  1. yeah...that's the only fanbase to not actually realize the facts that Winnipeg is a top level team. they are still on the delusion that our record last year and this is mainly due to lucky breaks, ref's incompetence and unsustainable turnover's which is the reason for our wins. That and the fact we have an inferior ham and egger QB who isn't good enough to win games...funny part of that is it almost exactly explains their team to a T
  2. Pretty sure JOnes will get impatient...he sorta has already this year.
  3. Maybe was a look see to determine if he is going to come to TC this spring
  4. yeah thats what I was saying too, that little burst was an aberration and not an indicator of what they actually are. You don't go from looking like a middling bottom feeder to a world beater the following week with the same line-up and weak depth, and if you ask me piss poor schemes and coaching. They are still bringing in guys, mixing and matching and have no real consistency or familiarity with one another...undersized D-line will kill them, and has already the last 3 games began to show once the weather gets colder and they still are trotting out Kevin Glenn as their starter...and we all know how he does when it gets to be fall and the games get important. The LDC game as well...if wasn't for us basically in a daze in first quarter should have lost that game as well....if you want to say smoke and mirrors as a reason for a record...look at the Rider's....No QB...No running game...undersized D-line, zero DB depth on game day roster, and on PR...and razor thin Canadian depth....what does that add up to down the home stretch and playoffs (if they get in, but I'm not sure they do even with season series won against Edm and BC)...it adds up to not much and an early...ugly exit
  5. Warner was a defensive end first time..and an animal When he came back has bulked up to an interior d-lineman body type and wasn't the same..good..but not a force like when he was an end
  6. That weak Sask O-line is going to have all they can handle with T.O's D-line to just keep guys off of Kevin Glenn...let alone have any success opening up holes for a run game. On the flip side I can see Wilder ripping off huge gains against that 3 man front and undersized Di-line of sask
  7. I expect not much...and most likely an injury.
  8. most likely game day roster depth...which on their part is a good move
  9. yeah the sacks allowed is a deceiving stat...pressures allowed is more of an indicator. Some of the sacks allowed are a result of Nicholls not trying to force a throw into double/triple coverage or just toss up something when he shouldn't be and risking giving up a pick. It's a result of a smart QB not turning the ball over and taking that sack if he cant just throw it away...and I am o.k with that as we keep possession of the ball. Also we lead the league in rushing yards per game on top of the least pressures allowed, so that tells you where our line is at...top of the league
  10. Actually not really the case....there was some real issues off the flied/behind the scenes which basically forced the Bombers hand in dealing him and saving face for both the organization, and for Roberts himself...was nothing to do with not producing, but played a part in his production not being Charles Robert's good but still better than most in the league
  11. Winnipeg has won all their games against teams coming of the bye this year i think...as well as won both of their games after the bye
  12. it would open up so much underneath stuff it would be unreal. Another giy who would really benefit from that would be Denny...unsung hero here on boards a lot of the time but probably our most polished and reliable receiver
  13. Nope....it was the 8 games last year and the first 10 this year to show what 18 game season would be. I guess if you went all games this year and backtracked to 18 the numbers might be even better
  14. Yeah kind of sick about his tire pumping...he got all his picks in basically 2 games, and 4 or 5 of them were complete gifts and not the result of great play, and other than that has been pretty pedestrian and average at best. I'd take a Randle, Heath even an Alexander over him any day
  15. Leggett tho stayed on sidelines in his full gear till the end of game...which doesn't mean much, but if it was something really serious you would think that he would have been at the least out of his pads and having ice on something. So thinking that it may have been not too serious...hopefully anyway
  16. i was just summarizing the last full consecutive 18 games he had played...last years eight and this first 10 to get a general sense of what a full season would have been and not just cherry pick the best 18 games
  17. Interesting to note that after Darvin's first 10 games this year combined with his 8 last year he has put up the numbers of 109 receptions...1356 yards (avg 12.4 yds a catch) and 11 TD'S over the course of a season, not to mention 9 more receptions for 240 yards and 2 TD's over his last 2. Now if those aren't elite receiver numbers to put to bed the notion that he isn't an "elite" receiver then I don't know what is.....not to mention the yac he gets with tough yards and key second down grabs he makes. Very impressive for when at the time his signing was kind of met with a "meh" and " Who dat" kind of impression Man if we could add another burner, or an Alfred Jackson type (last years version) to the mix with what we currently employ on offence with Harris and Flanders...damn look out
  18. With their injuries..short week..on road and Redblack's wanting/needing a win to try and get a home playoff date I see them winning. Their defense isn't chopped liver and I think Saskatchewan crested on their little streak and are now playing back to where they truly are at. If Hamilton hadn't played such a putrid game they would be riding into Ottawa on a 3 game skid right now, and pitch forks back out to can everything and anything over there on Riderfan's They got really lucky that they got Hamilton in transition when they did
  19. They played a bit of a different game. Hill as a pure cover guy was phenomenal.. just had a knack for being in a guys hip pocket and basically running the route for the receiver and stealing the ball. Bolden all around was dominant..big body..great cover skills and the definition of a shut down corner. He would play and line up all over almost with no set position and just shut down a teams number one..where hill was strictly on the corner. Bolden too could really play a physical game and stick a guy..hence why he was called "Stick" in some circles and it wsnt because his tall long body. Another beauty who was total shut down was Roy Bennett
  20. And it's nice to know that going into the off-season basically regardless how the season goes we are going into it set at QB...nor real worries and need to toss big bucks at any QB free agent like about 4 teams will be doing to drive up the price...
  21. I bet he lands in Montreal actually Either Franklin or Reilly are going to be in T.O unless Ray comes back...can't see it, but if he stays injury free the rest of the year he could come back next year even stronger, and he at this point now is the classic game manager style QB with the potential to rip a defense a new one. I bet BC jumps in the Franklin fray as well and if he moves it will be them scooping him from the Rider's and I have a feeling the Rider's are going to be going to camp with what they have now, and that just makes chuckle inside
