We had Goossen on the bench and were playing 3 import OL which meant Sherman had to start on D. Goossen should have been in the whole time because the American guards weren't even good anyways. Would have been much better off playing Sears and Goossen than American dud and Sherman. With all due respect to Sherman because he did the best he could but starting at SAM probably wasn't ideal.

So essentially they turned their 2nd rounders this year and next year into 3rd rounders and traded Bastien for Jorgen Hus.

Connor had more hits than any of the other LBs in the draft class. Led Can-West in tackles as a JR and SR. Made a lot of plays behind the line of scrimmage and defended against the pass well. Last year 9 LBs were selected and expect more of the same this year. I had Connor as my #7 LB before the Jay Langa positive test at the Combine. I have him as my #9 LB. 7th rounder or free agent signing, I'd say. Langa has totally fallen off the map for me. At 5'9" he had an uphill battle anyways. Pedestrian test results at the combine along with the positive drug test have completely killed his chances.

You could still get a pretty good OL at #8. I'd be happy with any of Mateas, Chungh, Groulx, Ruby, McEwen, or Lavoie. Maybe all 6 would be off the board by number 8 but I doubt it.

Demski has another one?

Thanks for that, Goalie, very interesting. As for Ehlers, sending him back to junior could even be counter productive. When you are that much better than the competition, you can start to develop bad habits... That would be a real concern for me.

Good point, well said.

Multiple 2015 CFL Combine Participants Failed Drug Tests

Possibly but more likely one brainiac with a bad idea and 3 collaborators to help defray the cost. Haha I guess that's one way to look at it. -
I don't see Connor getting drafted. Too many good linebackers ahead of him. He will get a chance somewhere but won't be a draft pick IMO.

Interesting Interview with Former Bomber QB Max Hall

I liked Mark F's avatar before it was cool -
1 way or 2 way, it doesn't matter, he will be required to pass through waivers.

I think any reasonable person believes the answer lies somewhere in between your two statements. It's not so black and white. The Conservative battle cry "They must be held responsible!!!" is just as absurd as the Trudeau mantra "We have to understand WHY those terrorists murdered so many people"

TUP I get what you're saying, I really do. But you're talking about how the guy is being portrayed as a hero, well that's not his fault. He shouldn't be punished because the left want to hold him up as some kind of hero. That is playing politics with a person's life.

He was a brainwashed kid. He has shown plenty of remorse. Reportedly racist and sexist? Lol better send half of Canada to Guantanamo. What a ridiculous point to make.

Well I think Levant has some intelligence and common sense (regardless of his political leanings) so yes ofcourse he did. I think intelligence and common sense would dictate that Khadr should have been released.
-
I've read and watched my fair share of Levant. Let me guess, he opposed letting Khadr out.
-
Ezra Levant, even-keeled? You must be joking. He is the biggest clown in Canadian media. You've gotta be leaning pretty damn far to the right if you agree with anything he says.

I don't see size being an issue with Petan. He is not going to get any bigger aside from maybe putting on a few pounds. He is small, he's always been small, but that hasn't stopped him yet. He is a really incredible passer and playmaker. If this were NHL 15 he would have a 99 on passing. It is effortless for him. It doesn't matter who you put him on a line with, those players are going to get goals. He would be the kind of guy who maybe doesn't get big even-strength minutes but would be playing on the second power play unit as a rookie. The only reason I would send him down is that he would likely be the first line center for the Moose, playing big minutes every night and getting acquainted with the speed of the pro game. That might be the best place for him next season.

Looks like Chris Ackie, Danny Groulx and Ron Omara are heading to Giants camp as well. Scroll down to the full list. http://www.giants.com/news-and-blogs/article-1/Former-Rutgers-QB-Gary-Nova-among-Giants-rookie-mini-camp-tryouts/908db669-cf36-434d-9179-3fa8899694ba

I think Ehlers and Copp both make it, and that might be it. Outside chance for Petan but I strongly doubt it unless injuries force it to happen. I don't think Morrissey will make it, unless there is a big shake-up on D during the offseason.

My new surprise cut is Jamall Westerman. Just kidding. Or am I? Ha ha!

Saint Mary's with 4 players. Someone there must have given them bad advice on how to beat the tests. Saint Mary's needs to fire that guy.
