  1. http://www.winnipegsun.com/2013/10/22/season-of-new-quarterback-in-cfl So yeah, you're choice of words is apropos...random musings.
  2. Interesting, but without any supporting news link, it makes it another "you know what I heard the other day" kind of topic.
  3. Can't get on board with that play-not-to-win scenario. Besides, we got that covered with our present HC.
  4. No problem, got that covered with an Eskimo win over those toothless Lions on Frid. night.
  5. Early in their season and early for Bilukidi, but it's time to keep our eye on young Bilukidi...with a thought for next year? http://www.mercurynews.com/raiders/ci_24372938/oakland-raiders-waive-defensive-lineman-christo-bilukidi - thanks to bunker @EP
  6. Oh Cory Cory Cory, what's the story,......,......., "Ah hey Coach, forgot my wallet, meet you in Toronto. Later man." http://www.winnipegfreepress.com/sports/football/bombers/Watson-forgets-wallet-misses-Bomber-flight-to-Toronto-228982741.html
  7. I'm curious to see if there is anything interesting here to see in this RB/RT and if he is interested in wanting an invite back in 2014. Fannin went undrafted in 2011 after the 2010 NCAA season but caught on with the Denver Broncos where he spent two years (2012-2013). A free agent running back, Fannin had injury problems while in the NFL and spent two full seasons on Injured Reserve after two training camps and was not re-signed by Denver, being released in May 2013. HT:5.11 WT: 226 Birthdate: 1987-12-04 Born: Bamberg, South Carolina College: Auburn
  8. Let's face it...end zone seats are end zone seats and that should be reflected in what they're asking to watch from there. Same with the corners. Besides, what better way for the Org. to move forward and embrace the idea that better pricing opens IGF to more fans and potentially more sell outs.
  9. I don't know, that would require creative thinking. Burke isn't capable of that creative thinking, but Walters is a smart guy. That's true, although i think he would have had him in a Sims-Walker-boot for total effectiveness.
  10. I don't know, that would require creative thinking.
  11. Of course, what else? Bob Irving ‏@BobIrvingCJOB2h Mike sims walker out with knee injury. Aaron kelley takes over vs argos thursday
  12. Agreed, Dreadful was watching our previous QBacking experience where under 10 completions was the norm and 1st downs were something that occurred on our way to two-and-outs. Hall has given us the unexpected benefit of actually moving the ball forward....on purpose. I'm looking forward to seeing further progress this week, but this time hoping a closer eye will kept on some of the hits on Hall.
  13. I know what you're saying and I agree. Having Elliott handle the ball up to the Red Zone, and then having Goltz take over would have solved a few issues. And, oh, Buck only as 3rd string. Ah, hindsight. But it still wouldn't have solved the Qrowton Question, nor the Burke Bias.
  14. It's worthy of note that, on the coach's show, Denmark was pointed out by Irving as being an offensive performer of note, and that Burke credited Bellefeuille with working with Denmark to learn the nuances of being a better receiver in a Canadian style offence. Which of course brings up the question...hello Marcus?
  15. Further to that point, It's noteworthy to point out that Hall was aware of those situations and did not get suffer any sacks. He did suffer though, by getting hit several times after releasing the ball. Only once last week, against Montreal, did he not recognize the extra man and he got rocked. Blocking was marginally better IMO, in handling what Toronto was doing and trying to stop a human caterpillar machine that is K. Mitchell. It's impossible to say for sure, but I believe Goltz would have been sacked and Pierce might have been on a stretcher in those same situations. (and Boltus still wouldn't have gotten 18 inches forward)
  16. Disagree. He's been very consistent this year in Edmnoton. True. It's like an awakening for LaPo. What? You can be creative and effective too?
  17. "And is that GM going to be Kyle Walters, who is currently in the interim role? There are rumblings acting CEO Wade Miller will look for someone else to be the GM," http://www.winnipegsun.com/2013/10/20/bombers-need-extreme-makeover-not-just-a-touchup It goes on to say that Walters can go back to being the Canadian scout if the GM would agree to that work arrangement. That would allow Walters to learn more over a longer period of time. This sounds about right to me.
  18. The problem still remains with Akeem Foster that he has already dropped more balls than young Etienne and still he gets in the lineup. I can't imagine how Etienne must feel towards Burke/Winnipeg when he sees this occurring. It's decisions like that that drive the fan base crazy and one of the reasons to keep calling for his departure. That would be sometime on Sunday, Nov. 3, when our next season actually begins.
  19. milquetoast - timid phantim phan Well, I guess we know which corner you're in.
  20. There's absolutely no truth to the idea that taking a knee and kneeling in an interview are related in any way, shape or form.
  21. Not that you're exaggerating or anything like that.
  22. C'mon, that's like every other QB that have receivers making plays.
  23. Whatever the play call was at that point, it wasn't executed properly. Our receivers were covered and he went to the most viable receiver. I'm more upset that we don't have a play-ready call for that situation. Something that normally isn't accounted for. A type of Pontbriand blocker-release-for-a-short-pass kind of thing. Think Vega TD pass from last year.
  24. You also have to take into consideration that there was a cluster fibble on the previous play and Hall was very upset. I still don't think I would have been upset at either call.
