  1. Nobody has brought up BA at all. I dont know how to assess his play. But it doesn't seem like he's making any big hits or pass breakups. Anybody been watching him?
  2. O-line definitely wasn't themselves last night. But you're right, Buck played right into the strengths of the BC Lions. They're just a fast team, plain and simple. Not overly physical (especially on the d-line). You have to be able to run the ball against them. We were doing that, and then we stopped. And then we doubled down on not running the ball. And then it was too late. I'm not sure how I feel about Agudosi right now. He could have been that guy to really change the complexion of our passing attack. He isn't making the plays he needs to make. But they also ignore him for most of the game too. And with Bailey...if you're not going to commit to the run, then you're wasting his talents as well. The game plan just stunk. As for our defense, I don't think it's accurate to say that they "nickel and dimed us". They were taking big yards, especially from our corners. At times we were nowhere near them. This is a trend. We weren't getting home (d-ends playing contain on VA) and he was getting the ball out just in time to wide open targets. Darby, Rose, Parker, Houston were all out last night, so I'll assume we can improve a lot here.
  3. Evan Holm ending a lot of relationships with those break-ups
  4. I mean.. If you are saying how bad they are because of how good they are (receivers, RB) then they might not be as bad as the Redblacks. RedBlacks have no weapons. I'm not saying I'm right I'm just saying that I have reasons for thinking the Redblacks are the worst
  5. Bombers, Argos, Lions, Riders, Stamps, Ticats, Als, Elks, Redblacks
  6. Not to mention that the last few years (proven time and time again) that we are a second half team. Especially a 4th quarter team. It isn't exactly crazy that our games are close at halftime.
  7. Stopped watching after the 3rd quarter. Edmonton kept on fumbling away any opportunities they may have had. Cornelius looks cooked. BC is a strong team but I still think we're quite a bit better.
  8. Thus far it looks like the Lions are missing Lucky's ability to stretch the field
  9. I'm inclined to give the OL the 1st star. They were awesome in pass protection which allowed ZC to find a guy every time.
  10. Emilus definitely looked like he had another gear. Then they have KSB. And then Picton and Brescasin. Decent Canadians at that position
  11. Offense getting it done tonight on a team which quite frankly looked to have a pretty formidable defense. Grant...spectacular. Has been lights out for us the past half dozen games but tonight's return was one for the ages. But top player is Evan "Soft Blanket" Holm. No doubter.
  12. I met Rich a long time ago when I was visiting family in Vancouver. We went to a Lions vs Bombers game and I met him at the tailgate. Treated me like ******* royalty. He treated everyone so well. What a great guy. I was mad for a while when I heard that news. A tremendous loss for the CFL community and the world. Anti-LGTBQ idiots can go **** themselves.
  13. While MBT was far from spectacular he knew how to play within himself. Basically managed the Grey Cup game while the Bombers were routinely shooting themselves in the foot. Chad Kelly is a complete wild card. Sure he came in and won the Grey Cup game. All props to him for that. But just wait until teams have film on him.
  14. Muhammed was a "surprise" cut in Calgary this year. I would say he will likely give us more in a year where we are vying for the Grey Cup again.
  15. Winnipeg Toronto, BC Hamilton Calgary Sask, Montreal Edmonton, Ottawa
  16. They're living off of misdirection so far. I thought the Riders would be decent this year. With that o-line... No chance
  17. All the more important to give the fans the dub. Calgary seems to have stopped caring about the Stamps now that they are mediocre. Edmonton showing some love to their team despite how utter **** they've been
  18. Montreal also has questionable talent at receiver. Calgary's receivers are fine. Seriously, Ottawa's plan was to bring in Addison and Evans... Two guys that are walking band-aids? Yeesh
  19. Not saying he's not. But if your top 3 receivers are an injured Acklin, Quan Bray and Nate Behar, what are you supposed to do? 😂
  20. Both teams have decent defense. Ottawa's d line looks especially ferocious. But neither have any weapons on offense
  21. Basically untouched in the first half. Second half he had a bit more pressure but the line was still pretty solid That game clinching sack by Haba was something else. That guy has speed. What a player. I'm excited.
  22. Fairly sure a few of those plays were Houston being in the chase position. The only difference is that Holm has that pure athleticism to recover. So yeah you could slag him for not being in the hip pocket of the receiver. But you don't always have blanket coverage on the double moves. As for the play to Tim White, there was a lot of open field out there and I think he chose to run him out instead of giving White a chance to make a play and go for the TD. I didn't see this as dragging him. But it was on the far side of the field from me so 🤷
  23. They literally could have just put the ball in the hands of the fans and the defense. It would have taken them eons to get to the endzone with how loud everyone was. Way too many ugly turnovers.
