  1. My post is about Swiston not Myddleton, because I know nothing about him other than he's a National OL.

I seem to recall hearing Walters talk about Swiston last year. He basically said that Swiston has battled with injuries since college, and has never had a full off season to train proprely, it's always been cut short by rehab, which is part of the reason he keeps getting hurt.

I believe that they are keeping him for insurance this year, and will give him a full off season to train proprely, and if he's not good enough, then he'll be cut.

    Just my theory...

  2. I don't feel bad for that organization at all and their QB woes. If they would have just actually developed someone under AC they'd have a QB now. Instead, they held on to players that never seemed to be in their long term plans, and never gave anybody playing time. I remember there were a bunch of games where the Als had the game in the bag and AC finished the game. Perfect time to give a developing QB playing time, but nope, AC needed to pad his stats.

Bryant Turner should have been in Winnipeg. There was zero reason for him to stay for 1 week. Like Troy Westwood say. You are different than a professional athlete. Almost 90% of the pro athletes actually miss the birth of their child to play in a game. Some even miss a meaningless game in MLB or NBA where as a CFL game has way more importance. Chris Walby said it best. Plan to have a child outside of football season. And that is the truth. It's like if you have a regular job that you know in the fall you will be busy. Majority of people would plan that. In fact isn't that just a basic life lesson to plan the birth of your child?

I don't have kids, want kids or even really like kids, and with that said, your ignorance is absolutely astounding.

Well that is a bit rude calling it ignorant. Do you feel the same way when everyone says the same thing? or just me? Cause I think it's safe to say everyone in professional sports feels the same way. The kid was born last week not yesterday.

We are learning lots about Mike O'Shea. If he doesn't comment he probably agrees. And MOS didn't come out and say it was ok for him to miss the game. He even said last week that ''OH BRYANT WILL BE HERE OF COURSE'' so you know MOS is upset with him.

From an article earlier in the week.

Head coach Mike O’Shea says family takes precedence over football.

“I’m quite comfortable letting him know he needs to take whatever time he needs to take with his family,” O’Shea said, Wednesday. “It’s important. He’s going to play football for a long, long time. And this is once, maybe twice, maybe three — I don’t know how many kids he’s going to have... as a group we’re all very supportive of that idea.”

  4. If they work him out and they like what they see, then I have no issue with it. If our QB was Ray, Durant, Glenn, Lulay, or Burris I'd say no way. With a QB who is still pretty raw, I'd prefer to surround him with experienced receivers and let him get comfortable back there. Once that happens we can look at some new prospects.

I also think Romby can still be effective. He doesn't have to be a 1000 yard go to receiver, he can help us with a smaller role. I'm still pissed at what he did in 2009, but I can look past that if it helps us win now and brings us back to respectability.
