We were still in the playoff hunt when the trade deadline rolled around, and Brohm had thrown a grand total of 47 career passes by that point with no TD's and one interception. Then he got hurt to end the season. Don't see a lot of teams lining up to trade an asset for a guy like Brohm at this point in his career.

Jones name didn't come up as often as Heenan because Taman announced that Heenan was testing the market and because it was widely assumed that Jones would either go NFL or re-sign with the Stamps prior to FA. However, there is little doubt that Jones is a HUGE fish in a small pond. He will be the highest paid OL in the league for whatever team signs him. 300k? Yea....that's a number that could be realistic. Can't see 300, he is too young to get that high that fast. He'll have no where to go from there. But definitely agree he will be the highest paid Olineman in the league this year. I think 250-265 gets it done. If he really explores free agency, he'll have offers from BC, Calgary, Saskatchewan, Edmonton, and Hamilton for sure. That is five teams going after the guy who is basically the only Canadian offensive lineman on the market worth pursuing. He will get 250k to start the bidding and it will only go up from there.

How about Bakari Grant? Coming off a down year but in 2013 he had over 900 yards. Big guy, lots of experience. Certainly a lot more proven than Ernest Jackson at this point.

I agree with iso... Looked okay, not great. Besides, Daniels barely started any games, who knows how he will perform next year. And we still need a right tackle, unless we are content with Devin Tyler and Cordaro Howard.

Why would we trade one cancer for another? Kessel would not do any better with the Winnipeg media. I don't think Kessel would be a cancer on this team. He wouldnt have to be as much of a leader here. I think his supporting cast in Toronto is more to blame for the Leafs problems than he is. I also don't think the Winnipeg media is anything close to the Toronto media. They are crazy in Toronto. When it comes to the Jets, Winnipeg media really isn't so bad.

We also saw him make the exact same kind of catches when he was with the Bombers. As you said, his performance was no fluke. People are reluctant to believe a CFL player can succeed in the NFL? What about Browner? jeeze louise Funny because when Browner went to the NFL, lots of CFL fans said he would never make it, all he does is hold, he is the most overrated DB in the CFL, etc. etc.

Maybe the team knowing they are rid of Kane for good will be cathartic and they will have a big bounce-back game.
