  1. Rescinding a trade request does not mean he stays with the NYI. It means he's not pushing openly for a trade. It doesn't mean Garth isn't shopping him.
  2. That would be as "Winnipeg style" as you could get.
  3. Just wear your 80's Bombers jersey from the 1980's. If anyone bugs you that it's tight or too small, just tell them the athletic cut is in right now.
  4. It may have been. But when I clicked on the link, it went to the page with the previously linked image. Weird.
  5. Saw this on Facebook. Did they leak more of the jersey? Was this intentional?
  6. Glen Johnson explained a lot at the "You Make the call" presentation last night. These changes will hopefully help increase player safety (especially for linemen), reduce penalties (6.4 procedures/offsides per game last year, new 3 point stance rules will eliminate procedures), reduce overall game time (averaged 2h52 in 2015, NFL averaged 3h17, baseball is even longer) with less penalties and less referee huddles (by central talking to refs after plays are done such as who jumped, etc), and let teams better challenge punt returns in regards to blocking and no yards. He stated that it took defensive players 3/4 of the season to adapt to the new 5 yard contact rule. He compared that to hooking/hacking changes in the NHL which took 2 to 3 years for players to adapt. I was quite impressed with his presentation yesterday.
  7. I wish we had the Navy and Gold again. ^^^first person to say this^^^ ^^^maybe the only^^^ ^^^hahahaha^^^
  8. Matthews Year 1 or Year 2? He never compared to Bowman's blocking.
  9. "But if this was entirely a personnel issue, Mike O’Shea would’ve never fired Bellefeuille in the first place. Although I believe any accusations against a lack of “creativity” from Bellefeuille would be false, an argument could be made regarding predictability, game-planning and in-game management. In this case, Bellefeuille was perhaps less adequate as an actual play-caller than play-designer." IMO, the above quote is the biggest part of Bellefeuille's failure: Predictability, thin playbook, lack of in-game adjustments during Q1/Q2, and horrible at reacting to the other teams half time adjustments in the 2nd half. PS our down field blocking has never been the same after we released Adarius Bowman. It was amazing how many catch-and-run big plays we had when he was here, and how many of those plays he blocked his defender right into their own end zone.
  10. Every player will have a moment that signifies the end of the road with a team. Pension, salary, age, and change of coaches spell the end for many NFL players. I wonder what will be Mulumba's. Or Bilukudi's.
  11. And this is year 4 in the NFL, which is the last year that Doug Brown tried the NFL career thing.
  12. FWIW, Doug Brown was selected 5th overall in 1997. In 2000, the Stamps traded his rights to the Bombers. He signed with the Bombers and started playing in the CFL in 2001, at the age of 26 (turning 27 in Sept). Andy Mulumba was drafted 2nd in 2013 draft. He is currently 26, unsigned in the NFL, and the Bombers still own his rights. I see a parallel here...
  13. Back to the original topic, I've sat in Section 234 Row 17, Section 228 Row 5 and now Section 229 Row 6. The views are pretty good from all locations. The camera man issues on the West Upper deck were resolved with the low slung cameraman seats. The fans are great on our side of the stadium. I decided to move to row 6 as that row on our side (in section 228) had great legroom. Hopefully section 229 is the same as 228.
  14. Along with Shawarma Khan and Pizza Hotline, the stadium has a lot of selection vs other stadiums that I've been to: 1. Clay Oven (SW corner, Main Concourse, my personal favourite) 2. Sliced Beef on Bun (NW Corner, Main Concourse) 3. BBQ (NE Corner, Main Concourse) 4. Salsbury House 5. Burgers, Chicken Burgers, Hotdogs, Chicken Fingers, Fries, (Upper Decks, multiple locations) 6. Turkey Legs
  15. 2-way contract. $10K per game in NHL vs $1K per game in AHL...
  16. This thread is not intended to be a complaint section, but an idea generator for our football club to improve the fan experience at the games. What can they improve on to speed up the process (bussing, parking, entry, beer lines, food lines, cash machines, water fountains, "beer people", washrooms, etc). Let's try and think outside the box people... On the Upper Deck West side, I think we can improve the experience with: - Bussing has been good to Hydro on Pembina. I can't complain. Betting lighting on the sidewalks (or less trip hazards) would help with flow. - Dedicated drink vending beer locations (no food, no extras, just drinks). The lines are too slow. - Stadium Food booths: One runner per cashier as cashiers can't take money while looking for food/drinks. Long delay food should have its own location. - Label washrooms doors with "Entrance" and "Exit". There are too many backwards movers. Garbage cans should be put after the paper towel dispensers, not before. - More water filling stations (or better flow), and a better description of when sealed bottled water is allowed in (sometimes okay, some say warm days, what does warm days mean exactly?)
  17. I had friends that got moved up. I'm sure they would have felt better knowing they had seats for the game, instead of thinking their seats were now the stairwell. That sounds like quite the petty problem. Boo hoo, someone paid less for something than me. It happens everyday. Honestly, I was at the game, the weather was great, and the game was close. How could it not have been a great grey Cup?
  18. Anyone remember last year when we went on that big run to get into the playoffs?
  19. http://www.thesnap.ca/roughriders-unveil-new-mosaic-stadium-rider-football-facility/ Looks good, but I'm still waiting for the Dire Straits "Money for Nothing" animated characters to show up part way through the video.
  20. Cronin. Slowest player on NHLPA 92 on SEGA Genesis from what I remember. Maybe he could have a tilt with Semenko.
  21. Forwards Selanne - Zhamnov - Tkachuk Smail - Hawerchuk - MacLean Arniel - Steen - Mullen King - Olczyk - Domi 70's "The Hot Line" for a couple of shifts Missing: McBain, Boschman, Elyniuk Defense Olausson - Ellett Numminen - Housley Carlyle - Babych Missing: Kyte, Taglienetti, Cronin, Marchment Goaltenders Khabibulin Essensa Reddick Missing: Hayward, Beauregard, Berthiume, Tabaracci
  22. Khari came up at 26 and after backing up QBs for 3 years, broke into the starting role as a Bomber. Add 3 years on to Tebow and he's a 32 year old run first QB. He'd have better luck trying out for the USA national rugby team.
  23. Miami signs defensive lineman from the Canadian Football League. The Miami Dolphins today announced that the team has signed defensive lineman Cleyon Laing to a free agent contract. http://www.miamidolphins.com/news/press-releases/article-1/PRESS-RELEASE-Dolphins-Make-Roster-Move/0a0a3e36-108e-481a-94bc-e2e01bc217bb
  24. He'll be 29 in August. Almost over-the-hill for a rookie QB.
