  1. I'd be very interested in Dave D. as our new HC. He shows me he has extended the smarts he had as a QB into the coaching ranks. Yes, he is offence minded but it's not only his offensive moves, but the obvious smarts he displays in the thinking behind the moves. He strikes me as a man who learns more and more as time moves on. And for DD, this may be the perfect time in his career to move on…to Winnipeg.
  2. I was gonna say, how did Will Ford get on that list? Sheer Will power.
  3. I'm not really a fan of DeMarco and as for short yardage, at one point, for me, it was a battle between DeMarco and Boltus as futile short yardage QBs. As it turns out, DeMarco wins, after many poor attempts, a yard and a half to a foot and a half.
  4. I'd have to agree, Willy should be included in our list of go-afters.
  5. And yet, some would say, his best work is in film.
  6. This year for Matthews NFL = Not Friggin Likely
  7. Without much help, Goltz has been subjected to a lot of you-know-what around here and so he gets my sorry vote. Wish there could have been somebody here who had his back. Those packages they had in for him worked, and then, they were dropped. Whose brilliant idea was that? But we can't really help his non-developed side at this point and with a new regime it's expected he will be left without an invite.
  8. Well Doug, that's a pretty good article. The point I agree with the most is that when Mr. B noticed that some players had checked out, that would have been a good time to have them vacate their rooms Bye, bye, adios. To send a message. To show leadership.
  9. Wasn't necessarily talking about Arash, but there's room for him too. I tried "miller" through unnecessary real news….but it didn't have the same oomph.
  10. I was just starting to write this when your post popped up. We should just have a rumour of the day thread where all the latest juicy gossip has a place to fester and grow. That way we wouldn't have to wade through unnecessary real news.
  11. It is only starting to sound that way because of what's being said on fan boards. The season has just ended and the only moves being made are the ones in rumours from the twitter world and the foggy world of some posters' imaginations.
  12. That can't happen as long as im involved. Not I'm but im, as in improbable.
  13. Look, any coach who believes that Boltus should be playing in more than one game to have evaluated his performance cannot have been trusted to make those same evaluations on Goltz, Elliott and Brink.
  14. Well, no wonder why they need the time to properly evaluate the job he's done.
  15. I believe they already have a good handle of what Burke's opinions are in regards to the Bomber situation. Certainly after the player exit interviews yesterday, they'll even have a better idea. They'll have all the information necessary by today. And for that matter, that's all I want to know, or trust, from Burke. So, therefore, they should execute the execution at dawn..or really anytime today. I definitely agree they don't have to wait 'til the acting titles are removed to act now.
  16. Until you explain where you've heard that from, I guess there's not really much to discuss. I'm not sure where the idea came from but I heard the same thing from Burke's mouth, so it must be on audio somewhere. He did have the players slotted into which players can be starters on which teams and backups etc. I haven't heard of such a system but then, who am I to argue with Burke. I heard Burke say this on the post-game commentary after the last game on CJOB. Bizarre. I'd like to hear more of an explanation to this. Well, you'll be evaluated and slotted into whether you should hear this explanation first hand or whether you should only hear this second-hand, and this could take weeks.

  18. You can lead Mack to Walters but you can't make him think.
  19. Will somebody please explain to Max Hall that the term "hands team" does not relate to throwing the ball at the other team's hands?
  20. Perhaps then, Burke could explain why the offence was so horrible and connect the dots back to Jovon. Yes, he did not play the punts well, but to relate that field position to the putrid display on offence is really stretching it, but I guess it was JJ's turn to inspect the undercarriage of certain vehicles.
  21. Maybe before tonight. The game plan for tonight reminded me of where we were weeks ago, no imagination and reeked of playing it safe. I was beginning to feel we were making progress but we lacked execution to the point of embarrassment. But, finally, it's over. And now the fun begins...
  22. I couldn't understand the overuse of it to the point where it got annoying….and it reminded me of a gong or "ask not for whom the bell tolls". It was too weird.
  23. I don't have to. Last year, I turned it back two hours, just for such an event.
