The end of the line for Pool-party?

I thought the issue was that he was addicted to video games, didn't want to play under the Maurice system (i.e. couldn't be a cherry picker), and wanted top dollars.

I just beat Indiana Jones and the Great Circle, I think the story in this game might even surpass Raiders of the Lost Ark for the best Indiana Jones of all time. It's that good. It absolutely blows away the last two garbage movies by a long mile. A must play for anyone who likes games and Indy.

Ricky Henderson dead at 65. Good lord... Not sure what happened but that's way too young. One of the greatest leadoff men in MLB history. Not just fast but an intelligent base runner...
Best lead off hitter of all time, nobody is touching that stolen base record.

Has the league ever banned a player for being dangerous?

How tacky is it for a 3 billion dollar club for pretending to give a kid a PS5 and then taking it back. Why would anyone in the organization think that would be a good idea?
-
I'm not sure if this is still the case, but 15 - 20 years ago the club used to pay for housing i.e. players stayed at hotels for free with teammates as roommates and the team would cater food during practices/gameday any day they were at work. They also had deals in place with some local companies that would supply vehicles, discounts at restaurants, other perks. Back then their was no issues with players making sufficient money to live.
Quite a stark contrast to Goldeyes players who were making peanuts and usually living at strangers houses during the season. Almost like super fans would adopt players and allow them to stay at their houses rent free. Our admin was doing this as recent as 5 years or so ago.

Would love reviews on this one too. Ever since Famous Dave's went to crap (maybe it is better now? last time I went it was garbage) I have been looking for a new BBQ fix.
The last time I went (Summer of 2023) the service was extremely slow , the food wasn't good, and the portions were shrunk massively. My two sides were served each in bowls that were nearly as small as the little paper cardboard ketchup bowls that you get at McDonalds. Post COVID each time we had gone we had terrible service waiting 45 minutes+ despite the restaurant only having a few patrons. I will say the catering experiences were really good with them and each time we have used them for parties it has been a big hit.

I think that was Smoking Hawg at Harbour View? That was the first and only BBQ restaurant that I've gone to not have french fries or chicken tenders. We went once and the food was bland and they only had one bbq sauce that you could use. The meat was cooked perfectly though. It closed quickly because harbour view is basically a ghost town and parking in winter is a nightmare (5+ minute walk).
Loveys was great when the main owner was in, when he wasn't in the quality seemed to drop off sharply. They had a bunch of kids in the kitchen and if memory serves me correct lots of complaints about the owner constantly rotating staff and mistreating them. Either way Loveys was always busy when we used to go and seemed to be successful since everyone I knew would go and liked it.

Has anyone gone to Belle's Kitchen and Music Hall yet? I had a coworker who went and said the portions were tiny and the food was super bland. It would be nice to have real BBQ without having to drive to Steinbach.

The low scores across the board sans Hamilton on nutrition and diet fascinate me being that these men are professional athletes. Is this a cost issue?
I thought Wade bragged about feeding the guys good meals?

You lost me at Dunigan. Hey everyone has a right to their opinion but Ham was not a better Qb than Dunigan .....
Would you rank Zach over both of them?

Live sporting events are what streaming giants crave right now. WWE not exactly a sport, sort of but live weekly entertainment signed 10 years 5 billion with Netflix. I’d imagine cfl might be something one of them would have interest in.
WWE has global appeal.... CFL has an extremely small niche audience that would only appeal to a small country. Apples and oranges comparison.
Pickleball probably is more desireable for a streaming service then the CFL.

In all likelihood he will have a number of very restrictive conditions placed on his release and he will be placed on the national/international sexual offenders list. All this means that his having any sort of professional career is gone and he will probably have to report to police any change of address. He is not scot-free by any means. FYI: virtually all offenders were victimized as children, which does not give them any licence, And not all victimized children become abusers.
Is he rotting in a jail cell with other inmates who do not take kindly to child predators? The answer is no... so he is off scott free.
It is only my opinion, what he did is more close to the severity of murdering as compared to someone selling drugs or tax evasion.

Once again the Canadian justice system lets everyone down. At least give the guy a full year of jail so he can at least get the beats from fellow inmates more then a few times...

