  1. I hope Moe will be ready for training camp. Anyone have any idea what the time frame for recovery is after achillies surgery? I would think a lot longer that ACL repair (6-8weeks). I had 3 of those and would take that any day over a ruptured achillies.
  2. I’m sure not going to pin all my hopes on Wild and Dressler coming in to rescue the team. I’d be pleasantly surprised if either made to the end of the season without getting injured again. Both seem to be made of glass
  3. Denmark benefited from Adams and Dressler taking on more attention. Without either he becomes very ordinary.
  4. Leggett looked like he was going to toss his cookies on the bench. He appeared like he knew it was serious and he was in shock.
  5. Are rosters frozen or can FAs still be signed?
  6. Totally agree. I’d even prefer they brought back Thorpe despite his sulking. Can the team still bring in players or are the rosters frozen?
  7. Lol is that your opinion? I just was going by my observations from TSN. His throwing hand looked pretty mangled. Bauming is reporting that he is throwing some nice spirals, but some wobblers as well. I guarantee one good smack on a helmet or caught between some pads and he out of the game. That hand is going to be sore and the ball difficult to grip. I’m just thinking that the safer bet would be to prepare Davis as starter on Saturday bc if he has to come in again like that the results will be no different. Again...just my opinion
  8. Just my opinion, but why not just deem Davis starter for this week giving Nichols a week for his hand to heal rather than risking further injury? He’s not going to be 100% this week, but with some rest he could be next week and the final 3 games. Davis practices with the # 1 offence and can develop a better connection with them. The club is risking the season by playing Nichols.
  9. With the trade deadline approaching tomorrow I’m wondering if any of the current injuries are going to play into effect of any consideration of making a move or two. If Flanders is going to be out for some time and Dressler hurt more than he is healthy, do they consider bringing in a receiver or RB? I suppose Hamilton and Montreal are really the only two teams that would want to be moving pieces out at this time. It would be nice to get Lawrence from the ticats. He alone could probably turns things around on D (If Hall would let the dogs loose a bit more). BC and Edmonton have an abundance of receivers, but I can’t see them swinging a trade with Winnipeg. Sure would be nice to have a guy to take the pressure off Adams. Now not sure how crazy of an idea this is, but what about Nik Lewis? He may be playing his last year and Mtl may do him a favour and trade him to a contender(probably Calgary if anywhere) for one last chance at the Grey Cup. Of course he wouldn’t be the type of receiver that is going to stretch the field , but again if Flanders is hurt he may be able to partly fill that void at a relatively cheap price.
  10. What are the chances? What position? I actually could see the club making one or even two trades. This is the year to make a run. Why hold back? The Bombers are arguably one of the two best teams right now. Load up and go for the jugular
  11. Not sure if it was mentioned yet, but Getzlaf was released by Edmonton. Don't think the Bombers would be interested. He's past his best before date and too expensive. Personally I would like to see more of the guys we already have.
  12. Are you referring to Kahlen Branning Nat DB? Isn't he already on the PR? Or are you referring to someone else?
  13. Sorry auto correct on my phone keeps wanting to put Langford. My bad, you are right KR. My point being. Why take Lankford out who has been productive and a threat on returns and on offence? With Dressler out Lankford is the only receiver with wheels on the sweep now that Dressler is out. Has Fogg even come close to breaking through on a PR? Others have looked better back there.
  14. Langford has looked more dangerous on punt returns than Fogg has. I would even dare to say Langford is a better receiver than Fogg is a DB. I'm not even a Langford fan. I wanted Thorpe playing, but that was not going to happen with Langford in the line up.
  15. Im usually of the mindset that receivers are a dime a dozen as well, but Thorpe is a type of receiver that the club does not usually have. I hope this move doesn't bite them in the ass. It's nice to have a good variety of weapons in your arsenal.
  16. I was expecting additions to the team not deletions. The Bombers are doing the exact opposite of the other teams. Got to say that I'm getting pretty nervous
  17. Upper body can mean the head. Concussion? Maybe it's not a physical injury. Perhaps more of an "issue".
  18. Where is Chris Matthews now? It sure would be nice to see him in Bomber colours again.
  19. No need to worry about my panties. I'm more of a commando type guy, but thanks. I drink my fair share of a bit of everything. Lol
