The season and how you go about it..roster..etc...sets you up tho for success in it tho...we effed it up during the yr 3 yrs running...so it's preventative maintenance so to speak

so he claims...but when rubber meets the road and guys are hurt/underperforming all those other "they all starter guys..thats why6 they here" still sit.....as they play the weak and wounded....bullshit artist extroidinaire...early season games...especially a home one against a weaker sister...short week...guys a bit banged up is the perfect time to get guys like Mitchell....Person...Bailey..Cobb in for reps/valuable playtime experience and if anything else...see what they can do and if they make us better...but alas no...ride guys to a worn out nub...and not groom/develop depth...I can see 2025 going the same way 2022-2024 went...with a possibility this yr it all comes to roost and we dont even make the big dance in our own back yard...worn out guys...injured guys still playing...zero depth or lack of faith in the "they all starter guys"....until Osh proves otherwise to us there no reason not to think this exact same scenario now running 4 yrs in a row plays out again dont learn from history you tend to repeat it 4 yrs running...Maybe thats why Osh and Walters aren't re-upped yet/again..Maybe Miller wants to see results...and I can see him doing that too... and end if one or both our old ends get knicked....DT too if Lawson or Adams goes down which also is a piss poor thing going on...step in coach(s) and get in his ear...or grill...It's not like other teams don't see that and take things away and we sputter or throw picks...for all this great coaching people claim we have...and we surely do...they sure suck at putting things together at times as it should be....we tend to stunt guys at times....and I dont mean running Thomas in a stunt hahaha....that was soooooembarrasing

Tackles not a good metric unless you look at context of them Heart and grit are nice...but it's about talent and ability too...and that's eroded a lot and for an aged LB coming back form ACL...it gonna affect him still regardless how healed he seems....speaking from experience coming back from 2 reconstruction Don't get me wrong...loved Biggie a f what he did...key word "did" We should have moved on from him..and a few others last yr already

I bet we see Demski...that being said they should flip Sterns for Mitchel tho to give more a threat and a mid to deeper route guy to open more space for Demski and Schoen...even for big Kev to work underneath and give that nice target for conversions Keeping the oline as is and utilizing Cooley more too...and some packages with Strev to keep Edm dline honest and out of getting into a rhythm

this is the time of year and games where we "should" be trying some thigs...moving some pieces....seeing best fit and our best roster...not the status quo stand pat becai=use we won....or because a guy has been here years...or what Osh had said earlier "you look at old film and see what he can do" as thats not a good way of evaluation...looking backwards

riders have played basically a list of nobodies...and as usual....will hit their skid and swoon and lose 4..5..6 in a row again when they play legit teams after the 1st 3rd of season when everyone is dialed in....you can bank on that

YOU OF all people who diss people on their views as saying its their personal opinion...and then you go say that statement??....wow....And J.Jones has already been successful in the league for several yrs....Earned his chops in 2022...had great season in 2023...got hurt part way in season in 2024...and was a ratio victim when Judge was signed...nice special teams tackles...7 sacks one yr...2 time grey cup champ...3 yrs younger...better measurables....better tackler....just better yeah.....As soon as T.Jones was signed to a 2 yr deal...he was a lock...we couldhave had James West and Ty Jones clones in camp....and both would have took a back seat in Oshland T.Jones is average....J.Jones is not....and not **** you can have only so many Americans...tell us something we dont know...Wilson offers more than T.Jones if he can stay healthy...Prob more than J.Jones too but there's that big if...If one could be removed to give us our best 3 outta Wilson..Ayer..T.Jones and J.Jones it's T .Jones And he was invisible last game, and yeah at times he may seem to "be around the ball" in what context tho.?..its after yards are gained...in help clean up mode...or when teams went after him....he is lost in space...and doesnt range well lateral to attack and shut down a play for a loss or minimal yards... All the grief Wilson gets in the first 2 games he has been the best linebacker....and offensive schemes against us have been away from him...T.Jones got a buttload of tackles the one game....but there was a reason he did too.....

The injury he got...his age...when it happened last yr and the requirements of his position with stop...go...burst...cuts....I have a hard time seeing him being worth it now...if he even ready yet.....and if he has to be wearing a brace to compensate for it for first while....good luck with that....tough choice to make the hang em up decision....but he should have signed a one day deal...retired here and slid into the organization in some capacity Wish him well in the attempt and grabbing some last dollars....but it prob gonna tarnish peoples last memories of his ability on field

yup....He may say no to that...as he knows he can play and then it's up to Osh as to what and who in "his opinion" is the better asset..now...and moving forward....and we all know how that will go As soon as T.Jones was signed to a 2 yr deal it was basically cemented that he was then strting MLB this yr regardless of what transpired in camp...That's his way of doing things and how we got ourselves into the depth issues and the near non-existent back-up plan or guys capable or trusted to step in when needed...and this yr....nothings changed

Logical works just fine yup.....not so much when we have an illogical HC tho.... If I was coaching I'd swap out T. Jones for J.Jones this game and use a lot of Ayers and Wilson...for all Wilson's bad points (age/abilty to stay healthy) he still is a great sideline to sideline LB and posses pursuit....I can see Ford making T.Jones look silly in space and him not being able to track him down with angles or just plain sprint to the sideline Healthy and available Wilson is still good, and I think he has played better over all than Jones too....he can do more anyway He should be a SAM or HB....He's so good....Bonds too was gonna mention in other thread...guy is legit good as well...and is super smart/aware out there...

He plays more self preservation style now...so they need to customize a lot of stuff for a cerebral style now...he definitely doesn't get the ball out as fast as Strev either...its out of his hands lightning quick...once he gets more reps and a comfort level with the system and his receivers hes gonna be very effective... Cooley runs with speed and violence in traffic...and can still side step guys...he is definitely gonna pop some long runs out of the scrum if he gets more opportunities
