  1. I don't think stud OL are super rare in FA and the Bombers have been on both sides of it. We picked up arguably the greatest OL in CFL history through FA and we've lost a number of really good ones over the last few years.
  2. I felt the same when O'Shea was talked about as a potential HC after only 3 seasons as a ST coach and that seemed to workout well. Any new HC is going to have a learning curve but almost all of the guys being mentioned have a lot more coaching experience than MOS. JY also has had the benefit of working under MOS so he might be the best bet to slide in without it being a complete teardown/rebuild.
  3. Walters said it came down to money. They had just shelled out big money to get Schoen & Brady back but that left them without the cap space for a few other players. Hardrick was coming off a season where he was the West nominee for best lineman so it wasn't a performance issue and he cashed in with the Riders who made him the highest paid American O-lineman. 4. No, it's Deslauriers and he's already on staff as Senior Director of Player Personnel . Eric Deslauriers - Winnipeg Blue Bombers
  5. I don't know that they offer him the GM role. Dinwiddie left because they (MSLE) are pretty happy having Pinball in that role and he has no desire to give it up right now. That could change if they feel it's necessary to lure MOS away but I also don't know if that's something MOS wants? I've never gotten the impression he has any interest in a GM role but who knows.
  6. Was on the Argos neg list earlier in the year but we added him to ours a few days ago.
  7. Not like they had a real choice. His contract is ending so they could delay it temporarily or allow it. It would probably ruffle some feathers if they deny the permission.
  8. We did kick tires on Miller already but went with Hogan. https://3downnation.com/2025/01/14/blue-bombers-granted-permission-to-interview-argos-qb-coach-mike-miller-for-offensive-coordinator-position/
  9. Mike Miller Toronto QB coach, not our current ST coach.
  10. Yeah he did his best to hide it but he wasn't moving quite right & the Als had MBT warming up for a good chunk of the 2nd half for a reason. If that happened early in the game, I doubt he finishes so the question is can he last a full game against the Riders? You'd have to think they're going to bring a ton of pressure in order to make him move as much as possible.
  11. I'm going with my heart on this one instead of my head. My head says Alexander coming up lame in the ESF is probably going to mean a 5th stripe. My heart says F**k the Riders.
  12. Former NFL commissioner Paul Tagliabue dies at 84 https://thescore.com/nfl/news/3393028
  13. Another tight race again that came down the end. It's a nice way to end an otherwise disappointing season! Thanks for running this every year Rich!
  14. One team in the visitors room and one team in the Bisons room. Nobody should be in ours.
  15. Back-up QB's have faired well the last few years so hopefully that continues if that scenario plays out.
  16. Historically, we do better in our picks and this year is no different but it's close. On CFL.ca, Pat Steinberg is in the lead with 56 correct picks. The rest of them have 53 or 51 correct picks. For this game, they are pretty split (3 MTL and 2 HAM). On 3DN, JC Abbott leads with 57 correct picks. The rest of their group ranges between 46-54 correct picks. They are picking the Als in this one by a margin of 8-2.
  17. I guess when you've only hosted the West division finals 4 times in over 50 years, it's cause for celebration. Hopefully BC rains on their parade (which I assume is planned for Sunday). Premier Scott Moe declares November 7 'Green and White Day' in Saskatchewan to celebrate Riders' West Final berth - 3DownNation
  18. From what Dinwiddie said at his presser, he was already doing a lot of GM duties in Toronto because MLSE is cheap and ran a lean front office. He actually expects his workload to lighten in Ottawa because Burke will still be doing a lot of the GM stuff (like contract negotiations). Dinwiddie made it clear to MLSE earlier that he wanted to be HC/GM but they were happy keeping Pinball in the GM role so that's what prompted the move to Ottawa.
  19. That's pretty much what most people here are saying. If MOS is not willing/able to make those much needed decisions, then like it or not, we need to part ways. If he can do that though, he should be brought back ang given an opportunity to right the ship. But I would be having that conversation before any extension is given.
  20. He might not scout but it looks like he has more say in the roster than you seem to think, Coaching dominoes begin to fall – Winnipeg Free Press
  21. Steinauer is president of football ops, why would he take a demotion? Also why would Hamilton allow it? They can't block a chance at a promotion but they could deny the Argos permission to talk to him about a lower position.
