2019 CFL Season: Around the League
Not quite. Hes been dealing with a tricep injury for a few weeks. Just letting him heal up. Not a performance issue.

Considering that tweet is from Sunday night, it's safe to assume it's about the loss.

Chris Streveler - Has your opinion changed?
I blame everyone. Including you! And the CBC! Cause I want a game where Walby does the pbp. If he was calling it Sunday. They would have won!

He's also Hamiltons starting QB. He's not going anywhere.

Regular Season Bomber News
I suppose. I always tend to play my cards close and MOS is the same. Why give out info if you don't have to. Look at what has happened with CGY. There were a few weeks where you didn't know who would start. Was Mitchell ready? Was he coming back? IF Streveler starts lighting it up, and Nichols is done for the year, but you don't announce it, it could lead to a similar situation. Making teams at the very least think about it. And maybe spend some time reviewing film on Nichols/preparing for him in practice. After the 6 games, you announce it's week to week. Just gives the other team something to think about.....but If you announce that he's done. That's never going to happen. Does it make a difference? Likely nothing substantial, but there's always that chance that they spend time on Nichols, and miss something on Streveler. Football is a game of inches in almost every way. Little advantages that don't look significant at all, can play a big part in having success. Sure it's far fetched. But not completely out of the realm of possible. And MOS never seems to right off things that are far fetched.

Exactly. I don't take what MOS says about Nichols as a denial about him being done for the year. Remember how Neuf was going to be ready for week 1? I wouldn't be surprised at all to hear Nichols is done for the year. It would also be stupid for MOS to reveal that information at this time.

Chris Streveler - Has your opinion changed?
All Streveler has to do to win Saturday is not turn the ball over. He plays just as well as he did last week, minus those INT and its a Bomber W.

Chris Streveler - Has your opinion changed?
I honestly think he might be.

Chris Streveler - Has your opinion changed?
For me, the only way I'd move on from Nichols is if Streveler plays the rest of the year, AND wins the GC. Every other scenario I hope they try to get both back, or at least upgrade from Nichols.

Chris Streveler - Has your opinion changed?
Even then, it'd be too early to say this. Masoli looked like hot garbage, k maybe not hot Garbage. But certainly not someone who was ready to lead a time, his first few years as a CFL qb. I won't be ready to write Streveler off until year 4 at the earliest. He's a serviceable back up until then at the very least.

Neither are "sitting". If they aren't practicing it's because they're banged up.

I don't think Lapo is here next year anyways.

Chris Streveler - Has your opinion changed?
My thoughts exactly. He went into one of if not the hardest regular season game for the bombers and almost pulled it off. Only 1 qb has been a part of that in the last 15 years or so. He basically did what Nichols would have (maybe nichols puts up another 50 passing) and added some mobility. He didn't look like a world beater. But certainly gave me reasons to be optimistic about his future. He needs time. And maybe an offence that can utilize his skills a bit better.

Chris Streveler - Has your opinion changed?
This didn't change anything for me. Streveler is a young guy with loads of talent. Just needs more experience. Took a sack due to lack of experience. Threw two ints because of it. And missed Demski/lucky (though he threw it to Demski) behind coverage because of it. The sack that he took, the huge hit deep in our own end. He needs to see that before the snap. They didn't hide it. And the RB took the guy coming up the middle, which is correct. The first pick should have been a throw away. The coverage was tight, he just tried to force it. The second int was maybe lack of experience AND bad play call. No look pass, against a D that's really moving up...ugh all around on that one. And that deep play to Demski that was called for PI should have been 6. He throws that ball a second earlier and it is. It was under thrown because by the time he saw it the pocket had collapsed and he couldn't step into it. Again, a vet would have seen it and thrown it up early very much like Mitchel did during the stamps game.

It also got them to 8-2 so I'm good with it.

He was only here because of injuries. End of story. Not sure why anyone would be surprised by this.

Matthews has signed in MTL.

There is no helping them. My best advice is to lock them in a room and pretend they don't exist.
