I'm not saying success or failure as a whole. I'm just saying as far as the class of rookie imports goes, it's pretty underwhelming. One thing I will say, this is the CFL - a lot of you tend to forget that. Sorry guys, I love the sport, and I love our game, and I love our league. But for the upteenth time, we are not a MAJOR league. We are not viewed that way. I won't call us a 'bush' league, not by a long shot, but we are not the answer to anyones prayers. My point? Mike, the best imports aren't here yet my friend. They're with Henoc, chasing their 'dreams' in the NFL. I think our import talent was fine. I also think come late August/September when the NFL cuts start you'll find more players coming that we can 'upgrade' with. That's just a CFL fact, not bias, not an 'opinion', but fact. Except all those guys who were cut in August the last 3 years are looking for work. It's not as concrete as you present it in terms of how and when guys come north. Besides, how often do we see guys actually step in in September and make an impact? Someone help me out here because I don't remember many. Greg Carr. He's about the only one I can think of. I don't mind Greg Carr.

Here's my fearless forecast... If Etch D stumble out of the gates... O'shea part ways with Etch mid-season... ...promote Tracey from ST Coordinator to Def Coordinator ...promote Dave Jackson to ST Coordinator ...or O'shea handles ST himself.

I literally don't think you could handpick a more mediocre group. How is Miles doing with Ottawa? Should we be interested to get him back if he is cut loose?

Most experienced yes. But maybe the coaching staff doesn't give too much weight on his experience as a 1-8 starting QB.

I actually think Saskatchewan has way more question marks than BC. They lost a huge chunk of their offence in Sheets and Dressler, and I'm not exactly sold on a guy like Taj Smith to be the go-to guy for Durant. BC won games with Thomas Demarco, I think they can win some with Kevin Glenn. Calgary 13-5 BC 12-6 Sask 10-8 Edm 5-13 Wpg 5-13 (hoping Edmonton wins the tiebreaker) Toronto 13-5 Hamilton 11-7 Montreal 8-10 Ottawa 4-14 JBR got the correct no of games win/loss.

Well, I am not talking about our players that came into the league via a different team... not talking about the free-agent CFL vets (Nat'l or Int'l) we signed... and certainly not about the Nat'l players we drafted.... I am talking about the Int'l players scouted and recruited by the current scouting department. With all the bravado that we hear and read from the media (like the one we read from FreeP this morning)... showing up this kind of list is surely underwhelming.

I kinda agree with Mike. After the 3-days of mini-camp and 18 gruelling days of training camps and probably several tryouts... this is all the Bombers produced so far? Maybe we are reserving a spot or two for guys we can pickup from other teams cuts.

You only need 1 Nat'l backup OL on gameday roster. If an injury happens, just go back to 2-3 Int'l/Nat'l OL the next game.

he dropped a ton of passes in game 1, receivers who can't catch tend not to be worth much. I am a bit disappointed in cutting Hall now, I think that was a move that could have waited until you make damned sure you're other backups are for real but whatever I know why they did it... I just don't have to like it. Guy makes one mistake compared to the other and he's out that's a risky way of running your team. I don't mind it. Allows the young guys to rise to the occasion and get more reps in practice. Shows confidence the brass has in our young quarterbacks. Retaining Hall and losing either Brohm or Marve in the process is not good. Plus how do you keep Hall if he's not #2?

Urrutia owns a IFL? UFL team. So he surely wont settle for $500/wk.

I guess the current regime put much weight on the veteran experience and doesn't want to rush rookies to starting position. I'm looking at the current roster and it looks like we could expect only 2-3 rookie starters for game 1... the rest are CFL vets.

based on the injury list from yesterday... plus the guys who reportedly back yesterday but might need time to recover fully I'm expecting these guys to go on IR... 1-game: Cotton, Ford, Jones, Kemp, Markett, Suber, Eisho, Stevenson... Swiston, Alexander, Briggs, West and Sears 6-game: Lucas, Newman that left... Howard, Bolton, Dumas, Fraser and Browning. maybe they gonna release more (deadline is tonight) in able to put them to the PR.