I think Collaros is (and has been for years) is closer to that scenario than Masoli is.
Masoli has played 17 games in the last 3 seasons compared to Zach playing nearly 60 games. Masoli is glass at this point.
I'll take MBT who can at least take a sack and get up and continue playing.
-
In regards to Masoli. I'd rather not have a guy who is one light hit away from ending his career. I don't think that they will be bringing in any other veteran QB's next season.

What exactly are you hoping for? Every player to be a stud? It doesn't happen EVER. To get a couple quality starters a year through recruitment is very good recruitment. To get 2 quality starters and another 2-3 players that are showing that they have quality starter potential is even better. 1000 yard receiver, shut down DB, and a productive NAT rookie receiver is a pretty darn good year. Add Wheatfall, Ayers, and Woods to that mix (all players that flashed a high ceiling) and I really have no idea what you are complaining about.
The only areas we have recruited well is receiver and DB. It shouldn't be this damn difficult and two + years to find anyone on the d-line who can outplay a pylon like Jake Thomas. We shouldn't have to trot out a completely shot lber like Bighill and only replace him once he's hurt himself. We shouldn't have to rely on a guy like Kyrie Wilson who is a band aid. Back in the day they had a dline with Jeffcoat, Nevis, Stove, Kongbo, and where a guy like Roh was the depth and he himself would get 6 - 8 sacks per year. Jake Thomas was 8 years younger and was purely depth and yet somehow him being much older now equals him being our starter? All of those guys are way better then anyone not named Willie that was on our d-line this past year.
Maybe we have talent in other areas and the coaches are not playing them (i.e. oline) but it is concerning that guys who are clearly on the decline like Neufeld are not being pushed out.
Why didn't they try out more guys at returner? Clearly Whitehead isn't the same anymore, why not cut him after it failed and bring in new faces who could be dynamic and explosive and make a difference? Why waste a spot on Josh Johnson and Lucky Whitehead when they could bring in I'd assume dozens of guys who could receiver and return?
Why couldn't they find a punter? Our punter was last in the league for average and by a decent margin. Another odd stat is that he was the only punter that had 0 singles. Which leads me to believe that he never had the leg power to coffin kick it in the corner.
This team is aging and struggling to reload. In our prime we had years where we had to make "tough" decisions on who to cut in training camp. The last three training camps it seems like they have all been a joke and we haven't had to make a "tough" cut in a long while. This is concerning for me. God forbid that Brady gets hurt because I think with this current iteration that one big injury like that equals 5 - 6 less wins in the season.

I do wonder how many other teams constantly bring back training camp fodder like we do
it seems like it’s happening more and more often in the past year or so
Maybe as fans we are just tired or over exposed to over analyzing everything? On this board it feels like the fans are much less excited with the new faces that we bring in. Then again when they waste a full year of a roster spot for a navy seal with zero upside and a zero college career and comparing that to the not so long ago past when we would bring in guys who at least had size or speed and/or a great college career... it is concerning.
-
Ok I guess my point was incorrect as one player showed well and the 20 other players they rotated in and out were extremely mediocre.

Well let's hope it's successful so it can come here as well so I can experience it since I never got to when it was here
If you go to Grand Forks/Fargo they have Paradiso's which is the same tex-mex food that Chi Chi's used to serve.
The Chi-chi's on Regent Ave used to be very busy and very successful back in the day. I remember always having to wait for a table and the free taco chips and salsa and everyone 'wow'ing over the sizzling fajitas that were being served. I do remember it being a good experience with good food. Eventually the owner sold it at its peak and the new owners had no clue how to run a restaurant and within 2 years they lost their franchise and renamed it to a different Mexican name and then closed shop not much later.
I'm always amazed that nobody has set up a Tex-Mex shop since then.

Whats Andrew Harris doing these days? Isnt he coaching football somewhere?
Maybe he'd like to try being our OC. At least we know Brady would get the ball, lol.
I would think Harris would need to be slowly brought into a role of an OC and I can't imagine his ego allowing him to be a RB coach or receivers coach for a few years beforehand.
I'm not sure if Buck was the problem or if it was ZC tossing high risk throws that resulted in our issues last season. I'm not sure it was designed by Buck for Zach to throw it into triple coverage. I guess we will find out next season.
All things considered...

Last season I didn't feel like our team was ever dominant. Even when we were struggling in the previous seasons we still had guys who could create turnovers and where the team could put away others with grinding them down on O. Last year we didn't have big play makers showing up game in and game out (Brady being the exception).
