Deferring to their decision doesn't mean you have to like it or agree with it. They have been been wrong in the past and will be again in the future, that's life. Deferring just means that you accept that they've made their decision (for whatever reason). Given that Lankford only played in 4 games this past year (and 1 game was as a kicker), I'm not sure why you keep bringing him up. They thought he had starter potential, it didn't work so now he's, at best, a back-up player. He knows the playbook and can fill multiple roles though so unless a replacement could do the same, it's not hard to see why they would keep him around.

If that were true, then Randle & Wild would still be here. The coaches obviously see value in Lankford that you don't but you're not privy to the same info they are. FTR, I'm not a fan of Lankford by any stretch but I'm also not a fan of benching/cutting a guy if you don't have someone better to replace them. The coaches know what they have better than any of us, so I'll defer to their judgement while still realizing that they are human and can/have/will be wrong at times.

No, I did hear that he asked for his release to sign with AEW though.

Love this post from Chris Randle:

100%. I haven't been to a single Moose game since they've been back but I've driven out to Brandon to watch the Wheaties play a few times. I'll probably still take the occasional trip out there but I'm definitely looking forward to seeing games here.

Now? Did you forget about their secret PR team? They've been doing off the books stuff for years.

Around the League: 2019 Off Season

For quite a while, you could tell Arash had an axe to grind with the club (or at least previous regimes). It seems to have lessened in the Walter's era. -

It's too bad Montreal is still holding on to Kavis... he would make an excellent replacement for Jones. -
Great news to wake up to this morning. So much for the talk of big deals not being signed without a new CBA in place!

The only reason I would like to see Kenny in the WWE is to see the matches with guys like Styles, Seth and Bryan. I know they've all worked together in some form before but to see them headlining Wrestlemania would be something else.
-
Per year is what I've read... that number is being shot down by some people though. Meltzer hasn't gone into detail (yet) but he's said it was a fantastic offer that the WWE made. I would guess that Kenny would be worth more than Cody and he was offered a 7 figure deal.

With so many matches having a forgone conclusion, WK was pretty underwhelming for me (from a storyline perspective). Was hoping for at least one unexpected result but it didn't happen.

And get them to pay for it! -
Gustavsson definitely didn't find out until after it was announced. The fighters will also lose money (not including the costs involved with getting their teams/family relocated). Nevada doesn't charge income tax while Cali does, so fighters will lose between 6-12% of their earnings.
-
What a sh!tshow... UFC 232 is being moved from Vegas to L.A. on 6 days notice because Jones still has roids in his system (same type as the ones from July 2017). NSAC wont license him but Cali will. I'm sure the fans travelling to Vegas for this are super happy with this decision.

My personal tie-in: I was too young to really remember Live Aid but in 2005 I drove down to Barrie Ontario to go the the Live 8 concert (20th anniversary of Live Aid). I don't think it ended up being nearly as huge as the original (the London Bombings happened the next day so that took away most of the media coverage) but there was still some cool stuff to see live (or on screen via satelite) in that atmosphere. Easily the most memorable concert I've ever been to.

Some of them (Bryant and Yoshi) already did. Still waiting on the Canadian guys though.

Pretty sure the intent is not to be competition for WWE, but to be more of an alternative. If this makes sense for them as individuals, then how is it dumb? For guys like the Bucks, with young families at home, if they can make the same (or more) money without all the crazy travel, the dumb decision would be not doing it. When you consider how much BC merch they sold without making a dime... that's a pretty good incentive to try to get some of that for themselves. Besides, they have a big financial backer so the risk for them is probably fairly limited. They can always go back to ROH/NJPW if it doesn't pan out.

Yes. He only played his senior year with Oregon.

I would think it's because you're talking about 1 restaurant vs a popular small chain with multiple locations.
