  1. O'Shea who is loyal to a fault to his players.... I would assume is loyal to this club. I'd be absolutely blown away if he left us for Toronto. He's not that type of guy.
  2. I only casually watched the first half but Darby Jr should be cut the moment that game ended. Ian Wild also needs to hang them up... whiffed numerous times. The Argos kick coverage is putrid. Only shitty part of this game is that the Rider fans heads will swell so big thinking Fajardo is the next BLM...
  3. That panarin contract yikes!
  4. Riders win in a landslide ... At least by 15 points
  5. I don't get comparing QBs against each other. It's not like Reilly or Nichols has any impact on each other. Nichols has been average no doubt about it. Any qb can hand the ball off to Harris or toss a screen pass to Whitehead who then deeked out 5 guys to make the TD. Thankfully we have great special teams and I'd say a great defense. So we only need Nichols to play at a C level to win most games. If an opposing team gels and can take advantage of our defense. Then clearly Nichols is not the type to put the team on his back and win the game for us. For now it's good enough. Clearly if we had Reilly or Harris as our QB that our offense would be much better. But with the price tag they take then we wouldn't have Bighill and Jefferson. I'll take a mediocre QB and two all star defense over an all star an and a bunch of fringe players surrounding him.
  6. I don't think Nichols is anywhere near Willy post beatdown. I'd just feel more comfortable if he could string several 10-20 yard passes in a row. Watching Harris and Masoli, it feels like they can chew up the middle of the field with ease while we struggle. Whoever said Streveler was inaccurate is out to lunch. Nichols is more accurate on the long bombs but the short and medium Chris can actually throw a bullet and hit a guy in stride.
  7. Montreal was really really bad on kick coverage and tackling. Same goes with the tackling in the secondary... everyone was bouncing off and breaking tackles on them. Masoli was very hot and cold, he tossed some terrible low percentage passes but also found lots of wide open guys and hit them on the mark. I'd like to see Hamilton against a real team.
  8. So much more then simply pointing out to the TD totals also though. In the last 5 minutes everyone on Edmonton was dropping passes that were hitting them in the mitts. Many more factors then passing and TDs. The old eye test is what I think is the best and Nichols struggled mightily and went stone cold way to often. If our *defense* comes back down to earth we will be a middle of the pack team. I only wish the coaches had given Streveler at least a few series after Nichols was clearly playing like crap.
  9. I think Nichols would of helped his image had he been able to put together a few drives in the 4th quarter and if he wasn't so easy to turtle up and shut down with the slightest pressure.
  10. In fairness Maas did also call some boneheaded plays. I liked when Dunigan called him out on 3rd and long doing a shotgun snap hand off.
  11. I'm glad you brought that point up. I thought our d-line was doing a great job of pushing them back but from my eyes everyone was getting held both this week and week one.
  12. I thought Jefferson was getting good pressure the last two games. I think the sacks will be coming shortly.
  13. Everyone crapping on Trevor Harris.... he was rushed quite a lot tonight and he made something out of nothing at least 3 - 5 times from what I saw. If our d-line was playing against a QB like Nichols they would of had easily 5 more sacks.
  14. Any word on what injury Olivera has? It looked bad on tv....
  15. Lucky Gaitor Rose HH - The D-line Bozos of the game - Harris and Fenner
  16. Last season he was definitely locking in on guys.... seems to be doing it again this year.
  17. I just finished watching the game on the PVR.... That cute play Lapo called on 2nd and short completely killed our momentum. Nichols was off after that, he had time in the 2nd quarter and completely whiffed on his passes. Also why did they not pick on whoever was covering Matthews.... it was a huge size mis match. Harris had his worse game as a Bomber... th ankfully Ellingston had his worst game to even things out. I thought the d-line had a tonne of pressure and Gaitor was really solid tonight. Fenner looks lost... lots of whiffed tackles and playing catch up. I'll take the win but I'm concerned about Nichols and the offense. I would of liked to have seen Streveler given the ball in the 2nd quarter and 4th quarter when Nichols was really turtling and doing nothing. At least Streveler can bull doze and run for a few yards rather then turtle.
  18. But it's not all about playing safe... we had full momentum and a nice lead and they call that bull **** 2nd and short play that completely turned the game around on us.
  19. My concerns are that Harris thrives in the medium passes hitting receivers in stride. Our soft zone gives me concern as the receivers will be open and unless we get massive pressure he will pick us apart. Last season his two games against us he had 361 and 349 yards passing!
  20. Dickenson doesn't look overwhelmed to me, frustrated more so from what I saw. Claybrooks looked overwhelmed and in over his head IMO.
  21. Myers will easily get that kind of money... now Tanev at 4 million... that I don't think will happen.
  22. Long story short.... team needs to extend Streveler big time!!!
  23. Maybe the riders are not the worst team
  24. A bit easier to beat BC knowing that they won't run. We did not know this in week one until after the first half.
