  1. Yes it's great. I love Travolta in everything.
  2. Much debate about the second amendment actually. It's scary to see the ease at which people get guns and have someone not believe it's a problem.
  3. You must be using an outdated browser
  4. I actually really like him as OJ. Good actor.
  5. Has nothing to do with admitting being wrong or not. I never argued this point in the first place. Perhaps reading comprehension isnt your strong suit. I had never heard of this before and then went and checked, including watching the video that was later posted as well as watching a video of Joe Rogan discussion it and reading several sites that debated it. No, sorry pal, it AINT undeniably stolen material. By the way, she denies it. Which immediately makes your point incorrect. Unless you were in the room with her, you simply cant say. Boy...some people... Perhaps you're more cool with admitting you're wrong because you're more used to it. I dont know.
  6. Its possible she has a bigger role in future films.
  7. Some info on the murder weapon: What happened to the murder weapon? Police never found the knife used in the double murder, although rumors flew during O.J. Simpson’s trial that he had dumped it in the trash at LAX. In 2012, however, a source told the National Enquirer that Simpson had actually kept the murder weapon, believed to be a German stiletto with a blade more than six inches long. According to the source, the jailed Simpson was negotiating to sell it to a wealthy collector for an astounding $5 million and “looking for a strictly cash deal so that the money can be deposited in offshore accounts and can't be traced directly to him.” Simpson was acquitted in 1995. Simpson had bought a Stiletto knife six months before the murders and asked it to be sharpened.
  8. I wonder about that so-called "leak" about his super high demands. Seems to be saying the right things. Fair market seems to be $4m-ish per year and sign him as long as possible. Probably get 6 years.Try for 8.
  9. Im almost obsessed with this case. Maybe its part nostalgia from when I was in high school and the case took place. Maybe my interest in law. But my jaw hit the floor when I saw this this morning. The one question would be, why wouldnt OJ retrieve and dispose of the knife if, in fact, its the murder weapon. Unless it was so well hidden he couldnt find it or forgot about it.
  10. I can agree with that. I wish I could remember the specific instances but I recall hearing different comedians using the same material before.
  11. I've been reading a bit about conspiracies because I keep getting pulled into this stupid debate with a friend who watches all the so-called 9/11 truther videos. What happens is, someone wants to believe a conspiracy so they take coincidences and acceptably unexplained things and creates a new narrative that is wildly unlikely. What is most likely is most likely. Not always, but most of the time. The idea that all these patent holders and developers were on the same flight sounds crazy until you consider they were all together for a major meeting or whatever it was. I went to Jamaica last year for a wedding and there were 40+ of us in the wedding party, many who worked for the same company. If the plane went down it would seem like a strange occurrence until you consider the reason we were all together. The one fact that hasnt received much attention is that another aircraft tried contacting the plane and received back a transmission that sounded like rushing air and moaning. On one hand, a grand conspiracy would answer every question. On the other, a massive technical failure would too. Which is more likely?
  12. More news and rumors. First the news: CBS has hired Bryan Fuller as Show Runner. Have also hired Nick Meyer (who wrote The Wrath of Khan & The Undiscovered Country) as a consulting producer and staff writer. Hired Rod Roddenberry (Gene's son) as Producer. Rumors: Show will take place in the "prime" universe 23rd century (putting it in the time of (or around) the original series. Speculation is either a Captain April or Captain Pike series or an Enterprise B series.
  13. Tough to listen to with the stupid music and computer voice. But if I understand it correctly, the plane was crashed to kill a bunch of the top executives of a company who shared an important and valuable patent with one dude. And the technology they were developing could hide aircraft from radar detection. Im not sure im following that part. They used the technology to hide the airplane but with the intent to crash it and kill everyone anyway. Im not sure why they'd need to use the technology or how they would remotely. And if they were going to crash it anyway, why bother? Unless they wanted to hide evidence of the crash. But still, they have to think there is a chance of the plane being eventually discovered. I think it could be a malicious act but more likely by a rogue pilot. A more likely scenario is a massive failure that caused the incapacitation of the crew and passengers. ofcourse the lingering question is that the plane seemed to make course corrections consistent with avoiding radar.
