No way the upper echelon CFL guys go to the XFL. Guys like Edwards and Dennis...sure...the pay drop off is not nearly as steep and they can potentially double dip if they stay healthy. Walker can't risk losing his CFL paycheque on what the XFL is offering.

By the end of the day Sol E had regained his position as best MLBer in the CFL and Hamilton way overpaying Larry Dean. It's just absolutely comical.

I think we have seen a QB reset. Last year the two big fish landed 700 and 800k contracts. This year nothing over 500k. TO with low contracts to 2 QBs, Sask gets their most outstanding nominee QB for less than 500, only Arbuckle may have an argument for overpay but again is well under 500....and lets not forget that BLM and Masoli both took big shaves as well. Id say the QB market has reset to 2018 levels.

There is no team with competent management that is going to pay any player 290k in FA this year. This year is a market reset, we've seen it at QB already and it will continue with position players. Last year was an anomaly because GMs felt the SMS was going up by more than it did. Now teams are back pedaling hard off of last year's numbers. Willie will get a number more in line with Biggie's. Teams do not have the SMS this year because a crap load of SMS flex went away with rookie contracts raising so significantly.
