It's an interesting argument when it's guys at four different positions. Winger is the easiest of the four, so Laine would have really needed to dominate to beat out the rest of them. I have Matthews first, which seems pretty obvious. I think a good argument could be made for any order of the next three guys.

They're good young players who are improving as they get older. It's not like we had bunch of older journeymen put up career seasons. None of the benchmarks that were set last season are unreasonable to meet again.

Decent goaltending should have us in the playoff hunt next season.

Agreed. Laugh tracks are a relic of the past. Formulaic jokes followed by canned laughter. Arrested Development and 30 Rock are two of the best shows ever made.

He's been with the franchise for 10 years. It's good to see the team respecting that. The other guys in the room, especially the vets, wouldn't appreciate seeing a guy like that benched for a revolving door of rookies.