  14. Interesting. It makes sense if the plane went down where they think it did. Seems unfortunate that they haven't found it yet. It will literally be in the last place they look. Hopefully they do locate it and hopefully much of it is intact (or there is a debris field they can investigate).
  15. That's the irony. If its the murder weapon and there is DNA on it and its been at OJ's this entire time, it means the cops doing the search did a lousy job. It also means one theory of the case, that OJ took the weapon to Chicago with him to dispose of, is untrue. And that seemed like a weird thing for someone to do anyway. Who knows, could just a knife with no connection. But man, if there is any DNA on it.... Even if it could be used against him, there are issues of chain of custody. I believe the only penalty left for OJ is a potential wrongful death lawsuit from Nicole's children, who are very unlikely to ever do that.
  16. This could be monstrous news if there is any DNA on that knife... The Los Angeles Police Department on Friday confirmed the existence of a knife found years ago on the Brentwood property that once belonged to former NFL great O.J. Simpson, who in 1995 was acquitted in the stabbing death of ex-wife Nicole Brown Simpson and friend Ron Goldman. TMZ, which first reported news of the knife’s existence early Friday morning, says the knife was discovered by a construction worker at the former Simpson property at some point in the past, anywhere from several years ago to 1998, when the house was demolished by its next owner. The construction worker gave the knife to an off-duty LAPD officer who was working security at the house across the street. The officer then kept possession of it for years. Upon his retirement earlier this year, the officer asked a fellow cop for the case number of the Simpson murder investigation so he could have it engraved on the knife. The other officer told his superiors, who demanded that the knife be turned over to them, according to TMZ. After obtaining the knife, the LAPD began testing it for hair, fingerprints, DNA and other biological evidence in an investigation TMZ describes as “top secret.” No weapon was introduced as evidence during Simpson’s murder trial. LAPD Capt. Andrew Neiman confirmed to NBC4 in Los Angeles that a knife was found on the property and that the department is investigating the TMZ report.
  17. He's pro gun. He's against same sex marriage and civil unions (which should disqualify him really). Some things that are more opinion based but would "scare" some is he's very pro life. Pro death penalty. He doesnt believe in the climate change craziness. He's an interesting cat. Its hard to find someone that aligns with all views, I think for most people. I'd actually like most of Cruz' views but the same sex stuff just drives me insane. Not to mention pro guns. He's tough on crime but support legalizing pot, which is interesting (and I agree with).
  18. Sometimes its not just the pain, it's the sudden fear of injury. I used to work at a window making company and I remember cutting myself all the time. One day, a piece of glass slid across my hand and it *felt* like it cut me to the bone. It instantly recoiled and in such a manner that it drew attention and I was actually momentarily frozen and didnt want to look. Turns out, it was a tiny scratch. I had been cut way worse before and since. You see that sometimes with hockey players where they get a skate blade across their arm or leg...they immediately think the worst but it ends up being fine. I'd give him the benefit of the doubt.
  19. The thing is, if she were stealing she'd change more than one or two words. Again, when we're talking about her shows, she has staff writers so you can discount that any of them took material. But comedy is a tough thing...there are styles and premises that will be similar with different takes. I've heard different comedians tell the same joke before. Im sure it happens all the time. There are movies that have the same general premise and similar lines or characters. Why would comedy be different? There are millions of comedians out there.
  20. Hopefully someone awesome falls to the jets with chicago's pick too. Could have three picks in the top 31. Top 35 at worst probably
  21. No. Do some more research. There is lots more info out there. And no proof of anything
  22. Im sure I read somewhere tjay warm weather isn't actually a problem. I think they had an outdoor game in vegas when it was 20 degrees. But it's third weekend in October. So it could go either way but probably 5-10 degrees Id guess...?
