  1. Thing is..if we win out..and bc wins out then we would all be tied at 11-7 and relegated to a cross over spot..which is crazy with and 11-7 record That being said we gotta win 2 games if we get in to get to cup anyway so dont care where it has to be played. With the east u may get benefit of playing in better weather so shouldn't be a factor in a game and the distance to the east..vs the west for travel is really insignificant to be honest
  2. Generational X for me...it's a bit different lol
  3. back the truck up...you just showed numbers reflecting agricultural exports....cant cherry pick statistics to validate an argument...no way in Hades do any of what you claimed was the top export total the $$ value of this...but nice try...you still chuckling???...I know I am The mining and petroleum industries make up the largest primary resource industry of Manitoba’s economy. The 2017 value of mining and petroleum production totalled $2.5 billion (preliminary estimate), comprising Metallic minerals ($1.37 billion or 54%, with nickel accounting for 21.4%, copper 22.4%, gold 17.3%, zinc 34.1%, silver 2.1% and other metals 2.7% of total value of metals) Industrial Minerals ($289.4 million or 11.4%) and Petroleum ($877 million or 34.6%). In 2017, the mining and petroleum industries accounted for approximately 3.3% of the province's nominal GDP (basic prices) and 2.5% of international exports of goods. Capital expenditures on mining and petroleum development in 2017 totalled an estimated $537.5 million. Manitoba’s mining and petroleum industries directly employed approximately 6,200 people in 2017a. In 2017, Manitoba producedb: 39.2% of Canada's zinc 10.9% of Canada's nickel 6.6% of Canada's copper 2.7% of Canada's gold 11.6% of Canada's silver
  4. well he is in phenomenal shape..maybe this is a bit of a blessing if his knee injury isn't nothing major...allow him to totally heal up from the Achilles thing...train hard and come back next year to camp and give it one last kick...If anyone can do it certainly he can, and many others have been very productive into their mid/late 30's on defense..Cox..Hebert..Bowman..to name a few recent ones...I wouldn't write him off yet....from someone who came back from 2 major surgeries as a player..I can tell you sometimes even though medically cleared it often takes almost another year to "fully" get back to where/what you were before injury His first few games back he looked really good...but I think he got knicked or re-aggrevated something as his last few he tapered off...32 next year isn't old man status yet in this day and age, so I hope we sign him to a 1 yr deal...test him out and if he doesn't have it...no damage...just release him and add him to coaching staff...He's a guy you wanna keep in your organization. I wouldn't be opposed either if we can work the ratio to putting him back in at safety if signing Loffler is going to take too much scratch to resign..Moe was a beast back there if you all forgot
  5. Yeah I know..and we well on way to it lol
  6. I hope so..means we will be balling.. but also to watch you lose your **** some more lol
  7. Lol...yeah I wonder if I will see that.. I stood pat saying we were one of top teams even tho Nichols went to parts unknown for 3-4 games...get his head back in place and we would be golden. When u think about it too..we almost pitched shutouts in 2 of our last 3 games..if not for that last minute drive at end of first half where we were playing basically to prevent a late touchdown..we would have blanked Schmoes too. If we would have played the same aggressive way that last drive.. I strongly feel we would have shut them out too
  8. If Calgary wins today..they wrap up first..so may be resting some guys and not playing as urgently...tho we are playing good..healthy..and think we will win at home anyway. BC has a lot to play for as well next week and I am sure dont want to be a crossover team with the distance and all..u actually see a Winnipeg winning out and Sask losing out and a WSF here against Bc
  9. no..no...i was referring to the Dunk/walters collusion on stuff..haha..seems to be a regular comment there
  10. I wasn't reffereing to what Jones finally implemented...sadly tho probably having to be slapped upside the head to wake up and realize...I was referring to many other totally arbitrary things...articles on 3down-nation..league runours..etc...where the idiots over there spin the conspiracy stuff...tho it is amusement and funny...it's getting pretty old...
