any player will tell you...and you will read it in press all the time that the coaches prepare and put the players in the position/situation to succeed.....and yes it is up to the players as well to perform and get the job done.....wont argue....but if the players are not put in position/coached./schemed to succeed then it doesn't matter how well they perform a flawed game plan.....its not gonna rep any rewards....and going rogue and bucking the game plan doing your own thing...even if it is the better thing is the fastest way to get benched...stuffed on the PR or flat out cut...well a good staff would would do that. We lost 3 straight...yup....for a combination of reasons...poor play...poor scheme....absurdly bad rostering of injured guys even tho the HC professes all guys are starters and are here as they give us a chance to win, yet he doesn't even hiself follow that mantra...or seem to believe it...as it is a pile of crap essentially as they are not all starter material....some of our starters we lean on are no longer starter material, and the big fly in the ointment is we were outcoched/classed in all 3 losses....severely We went to 5 straight cups yup...but lost 3 straight we really shouldn't have for essentially the same reason...failure to roster accordingly....failure to dress guys who were truly playable, and failure to adjust the gameplan when adjustments were required, but instead relied on just trying to pound a square peg in a round hole solely because it worked before. That is 100 percent not on the players Going into 2025...what makes anyone believe that we will adapt and alter how we do things based on the past 5 yrs? Heck we weeks from free-agency and we haven't even got all our internal affairs in order yet and for what has been mentioned most the decisions right now are all on Walter's and Oshea.....doesn't give a warm fuzzy confident feeling to be honest knowing Osh will be parlaying for signing likely BA....Biggie...Jake....Wilson...not even considering looking for a punter...and likely already having decided that ZC is defacto starter evn if he is outplayed in camp/pre-season, or just looks to be regressing Call me a hater all you want.....but thats just being a realist...clubs that cling on to the past too long usually end up looking up at the teams who are adapting and evolving...

Yeah...if we roll into camp as Jones as the impact guy...or hopes of that...prepare for adequate play but nothing impactful..he'd be the ultimate DA behind our starters tho

I okay with Neuf....he is one of the voices and leaders on the team....and was banged up last yr....played well again when finally healthy....Not to beat a dead horse to death but a change at center would bring the play up on the interior....Kolo is a very limited center....but we know limited talent here if an Osh fav gets the play time The silence with other signings, and solidifying coaching is a little concerning tho....there some reason's I can see but prob wont mention here as dont wanna upset the fanboi's with nobody can do no wrong on our current staff I think you will be surprised at a few players who are gonna look around and see what's available....tho not necessarily gonna leave...but may...many here wanna deny it but there is a fair sized group of players..some tenured vets who were not happy how things were managed 2 yrs running now....I also think that the non confirmation on an OC...and the defection of other coaches says a lot....of how some things are ran here...the my way or the suck it up style.....interesting 3 weeks coming up

shouldnt all the players u roster have never say quit in them..and be tough...athletic...versatile....and if not...why they on roster?...call me crazy but in my coaching tenure/experience, thts how we rolled....yhou eraned a spot in camp....and then had to maintain/keep it in season...be it if you were a rookie...2 yr guy..10 yr guy....nothing was handed to you with zero competition, and if you were not performing at the best compete level....u saw the bench or inactive roster.....or bought a bus ticket... that staff does not inspire me....Good luck Buck I think Jackson is the guy...and best option...he's been around a bit but worked with a lot of people....and like Younger has some innovative ideas He has the knowhow and actual sense to use skill sets to get the best out of players...if he was here last yr he would have utilized Whitehead...Demski and likely MCI to an extent to help open things up elsewhere...I could also have seen Brown stick on roster and become a nice piece.... we were out coached plain and simple...and has happened a ton the last 3 yrs...we had the horses to get things done....but the horses need to be coached....trained...made aware of what will/won't work...then re-hash it all, with a plan B for when things are being stiffled...we did none of that and were just content to roll with what worked in the past....and it didnt work...thts a sign of a staff with no answer when it happens repeatedly....or a sign of a stubborn staff who think they the smartest in the room....pick which one you want sure we overhauled a bit....but then refused to use them and played way too many sets with Thomas...wayyyy too many...and an absurdly bizzare amount with him and Schmeck...so may as well went with one lineman and drop 11 back.....bringing in new talent an blood is one thing....uses then is a different beast here...that goes with our LB's too

I never felt that way....was just more of a glossing over of the issues with some wins....but the issues were still there and ready to bite...and chomp chomp is exactly what happened...we were basically a team getting by with 1/3rd of the units (defence) being dominant...the other 2 were middling at best and severely out coached....but we slithered into the playoffs and grey cup...and the status quo was deemed good enough...and it wasn't....that was my take going into the last 3rd of season and play-offs and was pretty accurate...and to be honest it's a good thing we played a team with a brain dead HC leading them in the WF....

expect to hear a Strevie signing shortly into the new yr Gong to camp with ZC...Wilson...Dolo and Grainger with Strevie killing the rehab is all we need...no need to take reps away from any of the mentioned for a guy who will be 4th on depth chart at best....we already know QB 1 is not even gonna be a competition and even if ZC stinks the joint up and has degraded in anyway....Osh will not supplant him to back up....And who cars if he is a 600k back-up....the cost of your QB's is the same regardless of what order you put them in..

well we went internal with Buck and he had one season with a Cup but that was when more players were in their prime and offensively wasn't really reason we won in 2021....what has he won here after that?...zip.....and taken a lot of heat for it as well....he worked under Lapo.....and now the internal hire guy will have worked under lapo....and buck...and been ensconced in this way we do things now for a while.....which in itself needs to be tweeked....so going internal again....because thats what we do to me seems like the safe move....but not the best one.....flame away
