Chevy has/had no cap space to buy good d-men though. Had Buff said he retired or quit... they could at least have the 7 million or whatever he makes to go out and buy some guys. When you're up against the cap you can only afford journeymen defense.....

The league said it was a clean hit.... that being said Tkachuk is learning a lesson that poking the bear to many times will land you in a heap of trouble. It's called pushing his luck to far.

The NFL is loaded with athletes though, he's not *that* freakish in his athletic abilities. If it was all about being a great athlete then Whitehead would still be in the NFL.

Completely agree... if anything Maurice is getting more out of this team then many others would. I also dont fault Chevy.... it's not his fault that Buff really screwed them over. Had we the extra cap space... we would of been able to retain Myers and picked up another guy on D to help with the depth.

I didn't say the guy wasn't a good athlete or a warrior.... but I'm skeptical that he out shines a tonne of talent who are much further ahead at other positions then he is. It's great for us (the CFL) bad for him.

Would any other coach improve the crap we have on defense? This is a clear issue with lack of talent on the D.

I don't see Strev making it down south.... it's not like he lit up the league up here with his passing. He's to raw to play receiver / tight end.... I see him back and with a long CFL career.

This is what was funny about it coming to Winnipeg..... people made such a big deal but it's so average in flavour and what made it good in the States is how dirt cheap it was.... those prices did not carry over to Canada.

Many players would rather be able to go out and do something in their spare time.... The adulation is a bonus but not something that will sway players.

I caught only the last match and last promo. Jim Ross sounds completely checked out, Tony S still has it. I also agree that the last promo had to much dead air .. needed a bit more build up and less spraying of the bubbly. Otherwise it was good and the crowd liked it.

I found after Zack and Miri and after he lost weight and tried to become mr weed man he has been absolutely god awful. The original movies were great though, low brow humour but they had good stories and some really good jokes.

Adarius Bowman and Chris Matthews were also players that were 100% committed and once ready will make a big impact with the club as per O'Shea.... I don't read to much into this.

I would assume that the qb coach wouldn't have much in the say of if we are bringing back Nichols or Zach. I'm surprised that Pierce hasn't been promoted as of yet. Perhaps they are looking at someone else at OC....

Based on his stats from last season it seemed like he either puts up a monster game or terrible numbers. We will see how he adapts to a new system...
