Maurice wants to use a man in front on the power play and buff is literally the best guy in the league at this role - why he's not a forward on power play is baffling... then he gets big minutes and trouba/morrissey quarterback the pp units and we never ever see Lowry with the most toi again...

Combo of wild-santos-leggett could make up for a lot... probably change a couple big plays against into big stops hurl doesn't have closing speed for hall's passive D so he's using hurl as an extra DL... like our new greg peach....

Chevy brought in Mason as our goalie solution and Kulikov as defensive help... there was actually no 'sweepstakes' for these guys - they should have been 'cheap' signings (i.e. Mason v. Ben Bishop, etc) but Winnipeg has managed to pay a premium (Kulikov is definitely not worth $4 mill) No more teflon for Chevy... average FA signings with a few home runs, some good contract extensions and some bad ones, draft record coming back to earth imo If Jets didn't win the draft lottery, this team is in an even deeper hole
