Well it would seem he did a piss poor job of analyzing their cap situation so this might be addition by subtraction for the Als. Not great timing though for sure.

The starter money thing isn't exactly correct but it's up for interpretation I guess. The quote Walter gave was: I'm reading that as those guys want to get paid more like a Tate/Lulay than an actual starter but Walters is looking for someone cheaper since they want Davis in that role.

Correct. " Keeping was to be Winnipeg’s sixth offensive lineman this season, an area the Bombers remain thin. " http://slam.canoe.com/Slam/Football/CFL/Winnipeg/2016/06/10/22641585.html

US Politics
http://www.wsj.com/articles/number-of-illegal-immigrants-in-u-s-holds-steady-at-11-million-1474394518 Illegal immigration peaked at 12.2 million in 2007 under Bush and of those, 6.9 million were from Mexico. The numbers under Obama dropped to 11 million (5.8 million from Mexico). Obama also deported more illegals than any other president so you can't really say he wasn't doing anything about it. Trump is targeting Mexican illegals at a time when their numbers are shrinking but numbers from other places like Asia & Africa are rising.

Ironic considering the number of illegal immigrants in the USA were at a record high under Bush but decreased under Obama. Did your friend happen to vote Democrat the two previous elections for the Republican failure to act?

Game Day Chat Room
I'd like something like this. I don't go into the chat room during the game (too busy yelling at the TV) but I'd be interested in reading people's thoughts afterwards if it's not already in the GDT.

Bombers Off-Season Transactions
So Lawless is credible when you use him as a source but he isn't when someone else does? Also in that article, the salaries listed were from Looniecap - not from Lawless so those other numbers could be off. A lot of people feel that Looniecap is very hit or miss (ie: some salaries are accurate but a lot are way off).

Bombers Off-Season Transactions
Looks like we're tied for 5th... Durant's contract seems to be very similar to the one Nichols got (1.5 million over 3 years - 400k in year one).

Medlock and Bryant restructured deals finalized
http://3downnation.com/2016/02/25/cfl-players-restructure-contracts/ " American players pay income tax in Canada just like the rest of us do but a provision in the Canada-U.S. income tax treaty allows international players who maintain a permanent residence south of the border to be taxed just 15 per cent on any signing bonus – much less than their usual Canadian tax rate.