  11. Man you just don't get the seriousness of this...maybe if you had lost someone...or almost lost (such as myself) you may feel different...and just because others have done/do it...does that make it acceptable?..hardly Times have changed now, and seeing as everything is known in an instant with social media/internet etc...yeah it becomes news..In the past a lot of things were never brought to light due to never having the access to hear/find out about it...so many a putz (public figure) and average Joe got to slither away..to likely do it again... The fact too though that a team stands behind an anit-drunk driving campaign...and at first showed no course of action in regard to it is almost as bad as the incident itself...and as a public figure in the new millennium...you are under the microscope and scrutinized and as much as you may not want to be a role model in the public eye...you are and have to conduct yourself accordingly...just the way it is.
  12. yeah....most likely Dunk and Walters set Hughes up...that seems to be their response to most things...what an idiotic fan base
  13. Well they are pretty hooped for this next game now....even more than before this...wonder tho how long he will be off the roster...I don't think 1 game really makes up for what he went against in their values and expectations..
  14. Well for one...he signed a actual 3 year deal right out of the gate....and two...he lasted a year in the NFL and had some options this year which he decided to not chase, to get his career going here Shepley didn't make it through a camp...nor get a PR spot offered anywhere....somewhat of a difference ...no?
  15. No **** sherlock...he doesn't have an opportunity in states.. is hoping for maybe one. And he is tied to Ruders for 2 years initially.. Doesnt mean he wants to stay there.. we will see when his 1st contract expires where he goes.. I bet he bolts. That being said.. he may amount to nothing much as well..just dont know. For all the tire pumping he didnt last long down there.. nor get nabbed by anyone else like other oline prospects who went to NFL originally but ended back up here
  16. all clubs know of it....been around forever....It's more Shepley calling the shots and not wanting to get tied to them right now just yet...Most likely as well it's because he doesn't wanna really be there and will bolt as soon as he is able to after first contract
  17. I think he knows if to extend his career he's gonna be taking a pretty good shave...he doesn't have much of a leg to stand on to support big bucks now with 2 years straight of significant time missed each year
  18. He would be a nice guy to keep if we have the ratio ability to have him on the roster as a back-up...used in packages and to rotate in to keep guys fresh...
  19. Oh I agree...I got one as well back in the Early 90's and never have even risked it again...as well my son was T-boned by a drunk blowing a red light in 2016 and had to have emergency brain surgery due to it and was off work for a year...so it hits close to home for me. I was just wondering the optics though of what the Riders stand behind, and playing a player who went against that doesn't leave good optics
  20. things have changed in that time tho... Also wouldn't the fact that the Riders are a strong supporter and back the Saferide program in Saskatchewan be very hypocritical and send the wrong message if they just do nothing about this and let it slide? Not saying that he should be let go...but a team imposed suspension of some type would be the right thing...no?....if not...they shouldn't be backing a program such as that when their own employees don't stand by it, nor are disciplined in some matter for totally going against it....they in a bit of a pickle there when you think about it
  21. I hope our successor to Harris is an import...we just are lucky to have a National of his calibre play that spot..so we adjusted our roster accordingly.. but it's not ideal...you see when he gets dinged or goes out how the drop off is...severe. Also if we want to keep that ratio if he is out extended time..well it would affect us in several positions to make it work..and most likely making us we weaker as a whole. I hope our next feature back is an import
  22. yeah..only kind of addressing it now at heir post practice presser yesterday because it was reported in papers...prob would have never knew..and noting done about it if not for that
  23. We have a glut right now..say we resign them all..Thats Neuf..Chungh..Goosen..Gray..Spooner..Speller..Couture..French dude.(thats 8)..we start 3..have one on roster as a 6th..and you prob want 2 on PR/IR So of that 8 we technically need 6 readily available...drafting another 1 or 2 again would be a waste and very redundant as we have 2 extra as it is where really we have no room to stash and hold basically no trade value as they are not gonna start anywhere and if a team really wants one..they know we would be cutting a couple anyway. We can go a year..possibly 2 without drafting a o-lineman and should be focusing on defense guys if you ask me...load up on d-line/lb types...that or more depth, or guys that can push our national receivers...thats the smart move in immediate future
  24. well he fit in this year at 185k...and will prob take only an additional 25..30k to resign him...so you don't resign Dressler at his 130k or more he is making and use the remaining 100k or so to re-up Chungh..Goose and Bryant..and still have a bit left...easy peasy fits just nicely
  25. they already tossed around the excuses...was a meaningless game....a garbage game...short week and we had more time to prepare...list goes on and on..
