In fairness some people are complete morons and drift in two lanes while completely focused on their cell phones. I understand the reasons it's just unfortunate that some people really make it hard to defend cell phone usage while driving. I would like to see the police enforce more distracted driving outside of cell phone usage... when driving on the very slow Portage Ave trying to cross Main I tend to see some really weird stuff where people are clearly not paying attention. In the last while I've seen several times people typing on a laptop in the passenger side , ladies doing make up, reading books, and my favorite which I will never complain a couple of ladies trying on different tops while crawling in rush hour. That last one was the only time I did not complain about waiting at a set of lights 3 times in order to cross

I'm not voting based on Brodbeck being a loud mouth. I do find overall the Yes people are much more "annoying" because they are doing the old shout louder to prove that they are correct. I find a lot more close mindedness with the Yes folks who don't like hearing both sides of the argument. The advertisements are also soooo lame on the radio .. I'd be much more open to changing my mind if they were honest and wouldn't use terrible arguments to back them up. Telling me my drive will only be 20 seconds longer , suggesting that their is an issue with handicap people crossing the intersection, suggesting that people would go downtown because the intersection will be easier to cross, suggesting that people will walk from the Forks all the way down to the intersection and then head to Portage place... that crap instantly makes me roll my eyes and realize that it's all crap. I'd respect Bowman more if this was a part of a complete transformation of downtown such as zero-tolerance pan handling & drunk in public , clean out the drug dealers, new ideas for better traffic flow, closing Portage Place mall, buy out the crappy drinking places for the bums etc....

I find my friends equally distracted when trying to find music in the car... For myself I have a smart watch to check my messages and for me to be distracted....

It's not a bad idea, what I wish would be for all buses to avoid going down Portage... the amount of times they cross into Portage from one of the side streets and then end up blocking 3 - 4 lanes is ridiculous. It definitely would help the flow since from that alone I have to sit at least 2 - 3 extra sets of lights during rush hour...

This all makes sense now! They open Portage and Main to slow down traffic even more.... they then have a bunch of policemen dressed as civilians busting everyone for texting while waiting 10 minutes to cross the intersection.... it all makes sense

All the experts rave about our depth and how tough it is that we can't play them all.

I think Bighill is going to get paid at any costs to come back. I think Chung will also get paid. Hopefully by us! I agree on Randle being gone... Leggett will be tough to cut if he is healthy.

Floyd - This happens every season... fantasy trades and over reactions. Usually mid way through the season we like to pick a few players who are the main reason (even if they only play 5 minutes a game) for why the Jets are losing. Usually a guy like Mark Stuart who barely plays but is blamed for all our woes. This season it will be Kulikov or maybe Ehlers might get blamed for not notching 30 goals....

Streveler has a big arm , did anyone not watch the games he started? Lots of zip and can toss a 30 yard pass effortless (unlike Nichols).

If the underground were to be closed that would be catastrophic during winter time and many food businesses would get a hit. Many a times I walked underground comfortably to the food court or to city place and hit up the food court there. I would not do this at all if I was forced to bundle up and go outside.

Nicholls looked more comfortable and was actually going through his reads... this is what made me feel better. Regardless of the stats he wasn't making stupid throws into double coverage and at times checked down his receivers and tossed the ball away.

Most of the people wanted Nichols on the bench when he clearly was rattled and not playing good at all. It still would of been good to give Streveler a few quarters during the losing streak just to see if he could jump start the offense.

I can't see them completely closing it down though... the amount of people using the underground during work hours is really high and that would be a major impact if it were to go away. I think they fix it.

Yes because most fans brush off the idea of losing 2 more o-linemen , qb locking in and missing targets, receivers dropping balls, qb getting hit on every play... I'm sure none of this is concerning going into the playoffs....

Maybe I'm not understanding this but are they suggesting to completely close up Winnipeg Square instead of doing the repairs? Or is this only the barricades on the outside?
