  1. Strev has out played Zach this season and has higher upside and has a much smaller salary. Zach was terrible last season as well. Zach is pushing himself out of a job.
  2. I'm sure this quote will be used against us again later in the season. While I don't mind "going for it", I'm a bit hesitant when for the most part the lead was gained by special teams/defense and where up until that point they had very little success in the pass game.
  3. Riders are doing great for now, Harris tends to get hurt once the weather gets a bit cooler and his production then tanks. We will see how things go.
  4. Upon watching the condensed game , I don't understand giving up fully on Strev. His mobility is gone but he was able to throw short, medium, and an innaccurate deep ball. I don't see any issues with his arm. I saw zip and he had a few nice short passes that were feathered into the receivers arms. The three ints were not awful as well. The first int happens to every QB in the league, it happens. 2nd int was a bit of bad luck and being only slightly off on his throw. The 3rd was a jump ball in which if we had Carlton Agudosi at receiver it would of been a TD. It wasn't a Zach like interception where he tosses a ball into triple coverage for no good reason at all. I'd like to see 4 - 5 games with Strev as the starter to see what we have. If he fails then at least we know the move on from him.
  5. Are the QB's making smart decisions, putting the ball where the receiver can make the play, and/or reading defenses at all? I say that is a big no (more so with Zach) so I would say the QB is the primary reason we are having issues. This isn't a case of a QB tossing a ball and it bouncing off receivers chests because they are inept.
  6. Strev has always had that same weird delivery. The issue is that in his first stint he was decisive and made quick reads and also was able to roll out of the pocket to buy more time. He can still be a good qb with no legs.
  7. Jarious Jackson could take over as OC.
  8. I don't blame the team for moving on from Dru Brown at that time Zach was still playing really well. What I don't get is that extension in the off season... last year Zach was terrible (outside of the Edmonton game) and they gave him another year before seeing if he was going to bounce back? What makes it double dumb is we have Strev who I "assumed" was going to take over for Zach , so delaying the transition for another year? IMO this season should of been a season where Zach takes less snaps and Strev gets more play time. If Zach came back and lit up the league with an MOP season then we pay him the money. If he plays like how he has played so far this season (poorly) the team would officially make Strev our starter now with Zach as the veteran back up insurance. During the off season we offer Zach a nice veteran backup offer and only keep him at a fraction of his cost as veteran backup. Nearly every team is set at QB so if Edmonton were willing to offer him 650 k to start next season then so be it. Sign Fajardo as a back up for $300k an use that money savings from Zach for an all star free agent....
  9. As a casual observer... it just feels like we can't recruit like what we used to recruit. OR O'Shea used to give these new guys a chance and nowdays they are ignored and not given a chance. 3 - 5 years ago every off season we always were worried on what awesome players we are going to lose to free agency. After this season who in the hell is going to sign our free agents (outside of Hamilton)? We have lots of dead weight.
  10. I remember as a kid having a tonne of Ninja Turtles themed - Pizza Flavoured KD... as a kid it was salty delicious. You can make it yourself by making mac and cheese and then adding Kraft pizza sauce into it.
  11. Id say odds of an extension are high
  12. I would say O Shea has less then 10% chance at getting canned this season. It's not happening.
  13. Suitor always brought up how both lines would beat up the opposition and by the 4th quarter we wore them down and would be able to run it down their throats. He still brings this up yet this is no longer true.
  14. Im ok with the Ti Cats winning the cup this season. Don't they have a crazy long drought?
  15. Remember when we moved on from Nichols to Zach... made a difference right away.
  16. The only chance is if a playoff contender loses their starting qb and are desperate for a veteran replacement. But knowing how messed our team has been constructed we would probably trade Strev and watch him light it up and win the cup.
  17. Same went with the Ultimate Warrior.... the wrestler was awesome... the actor was a mess.
  18. Fire Hogan and promote Jarious Jackson to OC?
  19. I don't know of any impact player in the league who is wanting off their current team. Maybe Chad Kelly out of Toronto so they can rid them of any PR issues.... So Zach for Kelly which I'm sure so many people on here would go crazy for....
  20. Nobody believes Hogan with his apologies. When his son got into that crash which left his sons friend paralyzed Hogan tried to make it seem like they were the victims. Hogan has lied so much it's a joke, the dude tells stories where timelines are off by 10+ years or where their is obvious video evidence that it never has happened. The guy has never been sincere and has always beed looked as a grifter, backstabber (ask Jesse Ventura about that) , bad family man, sexual predator, etc... What is odd is that he has had real stories where the guy was genuinely good and nice and helped out people in need. But the lies and bad stories outweigh them by so much. Hogan is such a good guy that he never seen his grand kids and hadn't spoke with his daugther for years because he has been so busy trying to grift the Trump people into buying his beer and other crap. Hulk Hogan the character is/was a legend , but the person playing him is a shyster and very slimey.
  21. When do we officially declare Zach as cooked and done? As I had posted in the other thread last season he had 14 TD and 15 INT's until that Edmonton game which was in September.... this year he's not improved. Are they obligated to pay him next season? I can't imagine it being all the receivers faults and if we require him to only toss deep bombs that are innaccurate then what's the point of paying him a huge salary when we can have anyone else doing the same thing.
  22. It was caught on audio , how is that an opinion of a snowflake?
  23. So how did Zach and Strev play? Was the o line the issue again?
  24. I completely forgot about the game and it appears that they crapped the bed. Can someone do a mini odds and sods to sum things up?
  25. I didn't understand why people during this off season and up until now were downplaying all the other QB's in the league. It's almost like they forgot that last year Zach also sucked and had 17 TD's and 15 INT's..... and up until late September before his big Edmonton game he had 9 TD and 14 INT's... With those numbers it sure was a good idea to extend Zach for another season before figuring out if this season was going to be a bounce back season or not. Imagine how bad the season would of been had we not BO? Some 2024 stats: MBT had 24 TD and 11 Ints on the worst team in the league but he is a crazy man and goofy. Tre Ford had 10 TD and 5 Ints with significantly less play time on the worst team. Fajardo - 16 TD / 7 Ints Maier - 22 TD / 14 Ints Harris - 20 TD / 9 Ints
