It's only spearing if the ball carrier is engaged with another defender. Greenwood was the only one making a tackle. I'm not sure they call head contact on anyone that isnt a qb. Edit...Just saw the replay on TV, and I was wrong. TO player was being tackled before Greenwood came in.

All I do is grab 1 beer after the game. Walk to the car. Wait in the line to get out for about 5-10 minutes and then I'm home. I live next to polo. It takes us 20-30 minutes to get home from the time we get into our vehicle. I'd challenge anyone to get to polo from u of m faster during any time of the week. Getting in and out excuse is legit people who went once or twice during year 1 and haven't been back. It's just not an issue anymore.

I completely disagree. The result of the play is the only thing that matters. I might give him a break if the defender made an outstanding tackle that resulted in a fumble...but that was a bad play all on him, it was grounds for getting cut bad. He's living on borrowed time right now.

This, plus I feel like maybe their giving Lawler another shot to either show up, or he'll be shipped out. Guy has had opportunities to make plays and just hasnt. Which is too bad, I like his style of play but it just hasnt worked out very well yet.

I agree. Though I dont think it's catering to cheapskates. There are loads of entertainment options now, compared to years ago. And less expendable money going around. More and more people just cant afford to go. I've been saying it for years, CFL needs to start coming down in price or the attendance will suffer.

Just to clarify, Matthew's deep ball didnt require him to dive, unless I'm forgetting one. He was hit almost in stride...had to slow up a bit...but caught it standing up and was tackled hard to the ground causing his helmet to fall off.

This. I don't know what team people are watching. But I'm seeing a decent offense that sputters more often then not and a defence that can not stop anyone but the riders. They are pretenders. Coaching will get them above 500 but right now they are easily 3rd in the west, and 5th overall.

4-0, while not firing on all cylinders for 60 minutes would have me concerned if it was currently October, but its July. I dont want them to be their best in July.
