mcallister is a Jefferson clone...but a bit faster, and if we didn't have Jeffcoat..Jefferson and Roh last year would have made the team outta camp...especially with Kongbo on the IR...This may signal the end of Roh's time here though especially if Willie is back, as he will have an increase in salary, and if we have Nevis back theres no room for Roh's vet salary If Willie is gone for the year to the NFL...Then a Jeffcoat/Roh/MCCallister rotation will serve us rather nicely
  6. Not on offence I don't think...no need there really unless they can get Ryhmes...Thats the only guy I would want us to go after, or could see us going after I could see us though going hard after one of Ciante Evans/Jonathon Rose/Jonathon Mincey...Possibly Kanneh if others resign with their teams prior to free agency....addition of any one of them would ease the loss of Rose and Sayles and a backfield of Alexander, Taylor, Jones and one of the aforementioned would be fine by me
  7. I only drop a tidbit when I get it outta the horses mouth...or from a horse in the race so to speak...so nothing I know of as a for sure...Though I would not be surprised to see a Nevis deal at some point...possibly before free agency actually begins...especially with the Jefferson uncertainty at the moment...I think once the QB thing is cleared up that will have Nevis deal along with or shortly after...my opinion only there...That being said Walters has surely got Jefferson money accounted for in his 2020 projections at moment so he has an idea of whats left in the bank, as thats what the prudent GM's do in a situ like that, so bringin him back won't be much an issue I don't think adams will make it into free agency honestly, Buck will want that veteran presence and he will have to severly get out played/performed by someone in TC to be let loose
  8. One of my many according to some where hahahahahha
  9. YEAH....If both weren't resigned here....it would have been cause they hung em up as champs
  10. I would think the only new addition/name would be a positional coach of some type....and it will be a name new to the CFL coaching scene, but with CFL playing experience
  11. along with Gray and Desjarlais..we are set up well with young Nationals...with Neufeld as our "old timer" with just turning 31 in December...we have a pretty solid group for quite a few years yet
  12. That and the fact he was royally robbed of a 3rd straight Most Outstanding Olineman award this year...but totally proved he was in Grey Cup against the "winner" What a joke that award was not going to Bryant
  13. as will whatever QB is starting for us...thats a major draw in attracting one if we go away from Nichols
  14. Told you all to chill and that this was just a matter of announcing...this was basically done around christmas....so our entire line is back...with backups from our playoff and end of year run....we laughing
  15. Pierce if the OC will continue on with what we have been doing somewhat..but he will put his own stamp/signature on the offence and I believe he will have a more aggressive approach than Lapo...he's not gonna want to be viewed as a Lapo clone..nor have any success basically attributed to a "Lapp" offence...he will want to own any success and or failures
  16. Yeah we lost some solid guys..but as we see as of now we have some depth to cover it. I dont expect Sayles back for a few yrs..if ever but I think Jones will take his spot and we wont really miss a beat I could see Rose back before Sayles..he doesnt offer as much on teams as Sayles and he is pretty slight of frame for a prototypical NFL corner.. If we find a diamond and our land one of the free agents available this yr..we will be just fine
  17. Those games tho had 3 guys in the secondary that were replaced in the last 3rd of season...and were a big reason for the defense coming together
  18. His stats and use though as either were pretty much non-existent...was worked in practice as a TE/FB/WR and QB but a lot of that was him wanting to get reps and help on scout teams as much as possible...to try and get some field time...I think his Minnesota years accounted for 1 reception..and 2 or 3 rushes....and coming from a point of being there done that...the drop off in talent and skill in most NCAA programs from starters, to back ups in most spots is generally quite big...to the point many are there as bodies to fill out rosters, but rarely touch the field..and some never dress...sure back-ups get used but they are not top shelf talents by any stretch
  19. That Red River program churns out a plethora of elite football guys...damn shame that recruiting scandal has sanctioned them though...pity lol
  20. exactly...most there prob only have seen 2....and it's funny because they yap alot about majority of Bomber fans having never witnessed a Grey Cup win.....further confirming that math skills...and overall intelligence out that way has avoided more than a few people
  21. Longer posts are ok if they have substance and a purpose..and aren't just a delusional rant I had no issue with the post in question.. agreed pretty much with it for most part and it was factual and well thought out..unlike some nonsense we see on forums Thanks for the props by the way..sometimes I tend to rant and get long winded but usually comes from a place I've been or seen..or still have some connections with/to And some are in response to posts that irk and piss me off which come from places people have no clue about..no experience in..and generally are thier own agenda...
  22. Conceivably he could...but if he wants to develop as a true QB....Like he has mentioned, and gets a decent deal up here in a QB1B range salary wise, he would develop more...most likely make more than the minimum PR salary in NFL (if you are on it for full season is 136k)...which equates to about 175k Canadian....many times too an NFL team drops pr guys for a week or 2...puts them back on...so you aren't even guaranteed the full season amount....he would toil in obscurity, with little fanfare adoration, where in Canada would be front and center and considewred a rock star...
  23. Dime a dozen athletes with his measureable...I have already stated his passing stats his senior year..they are top notch...but he won't be viewed there as a number 1 guy to compete...most likely a 3rd and never dressed, and if he is to make it doing other things..teams...te..fullback...there are far better choices to choose from where guys have been doing elusively that...for years and years..Strev hasn't and for all his phenomenal attributes, being signed and groomed as a QB option there are gonna be slim...bordering on none... And yeah...he will have to find the perfect situation with a team willing and wanting to run gimicks...and have a supporting cast now to allow for it...and again...those spots are pretty far and few between
  24. as a receiver also he had one career catch at Minnesota...not like he was rip roaring through defences there catching the ball...Woli was the guy there doing damage...and we have him locked up
  25. ACtually Strev is not 230....he is about 220 on a heavy day...and doesnt run a sub 4,40...his make up is a dime a dozen in the U.S....And many are slightly more polished...even the ones coming out of top NCAA programs even though Strev has 2 years of pro experience...he may get a sniff....but be hard pressed to make an active roster there and doubt wants to bounce around on PR's...he has already said that He also has never played teams...and sure he can learn but why would a team roster him for that and have him learn on the fly, and not be very proficient at it when they have umpteen other prospects to choose from who can do it..and do it well
